00:03Well today at Fratton Park we've hosted an event bringing together women from all sports and physical activity opportunities
00:10to break down the barriers to make sure that more girls and women in our city get involved in activities that exist in Portsmouth.
00:19And I want to make sure that whatever someone's background, wherever they're from,
00:23they take advantage of all the fantastic opportunities that exist in Portsmouth.
00:27We learn from the challenges and make sure it's easier for people to access physical activity and sport in the future.
00:33Tell me what the reaction's been like from the event.
00:35Well this is the second meeting we've now had. We had a popular event back in March.
00:39Today's event brought together young people from Priory School and a whole range of grassroots groups
00:45to make sure we focus on what the challenges are and come out with solutions that we can now work out a strategy
00:51to improve access and break down the barriers to sport and physical activity for women across Portsmouth.
