00:01There are very few farmers now who are in the position to start their sons or daughters off with a farm.
00:07What a tragedy.
00:09Haven't we enough common, ordinary horse sense to set about building a better social system than this?
00:18People need jobs, equality, education.
00:22The least powerful person in the country, understanding collective bargaining, can become the most powerful.
00:31And that is what politics is all about.
00:35Farmers and laborers, rural and urban working people, saw their dreams for a better life slipping through their fingers.
00:42They reached out and joined hands with neighbors and coworkers, forming social and political ties to create the farmer labor movement.
00:50But we have a glowing dream of how fair the world will seem when everyone can live their life secure and free.
