00:27changing anyone's mind. He also emphasized how his words were not intended to make light of
00:32Charlie Kirk's death. I don't think there's anything funny about it. Those who think I did

00:42I'd have felt the same way. Kimmel was not shy about his criticism of
00:46FCC Chairman Brendan Carr and expressed the need for freedom of speech on the airwaves,
00:50a message that carried over from a subtle post he made earlier in the day. And while not everyone
00:55was happy about his return, I'm holding out that changes. While Jimmy got emotional,

02:33And COVID is exactly what Violet Affleck addressed the United Nations about on Tuesday.
02:40Yeah, Trump's not the only one who made headlines there this week. The eldest daughter of Jennifer
02:44Garner and Ben Affleck told the UN assembly that when it comes to the ongoing pandemic,
02:49our present is being stolen right in front of our eyes. The 19 year old who's a freshman at Yale
02:54delivered the address while wearing a K95 mask. She criticized adults for the relentless beat of back
02:59than normal and for ignoring and downplaying the threat of long COVID. Gotta love young activism.
03:06So apparently that Coldplay kiss cam controversy may not be what it seems. That's according to a
03:11source close to Kristen Cabot. You know, the exact who's canoodling with her boss, CEO Andy Byron.
03:17So get this, they're claiming there was no affair. The two just had that good of a working relationship
03:23and friendship. The insider also claims the fallout is unfair because Cabot is the hardest working
03:28woman they know. I mean, everyone's gonna have their opinions on this one regardless. But according
03:33to the source, Cabot was already getting a divorce before the viral moment and she didn't break up
03:39anyone's marriage. So maybe leave the homewrecking comments to yourself. A video of a rider on the bear
03:45being handcuffed and taken off the train has gone viral.
03:48To arrest the one black dude on the train. There's a lot to discuss here. Let's find out exactly what led
03:54to this. Hi Mikkel. Hey Chris. Okay, what exactly led to Alex O'Keefe's interaction with the police?
04:01So Alex O'Keefe was traveling on Metro North, which is the local commuter rail here in New York City,
04:05on Thursday morning. He was going to Connecticut and an older white woman got on the train and complained
04:09because he had his legs up on the other seat and you're only allowed to be on one seat when you're
04:12on the train. She sort of escalated this to someone on the train and then they called the Metropolitan
04:16Transit Authority police who came onto the train and arrested Alex. He's seen in this video sort of
04:20asking why he's being arrested. He's very confused. They say disorderly conduct, then they say it's for
04:24resisting arrest. So it's all very sort of chaotic. Then take him off the train, put him against the
04:28wall at the train stop, give him a citation. How unfortunate. What's MTA's response to all of this?
04:33The MTA says they do have video that shows Alex with his legs stretched out on another seat,
04:36which is a violation. MTA is denying that he was arrested, saying he was just given a citation,
04:40even though we see him being led away in handcuffs. And they're siding with this woman,
04:44who, if you see the video, as they're walking by her seat, has two large suitcases and is taking
04:48up two seats, which is essentially what they are removing Alex from the train for. So it's a bit
04:52funny that they're siding with her when she's doing something that they say is wrong. And then they're
04:55also saying that Alex caused the train to be delayed by six minutes. Not surprising at all.
04:59Okay, so was Alex able to get home? Was he stranded? He was able to take the next train after being left
05:04at that station. But again, I mean, he's a famous screenwriter, so he has a big following on social media,
05:07which is why we all know about this. But how many times is this happening and we don't know about it?

07:10Now is to sit down with Kyle McLaughlin. Hi, Kyle. Let's talk The Lowdown, your new show. Ethan Hawks
07:17stars in it and Sterling Harjo of Reservation Dogs created it. You always choose such interesting
07:23projects. What drew you to this one? It always starts with the script. But even before the script,
07:28I knew that Sterling Harjo, our director, was attached. I was a huge fan of Reservation Dogs.
07:35I just thought his directing and storytelling was so specific and spot on and interesting. And so I said,
07:41oh, this is somebody that I think I would enjoy working with. And then I found out that Ethan,
07:45of course, was involved. And I love Ethan. This is our fourth thing that we've done together. Where Ethan
07:51goes, quality usually follows. So I was like, oh, this could be really great. And then I just love the
07:57character of Donald. He was complex. It seemed like he was going in one direction,
08:02but there were other elements. All these different things point to a very good outcome. And indeed,
08:06that's what happened. Sniffing at the wrong hole. I'm sniffing at the right hole and it stinks.
08:13Every one of people wants to know, will you be in season two of Overcompensating?
08:17I'm pretty sure. Yes. I saw Benny the other day. So the dad will be part of that in some way.

08:28Oh, it's my team from full picture from my wife's company.
08:35How does it feel being the internet's dad and baby girl? How does your son react to it?
08:39Well, he takes it in stride. He's okay. He basically just sort of tolerates me,
08:46which is good. And sometimes adds encouragement and some suggestions as well.
08:50He's doing a whole root beer grading post right now on Instagram. So he's heavily into that right
08:57now. So he's got his own creative outlet that he's having fun with.
09:00We were so, so sad when the great David Lynch passed. We know what he meant to you. How does
09:06he continue to inspire you? Tremendous loss. Tremendous loss of not only such a creative talent,
09:11but also a friend, you know, and, uh, that's hard. That's hard to, um, hard to get my head around.
09:17David's vision, um, his, his sense of the world, um, uh, was one of a kind, you know, and that I got to be
09:27part of that with him for a number of different projects was really, um, a special thing. I'm very
