00:00Hello, how are you?
00:01You look absolutely beautiful.
00:02You too.
00:03You look so cool.
00:04The last time I saw you was Oppenheimer.
00:05Oh my God.
00:06And obviously I was dressed in that orange, remember?
00:07No, you looked awesome.
00:08You looked awesome.
00:09It's so good to see you again.
00:10You too.
00:11Knocking it out of the park once again.
00:12Excuse the pun.
00:13But every performance, Emily, is just amazing.
00:16Thank you so much.
00:17Listen, you're so great in this.
00:18What was it like getting to play the women that you see that have the internal fights
00:22and battles with these fighters?
00:23Sure.
00:24I mean, I think that that's the thing that there's such a brotherhood amongst the fighters.
00:29And they almost get the best of each other in some way.
00:33There's this like intrinsic bond that they have.
00:36But I think what goes on behind closed doors and what Dawn had to absorb of Mark's addiction
00:42and of his vulnerability and his own brokenness, like she was the sponge for a lot of that
00:47and had her own demons that she was turmoil by.
00:51So I think it's a complex relationship.
00:54It's not a tidy one.
00:55It's not the one you see in movies often.
00:57And that's exciting to me.
00:58And talking about bonds, I love this bond.
01:01Oh, she's the best.
01:02She's such a gem.
01:03And I believe you kind of gave him the confidence as well to do this.
01:05Because you said, listen, I'll do it with you.
01:07We'll do it together, right?
01:08Yeah.
01:09I mean, I think that he always had this.
01:10I could sense over the years this sort of growing restlessness, you know, of like that
01:15idea of someone sort of looking to grab purchase of something new and he didn't know quite when
01:20or how or what it would be.
01:22And I think when this came along, there's nobody else who could play that part.
01:27But I think often it's easier for other people to recognize your abilities.
01:32You might have more self-doubt than others would put upon you.
01:35And I think Benny and I were like, you've got this.
01:38Like, you can do this.
01:39And he was transformative in it.
01:41It was an astonishing thing to see someone I consider I know well completely vaporized,
01:47like that version of him.
01:48It was so exciting.
01:49Well, you smashed it once again.
01:51Lovely to see you.
01:52Thank you so much, Emily.
01:53Thank you so much.
01:54Good to see you.
