00:00It was past midnight. The only sound in the room was the slow, steady tick of the clock on the wall.

00:06As Yael lay on her bed, scrolling through her phone, her eyes heavy with sleep.

00:12Suddenly, her phone rang. The screen lit up with an unknown number. Her chest tightened.

00:18For a moment, she thought about ignoring it, but curiosity won. She pressed answer.

00:23Hello? She whispered. There was silence. Then a faint, distorted whisper came through the speaker.

00:32Asterisk. Don't look behind you. Asterisk and nervous laugh escaped her lips.

00:38Okay, very funny. Who is this? Sana? Ali? Stop messing with me.

00:44But before she could hear her reply, the call ended. Her screen blinked no service.

00:50Heart beating faster, she placed the phone beside her. That's when a message appeared on her screen.
