[Verse2] The gentle dupe, a fraud unseen, A puppet figure on a fading green. "Aslan commands!" the ape would cry, While Puzzle felt the truth was just a lie. He played his part, too timid to refuse, Worn down by fear, and Shift's unending use.

[Verse3] But courage came with honest Jill, Who found him hiding, weeping by a hill. He shed the skin and all his shame, And found his own true self, and spoke his name. No lion now, no grand pretense, Just one small donkey, full of innocence.
