In the early hours of September 24, 2025, a targeted rooftop attack took place at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas. Authorities confirmed that an unknown individual opened fire from an elevated position, aiming at a secure area where detainees were being transferred.

During the attack, two detainees were unalived, and one was critically injured before emergency services arrived. No ICE agents or officers were harmed. Investigators discovered unspent shell casings marked with the words “ANTI-ICE,” indicating a possible motive behind the assault.

Law enforcement identified the shooter as a 29-year-old individual, who was later found unalived himself on the rooftop, with evidence pointing to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The FBI and Homeland Security are now treating the incident as a case of targeted violence, working to determine whether the attack was politically or ideologically motivated. The shooting has prompted nationwide conversations about immigration enforcement, facility security, and rising tensions around immigration policies.
