Towering smoke from Mount Underwood forest fire casts ominous view over Port Alberni

Various parts of the North American continent have been ravaged by wildfires this summer, and this video captures the impact of one such blaze.

"Here’s my view of the Mount Underwood forest fire in Port Alberni," the filmer, Victoria, told WooGlobe.

The view shows a colossal, still plume of smoke looming behind the mountain, a haunting presence that makes it clear the fire is nothing to take lightly.

By August 12, 2025, the blaze had already expanded to nearly 1,500 hectares.
