00:35the story. The sunlight was harsh as it spilled over the couch Caspian used as his bed. The Omega
00:41curled up tightly, trying to hide from it, but the whole room was already filled with light. The TV
00:47was loud with sports, and somewhere in the apartment, his alpha mate, Noah, blasted music. Caspian rolled
00:55onto his back, his pale blonde hair falling into his eyes, legs hanging off the couch arm. Three
01:01years on that couch had left his back and neck aching. He hadn't even eaten last night because
01:06Noah had thrown a party. His stomach growled, reminding him how hungry he was. The pack never
01:13let him eat with them. They said his presence ruined their meals. The apartment kitchen was empty too,
01:19and Noah had refused to let Caspian cook for himself. Soon, Noah stepped into the room. The
01:25alpha's hair was wet, his dark eyes cold. Be out in 30. He ordered flatly before walking off.
01:32Caspian almost laughed. Everyone knew Noah only agreed to mate him so his parents could run the pack.
01:39At 15, right after his parents' death, Caspian was told he'd marry Noah at 18.
01:44Noah had made it clear he wasn't gay, and this was just duty. Caspian never had a choice. He washed
01:51up quickly in the small guest bathroom Noah allowed him to use, put on his old clothes,
01:57and packed his satchel. His piggy bank, the only money he had, stayed hidden. Before leaving,
02:04he spotted a $100 bill under a figurine. He took it without guilt. He knew Noah often kicked him out
02:10to bring women home. Caspian slipped quietly through a back path he discovered as a teen.
02:16He wanted to leave the Moonstone pack, but he had nowhere to go. For now, the Omega was trapped
02:22by the Alpha's world. Caspian slid his hands into his pockets as he walked down the streets of
02:28Moonstone Town. The town had grown around the pack, and most of the people living there were pack
02:33members who chose to stay outside the main pack house. He hadn't been outside Moonstone in years.
02:39When he was younger, he had traveled with his parents, but since their deaths, he was kept
02:45close. Sometimes he thought about reaching the next towns over, where families who once knew his
02:51parents lived. Maybe they would treat him kindly, but he was tired of packs. He didn't want another
02:57one. Leaving a pack was nearly impossible. Every person had to belong to one, no matter how big or
03:04small the area. The only exception was Hain City. It was far away, run by mafia families instead of
03:11alphas, and people could live freely there without pack ties. The thought was tempting, but Caspian had
03:17no plan for survival if he ever made it that far. He walked aimlessly until he reached the bus stop at
03:23the town's edge. From here, people could take a bus to the next city, and then a train anywhere they
03:29wished. He watched with envy as others boarded freely. He touched the stolen hundred-dollar bill
03:35hidden in his satchel, but deep down, he knew it wasn't enough. When people began to notice him
03:41staring, he turned back toward the pack house. By the time he slipped inside, lunch was already over.
03:49At least he managed to sneak some food before retreating to a storage room, dusty, cold, and forgotten,
03:55much like himself. No one even noticed he had been gone for hours. Lying against the shelves,
04:02Caspian's mind spun with restless thoughts. Maybe it was the money tucked away, or maybe the memory of
04:09breathing fresh air outside, but for the first time, escape didn't feel like a dream. What would
04:14happen when Noah grew tired of pretending? What would happen when the Alpha wanted a real mate?
04:20Caspian knew he couldn't stay a secret forever. Usually, he would read or scroll his old
04:25phone, but tonight his focus shattered. His mind painted maps of how to run, how to reach Haynes,
04:32how to disappear. He had no diploma, no job skills, no money, but he would take anything over this life.
04:39If he could reach Beckley, then board the train, he could vanish into the city's crowd.
04:44Time slipped away, and he realized he had skipped dinner again. With a sigh, he dragged himself back to
04:51the shared apartment. The air reeked of perfume and sweat, and clothes were scattered across the
04:57living room floor. Caspian wrinkled his nose at the heavy scent of sex before slipping into his
05:02storage room to hide his satchel and money. He changed into worn pajamas, exhausted.
05:09When he stepped back into the living room, Noah was there.
05:12The Alpha's scent was sharp with anger, heavier than usual. Caspian froze. Noah rarely acknowledged
05:19him, but now his black eyes burned. You stole from me, you little thief, the Alpha roared.
05:25Caspian's face stayed blank, though his heart pounded. What? What are you talking about?
05:31I left a hundred dollars in this room, and now it's gone. Noah snarled. Caspian almost mentioned
05:37the Omegas Noah often brought home, the ones who left their clothes on the floor and their scent in
05:43the air. But he bit his tongue. Noah had never struck him before, and Caspian wasn't about to
05:49give him a reason. I don't know anything about that. I left like you told me to. Shut it.
05:55Noah snapped, shoving past him so hard Caspian stumbled. The Alpha stormed into the storage room,
06:02where Caspian kept his few belongings. His voice echoed with rage. I know you took it. Shut up.
06:10I don't want to hear your annoying voice again. Caspian stood frozen in the doorway,
06:15his mind drifting far away as Noah tore through his things. The Alpha scattered his clothes,
06:21stomped on his books, and destroyed what little he had. Only when Noah shoved past him on the way out
06:26did Caspian blink back into the moment. Noah said nothing more, not even when he failed to find
06:33the money he accused Caspian of stealing. A strange laugh caught in Caspian's throat. Maybe he was going
06:39insane. He quietly stepped back into the ruined storage room, locking the door behind him.
06:46Careful not to trip over the mess, he went straight to the small hidden notch in the wall where his piggy
06:51bank was safe. If Noah had found it, he would have taken every cent, guilt or not. Caspian didn't
06:58bother cleaning the mess. He just folded a few clothes into his satchel, put the piggy bank back,
07:04and tried to sleep. He wasn't sure if Noah came back that night, and he didn't care. By morning,
07:10after a restless night, Caspian returned to the storage room. He packed carefully this time,
07:16a couple of his favorite books, his heat suppressants, and his best clothes. The suppressants
07:22had been tossed at him years ago by Noah, along with a handful of insults. Still, Caspian was
07:28grateful for them. He couldn't imagine handling his heats on top of everything else. Taking a shaky
07:34breath, he smashed his piggy bank open. Among the shards, he gathered the money his parents had once
07:41spoiled him with about a thousand dollars. It wasn't much, but it was all he had. With his satchel
07:48strapped to his shoulders, Caspian left the apartment. He didn't even look back at the wreckage.
07:54His heart thundered in his chest as he made his way downstairs, but no one questioned him. The few
07:59pack members he passed didn't give him a second glance. At the utility room, he paused to catch his
08:06breath, sick with nerves. But once outside, the cool morning breeze washed over him, calming his
08:13racing heart. He walked briskly down a hidden path through the woods and into town, pulling a beanie
08:19low over his head to hide his hair. As the bus stop came into view, his pulse picked up again.
08:25Could it really be this easy? Could he really leave? He reminded himself of the plan. From Moonstone to
08:32Beckley by bus, then a train straight to Hane City. Simple. He was an adult now. No one could
08:38stop him. Caspian kept his face calm as he boarded the bus, though inside, his nerves screamed. No one
08:45called his name. No one stopped him. Soon the bus rumbled to life, full of commuters heading out of
08:52Moonstone. He sat by the window, clutching his satchel tightly to his chest, his head bowed. For the
08:59entire ride, he stayed tense until the wheels finally rolled into Beckley. Relief rushed through
09:05him as he stepped off the bus. Beckley was bigger, louder, and busier than Moonstone. He remembered it
09:11from childhood trips with his parents. It wasn't a short walk to the train station, but he didn't care.
09:17Saving every dollar mattered. Thank you so much for listening to today's story.
09:23Sparkling heart, I hope you enjoyed following Caspian's journey. Don't forget to like, share,
