00:10Dolphin House is a new build being built by Cornwall Council and it's specifically for
00:3718 to 25 year old people who are either homeless or at threat of being made homeless. We have a number
00:43of young people spread throughout Cornwall who really just don't have the same opportunities
00:47as other young people and to grow up in a family home where you're loved, you know, probably most
00:53of us have the opportunity to develop and learn how to live our life and within Dolphin House there'll
00:58be wraparound support to make sure that they have all the opportunities available to them to learn
01:02life skills and hopefully be able to move into their own independent living as soon as they're
01:07able to.
01:08This building is designed to form the fourth quarter of this big roundabout so we've got
01:12the Art Deco building there, different style there and then different style here and this
01:16will be the last piece of the puzzle as it were and this will be the big sort of grand finale
01:20and the last piece that forms up the main landslide and roundabout. It will be built traditionally
01:25where so block work walls, concrete floors with retail units on the bottom and then the parking
01:32will be all fed from a courtyard at the rear and there'll be a big wide pavement as you
01:36see on these so it's nice easy access for pedestrians. They'll be cheap as possible really to heat.
01:43They'll also be very good for sound transfer and things like that which isn't as I appreciate
01:48as important maybe as lower bills but actually as a place to live it is really important.
