02:35and prevents us from escaping.

02:37That means no more war,

02:39no more hunger,

02:40no more death,

02:41at least in the traditional sense.

02:43Everything would be provided for us.

02:44We would essentially be in a giant terrarium,

02:47a perfect environment where nothing can hurt us.

02:50Sounds pretty great, right?

02:52Well, only if you believe you're the pet.

02:55But what if we're the predators?

02:57What if our purpose is to escape,

02:59to break free of the firmament,

03:00and venture into the infinite darkness beyond?

03:03The Van Allen belts wouldn't hold us back.

03:05We'd rip them apart.

03:07There are some pretty messed up things out there,

03:09but also a lot of unexplored potential.

03:12There are other electromagnetic fields out there to harness,

03:15other energy sources to tap into.

03:17If we could just get past the firmament,

03:19anything would be possible.

03:21The flat Earth model offers us a universe

03:23full of possibilities,

03:25but it comes with some baggage.

03:27It means accepting that we've been lied to

03:29our entire lives.

03:30It means that most of what we know is wrong.

03:33It means letting go of the past and starting over.

03:35It's terrifying and exciting at the same time.
