00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Thursday, September the 25th, bringing you some of our headlines today.
00:06First of all, we have to go straight to football.
00:11Rovers obviously visited Tottenham Hotspur last night in the next round of the Caribou Cup.
00:17Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be and they did suffer a 3-0 defeat against the Londoners.
00:24They did concede two early goals in the first 15 minutes, but they didn't deter the Rovers' lads.
00:34They did their best, they didn't put their heads down and they took on Spurs quite well with some good retaliation.
00:45Bad luck all round really.
00:48I know my team didn't even reach that round, but we won't go into that.
00:51So, well done Rovers, now let's just concentrate on the league.
00:56Then, on to some news.
01:00New post office.
01:03We've got a planned reopening of a post office actually that won't have to close down earlier in the year due to the resignation of the postmaster there.
01:11But we have news now of a new location with extended hours.
01:16That's going to be some really good news.

01:19And then in politics, we have a, excuse me, a Doncaster, a Doncaster Reform UK have stripped a local council of the party whip and another has resigned as a scrutiny committee chair after the creation of a new business intended to capture council contracts related to Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
01:41Councillor David Knight will no longer be a member of the Reform UK group on the City of Doncaster Council and will sit instead as an independent, while Councillor Rachel Reid has informed party leadership that she will resign as chair of the overview and scrutiny management committee, but will stay as deputy group leader.
