A la veille d’annonces similaires d’autres pays, le Royaume-Uni, le Canada et l'Australie ont reconnu officiellement dimanche l’Etat de Palestine. Les trois pays affirment vouloir avancer vers la paix et « préserver la possibilité d’une solution à deux États ». En réponse, un ministre israélien a proposé d’annexer la Cisjordanie occupée.

00:11That moment has now arrived.

00:16So today, to revive the hope of peace and a two-state solution,

00:23I state clearly, as Prime Minister of this great country,

00:30that the United Kingdom formally recognises the state of Palestine.

00:37We recognise the state of Israel more than 75 years ago as a homeland for the Jewish people.

00:46Today, we join over 150 countries who recognise a Palestinian state also.
