00:00Now Disco Machine, we have another one of those matches that could be a main event anywhere else
00:13in the world, but here in PWG it is not. We've got Jack Evans making his PWG debut. As you can
00:21see right there, very agile, a tremendous high flyer, taking on the Fallen Angel, Christopher Daniels, one of, if not the best professional wrestlers in the world today.
00:34And we have him in a PWG ring. Jack Evans for the first time and Chris Daniels, no stranger to PWG rings.
00:39That's very true. You've seen him on numerous, numerous cards. Christopher Daniels giving Jack Evans what for, showing that he doesn't need all of the fancy flippity-dos to win a match.
00:51And, you know, that's basically what this will come down to. It'll come down to technical wrestling, the crowd firmly behind Christopher Daniels.
00:59Maybe not everybody's familiar with Jack Evans at this point, but I'm sure by the end of the night, everyone in the audience will be a fan of Jack Evans.
01:08That's right. And Jack Evans making his reputation with those flips and his body motion, which is just incredible. No one can duplicate it. But Chris Daniels made his reputation by winning wrestling.
01:19That's very true. And, you know, as I was saying, this match will basically be a battle between the aerial assault of Jack Evans and the technical mastery of Christopher Daniels.
01:32Now, you would see the size advantage here, which you think that, you know, Christopher Daniels would obviously have. Jack Evans, quick as a cat.
01:40It's a situation very similar to our second match of the night where Puma and Tony Stradlin, you know, Puma, the smaller man, but he still was able to come up with a victory over the much bigger, much stronger Tony Stradlin.
01:53And that could very easily be the case here. Jack Evans, no stranger to the pay window. He is, you know, he visited the pay window many times.
02:01And, you know, for him to actually score a win over Christopher Daniels, though, that would be, that would be, you know, an extra, an extra special, extra special win.
02:12And now we see Jack Evans, the crowd saying that Christopher Daniels was served in that instance.
02:19Christopher Daniels going for the flying mare, Jack Evans, flipping out of it and just landing on his feet and throwing it in the face, showing Christopher Daniels that, you know, my aerial expertise is worth more than the moves off the top.
02:31You know, he can apply it in almost any situation.
02:33And Christopher Daniels, you know, much saying to Jack Evans here, like, that's a great move, but it's not going to win your wrestling match.
02:41And that's what he showed him right there, that even though you can do that, I can do that.
02:44And it's Christopher Daniels throwing it back in the face of Jack Evans.
02:48And we saw there Jack Evans, you know, flipped out of another flying mare, but Christopher Daniels right back on top of him with the arm drag.
02:56And showing why Christopher Daniels is the consummate professional and why he is one of the most well-respected wrestlers in professional wrestling today.
03:03Because he does have the mind for wrestling as well as the ability and the, you know, the body for it.
03:08He is, he is the total package, you might say.
03:10No wasted effort on Christopher Daniels' part.
03:13And Jack Evans is feeling that right now with the side headlock.
03:17Christopher Daniels cranking back on the side headlock.
03:19And Jack Evans is just, he is, he's in a very bad predicament.
03:24He backs him in and shoots him off.
03:25Christopher Daniels, a shoulder tackle, nearly running Jack Evans over.
03:28And Jack Evans very wisely escaping out of the ring.
03:31There's no way he can, he can match up with Christopher Daniels in a, you know, blow for blow, blow for blow face off.
03:38That's right, no way.
03:40And actually, um, where's the encrusted that do that?
03:43Stayed right on.
03:44That's very true.
03:44I think, um, you know, much like many of our friends here at the Hollywood Jewish Community Center,
03:51they, uh, they wear bobby pins or hair pins in their, uh, their yarmulkes.
03:56And they do it so on windy days they don't blow away.
03:59And I believe that's what Jack Evans does.
04:01I believe that some of those yarmulkes are up to four grand.
04:03That's true.
04:03They have jewel-encrusted, uh, gold, uh, gold-leaf yarmulkes.
04:07Um, I actually saw one where it was just the, the, a giant diamond.
04:12It was, it was just a diamond, it was a diamond carved and chiseled in, into a yarmulke.
04:18And, and that's not being racist.
04:19And you know, you, you know who won that, or you know who wore that yarmulke?
04:22Who's that?
04:23Woody Allen.
04:24The King of the Jews.
04:27Congratulations, Woody Allen.
04:28Congratulations.
04:29You are the leader of your people.
04:30You, you, uh, and I, I speak for all males, we envy you.
04:33That's very true.
04:34And, uh, Jack Evans with a elbow to the face of Christopher Daniels now backing him in.
04:37Christopher Daniels not taking that and going for a hip toss, Jack Evans flips out of it
04:42and very, very quickly rolls him up.
04:44Two, or not even a two count, a one count, Christopher Daniels is, he, I believe he has musked the
04:49do-rag and now Jack Evans forced to take it off.
04:51Much like Jerry Lawler.
04:53He's had enough.
04:53He's thrown the do-rag down.
04:55That's right.
04:56Pull the strap down.
04:57Man, the, the crowd, the crowd, a, a, a bit split.
05:00They're very, very impressed by Jack Evans' ability this, at this early point.
05:04And now some of the crowd getting behind Jack Evans.
05:08Jack Evans is almost jawing with the crowd, trying to play some head games with Christopher
05:11Daniels.
05:11But it'll take more than head games to win a match against Christopher Daniels, this guy.
05:15Absolutely.
05:15And Rick Knox knows it, too.
05:17He says, hey, he's not going to beat you on this day.
05:19And then, uh, well, Rick Knox is actually, uh, exchanging, uh, hair tips.
05:23That's what it was.
05:24Uh, Jack Evans making, uh, comparison between, uh, between Rick Knox and Christopher Daniels
05:29in, in the fact that they are, um, not of the full follicular, uh, uh, glory that Jack
05:36Evans is.
05:37Sam's follicles.
05:38That's right.
05:39And now the, um, the retarded gentleman in the crowd getting, getting in the face of
05:45Christopher Daniels.
05:45Christopher Daniels inviting him into the ring saying, hey, why don't you try doing my job
05:49for the night and I will, uh, I'll have the, the orange slice moth guard and the, uh, and
05:55the, the helmet and I'll do your job for the night.
05:58And the retarded man coming back with a great retort, I have hair.
06:01Which was, who knew?
06:03He'll, he'll win that argument every time.
06:06And now Jack Evans really wrenching that arm at Christopher Daniels.
06:09Christopher Daniels, though, showing why, showing his technical expertise and just escaping
06:13from that into an armoring of his own.
06:16Jack Evans rolls through.
06:18Roll through by Jack Evans.
06:19You mean to step on your lines?
06:20No, no, no.
06:21Just, you know, I'm going to call a wolf.
06:23And as I, Jack Evans is a, yeah, a hand plan.
06:25It wasn't even a cartwheel.
06:27It was more of a, uh, I don't even know.
06:30Jack Evans.
06:30Tony Hawk-esque.
06:30Yeah.
06:31Back flipping out of it.
06:32And now Jack Evans, he's still, no matter, no matter what he's tried, he's still in the
06:36armoring of Christopher Daniels is not letting, uh, not letting himself be intimidated
06:41or confused by Jack Evans' aerial wizard.
06:44And Jack Evans really don't even, you know, the wrestling is what, uh, we said before,
06:49that wins, uh, Christopher Daniels' matches.
06:51And Jack Evans is, uh, noticing that.
06:53And now he just decides to throw three elbows in.
06:56Three elbows.
06:56Beautifully, uh, beautifully done by Jack Evans.
06:58Jack Evans flipping over Christopher Daniels.
07:01He rolls him up.
07:01One, two.
07:02Two count only.
07:03Jack Evans.
07:03Again, that, that lightning quickness, that speed and that agility catching Christopher Daniels
07:09by surprise at the first time he caught him with, he only got a one count.
07:13This time he gets a two count.
07:14Maybe next time he rolls him up, he'll get a three count.
07:16That's, that's what we call logical progression.
07:19That's right.
07:19And actually, if you had to explain that, I'm sure a lot of our, uh, listeners and watchers
07:24will be, uh, thrown off.
07:25They don't really know what's going on.
07:26That's right.
07:27It's just like a, uh, stupid ballet.
07:28That's right.
07:29And now Christopher Daniels, again, uh, he's, he's got the arm rung of Jack Evans.
07:34He's working him over.
07:35And now Jack Evans sweeps out the leg of Christopher Daniels.
07:38He runs off the ropes.
07:39Daniels ducks down.
07:40And now he's got him up.
07:41Oh!
07:41Beautiful, beautiful backflip dropkick on the, um, on the back body drop attempt by Christopher Daniels.
07:47Jack Evans, again, catching Daniels by surprise.
07:50It, it appears that, uh, that Daniels, or that, that Jack Evans is just wrestling, wrestling
07:56to counter Christopher Daniels.
07:57That's, that's how he expects to win this match.
07:59He, he's not going to, there's not going to be one move from his arsenal that's going to
08:03make or break this match.
08:04It's going to be a mistake by Christopher Daniels that makes or breaks this match.
08:07And, and Christopher Daniels, uh, does not make many mistakes.
08:11I'm sorry, Jack Evans.
08:12That, that scouting, uh, could be a little off, but you never know on any given day.
08:15And now a runny knee by Jack Evans.
08:18And this is where a Jack Evans, you know, he cannot win a match on the outside, but he
08:22certainly can do some damage.
08:23And listen to what he's going to do here.
08:24He, he decides to, uh, he's going for the, he's going for the, he's going for the L7 squared.
08:28Oh, my God.
08:30A beautiful, beautiful springboard sky twister.
08:33Christopher Daniels didn't even see it coming.
08:35I believe he was looking at the retarded gentleman by the time Jack Evans.
08:38He is quite distracting.
08:38A, a, a, a beauty of a specimen, if you will.
08:43He's arresting, if you will.
08:45When you look at him, you, you, you want to look away real quick.
08:47But you can't because your eyes are just drawn back to him.
08:50You can't believe how hideous he is.
08:54And now Christopher Daniels thrown back in the ring.
08:56Another young gentleman.
08:57A shot of our ring crew, I believe.
09:00Yes.
09:00And now Jack Evans, he's, he's trying to keep up the attack on Christopher Daniels.
09:04Again, jaw jacking with the crowd.
09:06Perhaps giving Christopher Daniels an opportunity to, to create a comeback.
09:10And yes, it was.
09:11That's all it took.
09:13Christopher Daniels catching Jack Evans in the, um, power slam.
09:16In the power slam and just putting him down on the springboard cross body attempt.
09:20And that's where Jack Evans, you know, we talk about high risk.
09:23All those high risk maneuvers are great.
09:25But you have to hit them in the ring and they have to be for pins.
09:28And Jack Evans really gambling on that time and Christopher Daniels had it well scouted.
09:32Christopher Daniels, a beautiful, beautiful, picture perfect body slam.
09:36If you had to, to write a definition of, a body slam in the dictionary, it would just show a picture of Christopher Daniels doing that.
09:43Exactly.
09:44Over and over again.
09:45And, and so tremendous.
09:47And asking for one more.
09:49Yes, he's going to give it to him.
09:50And a third body slam.
09:51You know how you can tell that that body slam is more than just a formality in professional wrestling?
09:55When Christopher Daniels actually slams him down, Jack Evans' body weight bounces Christopher Daniels' feet off the mat.
10:03Go back and rewind it if you don't believe me.
10:05But you can see when Christopher Daniels slams Jack Evans down, his, his, his actual body is lifted off the mat because he throws Evans down with such force.
10:13And this is wrestling 101 right here.
10:14Look at that.
10:15Picture perfect.
10:16He's got him up.
10:16Standing vertical stuple.
10:17Shades of Lionheart, Chris Jericho, and everyone that's come before him with the beautiful, beautiful delay vertical stuplex.
10:25And the crowd very appreciative.
10:27They know that that move is not easy to do.
10:31And that's a two count only for Christopher Daniels.
10:34He's, he complains for a second to Rick Notch.
10:37But I, I don't think I've ever seen a, a, a delay vertical stuplex ever end a match.
10:42No.
10:42But, um, if you leave him up there, uh, long enough, his head will explode from all the pressure.
10:47He's very true.
10:48He's very true.
10:48He's very true.
10:48He's very true.
10:49Not a lot of people.
10:50And Christopher Daniels telling Jack Evans to breakdance out of that as he knees him in the back.
10:55And, you know, I don't really think there is a breakdance reversal for a knee to the back.
10:59I, I'll tell you what.
11:00Fans, when they yell up in the ring, they, they have some brilliance.
11:02Like I remember in the match, uh, before, the Super Dragon, someone called him Super Super.
11:07Hey.
11:07Yeah.
11:08Yeah.
11:08You know, you're getting a little edge here.
11:10Whoa.
11:11You saved that blue material for the improv, buddy.
11:15And Christopher Daniels again going for the suplex.
11:17Jack Evans reverses out of it.
11:19Elbows Daniels in the back of the head.
11:20Goes off.
11:21He catches him.
11:22And a standing moonsault press.
11:23Two count only.
11:24Jack Evans, he's back up on his feet as quickly as he was down.
11:27He's keeping the attack on Christopher Daniels.
11:29He knows that that's what it will take for him to win this match.
11:32He cannot just rest on his laurels.
11:34He cannot wait for Christopher Daniels to make a mistake as he was earlier in the match.
11:37He knows that, he knows by now that Christopher Daniels is going to take the fight to him.
11:42And he knows that Christopher Daniels is not going to take a night off.
11:45And a beautiful tilt-a-wool backbreaker.
11:47A duo.
11:48And he's got him the third time.
11:50Will he go for a fourth?
11:52Oh my God.
11:53He wrenches him over for a fourth.
11:55And a fifth backbreaker.
11:59Brutality personified.
12:00I cannot believe it.
12:02The crowd is just, they are fully, 100% behind Christopher Daniels.
12:08And I must say that I am fully behind Christopher Daniels after that sequence of maneuvers.
12:13That was incredible.
12:14I don't think I've ever seen it.
12:16Turned five times in a row.
12:17And now going for the pin.
12:19I don't think I've ever seen it twice, Disco Machine.
12:21I have to say so.
12:22Let alone five times.
12:23And Christopher Daniels only getting a two count perhaps.
12:25If he hooked the leg a little deeper, he could have got the victory.
12:28But Disco Machine, really?
12:30Who am I to give Christopher Daniels advice on professional wrestling?
12:33No.
12:33Actually, everything that Christopher Daniels does is good in our world.
12:36That's right.
12:37And Jack Evans, he's clawing his way to the rope.
12:40With the crowd chanting either Jack or Tap.
12:43I can't really tell.
12:44Jack, Tap.
12:45Jack.
12:47And Tap.
12:47And Daniels is sitting back on, he's almost on the head of Jack Evans.
12:52He's just wrenching back full force with the Boston Crab attempt.
12:55But now he breaks off.
12:57He goes into the rolling bow and arrow stretch on Jack Evans.
13:01And he's just bending him like a wet noodle Disco Machine.
13:05And it seemed that he was going for an STF on that one instead.
13:07And rolled it into a bow and arrow.
13:09Quite innovative.
13:10Quite innovative indeed.
13:11And Jack Evans, he's got to be thinking that exact same thing.
13:14I think he's, Jack Evans is thinking, when is my flight home?
13:18That's right.
13:19And Christopher Daniels, he has administered quite a bit of punishment to Jack Evans up until this point right now.
13:25And Disco Machine, I would say that Jack Evans needs to do more than just capitalize on a mistake of Christopher Daniels.
13:32He needs to make a concentrated offensive attack to Christopher Daniels.
13:38He needs to capitalize on one missed opportunity and just bring the fight back to Christopher Daniels.
13:45Use the springboard kicks, use the drop kicks, use everything in his arsenal if he expects to win this match.
13:50Could it be too late?
13:51Jack Evans seems worse for wear at this point.
13:54And now Christopher Daniels almost dragging him up, throwing him into the corner, pillar to post.
14:00Christopher Daniels comes in.
14:01And dude, that could be the mistake that he was waiting for.
14:03Jack Evans gets the boot up.
14:04Christopher Daniels, he catches him.
14:06Oh my God!
14:07It was almost a flying headscissors DDT by Jack Evans, or a reverse DDT, I should say.
14:14He takes Christopher Daniels off, and that could be the mistake that Jack Evans was waiting for.
14:19Now, if Evans can capitalize on this, if he can press the attack, if he can keep on Christopher Daniels, you can see he breaks off those elbows to the side of the head of Daniels.
14:28Jack Evans, he backs him in, shoots him to the ropes.
14:31Beautiful flying back elbow.
14:33He covers him.
14:34One, two, two count only for Jack Evans on Christopher Daniels.
14:38And it's going to take a lot more than a back elbow to put down Christopher Daniels, but Jack Evans is just starting, it seems at this point.
14:44Whips him in, and now what he's going to go for?
14:45He's going for that leg lariat.
14:46Beautiful spinning leg lariat.
14:48Taking Daniels off his feet again.
14:50Jack Evans pressing the attack.
14:51He could be wasting his breath.
14:53I would say that Evans would be better off hitting three, four moves in a row, then going for a pinfall, rather than trying to pin after every time.
15:01He capitalized.
15:02Chris Daniels ducks under the leg lariat, but catches a drop kick right to the face.
15:08Jack Evans, he's cutting his throat.
15:10He knows it's over.
15:11Oh, my God.
15:13The twisty, springy thing.
15:16The standing, I guess, start-ups press, I guess to call it, covers Daniels, and now Jack Evans running off.
15:25He runs.
15:26Oh, my God.
15:27He hits him with almost a somersault sent on.
15:30Two count again.
15:31Jack Evans, like I said before, might be better off to hit three, four, or five moves in a row, then go for a pinfall attempt.
15:39Because after that, Chris Daniels, it'll take a lot more for him to kick out than it would after just being put down with one move.
15:45And you can see Jack Evans, those elbows don't have what they used to have.
15:51They don't have a lot of gas behind them.
15:53And now Chris Daniels blocking the Frankensteiner attempt.
15:56He's got Evans up.
15:57He flips him down to his feet.
15:59Oh, my God.
16:00A beautiful, beautiful enzuguri by Christopher Daniels just taking Evans off of his feet, taking the wind out of his proverbial sales disco machine.
16:10And actually knocking the pants down of Jack Evans in the process.
16:14He hit him so hard, he knocked his pants off.
16:16I believe that's the first time we've seen that in PWG.
16:18One, two.
16:19Oh, just a two count.
16:21Jack Evans running on fumes at this point.
16:23And now the pants are still down.
16:26Christopher Daniels calling for the Angels' wings.
16:28He's got one-armed hook.
16:29He's got the other arm, but Jack Evans, he sweeps up the legs.
16:33He pulls him up.
16:34He slingshots him over the top rope.
16:36Christopher Daniels takes an awkward spill to the floor.
16:39But now Jack Evans, he's got Daniels on the outside.
16:43He's in the inside.
16:44The ring is his canvas at this point.
16:46And it's up to Jack Evans to paint on it.
16:48And now Jack Evans, he's got Daniels spread out.
16:52Oh, my God!
16:55Springboard.
16:56What can he possibly call that?
16:58I don't even know, but it appeared to end in almost a powerbomb inadvertently by Christopher Daniels.
17:05And now, I believe, a fan on the outside moving his Yoshinoya bowl from the head of Christopher Daniels.
17:13That's almost $6 worth of Yoshinoya that was almost taken out after that springboard sky twister.
17:19I will call it a springboard sky twister for an extra twist.
17:21I will agree with you, disco machine.
17:23For an extra twist.
17:23That was an incredible maneuver by Jack Evans and both men getting the 20 count from referee Rick Knox.
17:30And I don't blame either man for taking their time on the outside at this point.
17:34Not at all.
17:35Yeah, and thank goodness that referee Rick Knox has incorporated the 20 count into Proluson Deruloid, not the 10 count.
17:42Because the match would be over at this point.
17:44The match would be over.
17:44Right now, but it is a 20 count.
17:47And now, both men very, very slow to get to their feet.
17:51And that Yoshinoya hork cleared out of the way.
17:57And thank goodness because that will make for some good eating.
18:00Jack Evans slowly ascending to the ring.
18:03We are at 16 right now.
18:0417, both men falling their way back into the ring.
18:08It would be a shame, 18, if this match ended on a count up.
18:12But no, Jack Evans back in the ring at a 19 count.
18:16The fans very appreciative that this match will continue.
18:20And you know, disco machine, I am also very appreciative.
18:22I am enjoying this match.
18:24And for it to continue is just wonderful.
18:26And Christopher Daniels, a fiery elbow to the side of the head of Jack Evans.
18:31Jack Evans doesn't quite have the force behind his that Daniels does on his.
18:34But now Daniels is, he's gained the advantage.
18:37He's a series of elbows.
18:38Backs Jack Evans into the corner.
18:40Elbows, I called them.
18:42Well, that's all right.
18:43That's all right.
18:43The pace is fast and furious.
18:45And Jack Evans, and now what is he going to go for?
18:48A cartwheel.
18:49Oh!
18:49A cartwheel back elbow.
18:51But he knocks himself out of the ring.
18:54Now Jack Evans climbing up to the top.
18:57Oh!
18:57A diving, a diving knee attack to the back of the head of Christopher Daniels.
19:02Two.
19:02Two count only.
19:04Christopher Daniels very nearly lost this match to the debuting Jack Evans here in PWG.
19:10Jack Evans, his back is still, still busted from his outstanding maneuvers.
19:15Now wants to go for the suplex.
19:16The back breakers by Christopher Daniels.
19:18Daniels reverses.
19:19He hooks him in for it.
19:20He rolls through.
19:20He's got the leg.
19:21One, two.
19:23Two count only.
19:24Christopher Daniels showing Jack Evans that, hey, I can surprise you with a pinfall attempt.
19:28And now Jack Evans.
19:29He hooks Daniels up.
19:30Two count only.
19:31Daniels able to kick out of that.
19:33These men just trading, trading pinfall attempts with one another.
19:36Jack Evans goes for the sunset flip.
19:38Christopher Daniels, he rolls through.
19:39He spins him up.
19:40And now Christopher Daniels, small package.
19:42One, two.
19:43Jack Evans rolling with a small package.
19:45Both men trying for a small package, but they're rolling on one another.
19:49And now neither man has a clear advantage at this point.
19:52And they're just going back and forth with a small package pinfall attempt.
19:56Referee Rick Knox doesn't even know it's a dip.
19:58Unbelievable.
19:58And both men just have exerted themselves and, like, just spent all of their energy trying
20:04to pin one another.
20:05Rick Knox couldn't even get a one countdown before it was reversed.
20:09And now both men are down.
20:11A bit dizzy from that exchange.
20:13We're dizzy from calling it and watching it.
20:15And Jack Evans, his back still reeling.
20:17He can't even get to his feet.
20:19He's so dizzy.
20:20And now referee Rick Knox again administering the standing ten count.
20:23The crowd firmly behind both men.
20:25They want to see this match continue just as much as we do in this gold machine.
20:28And now Christopher Daniels, first to his feet, gives a kick to the midsection.
20:33And now will he be going for the hang of the wings?
20:35No.
20:36He'll be going for the powerbomb.
20:37But Jack Evans comes out of it.
20:38And a spinning kick.
20:39Oh, my God.
20:40A spinning high kick to the forehead of Christopher Daniels just taking him off his feet.
20:45Jack Evans, you can see, there is a lot taken out of him.
20:48He's going up to the top.
20:50The fans have called for it, and I believe Jack Evans is going for it.
20:53He's climbing up to the top ever so slowly.
20:55His back has taken quite a bit of punishment, but he's up top.
20:59He's going for it.
21:00Oh!
21:016.30, but nobody's home.
21:04Disco machine.
21:05What an impressive maneuver.
21:06But Christopher Daniels, if the fans at home, or if the fans at ringside knew it was coming,
21:11Christopher Daniels had to know it was coming.
21:13And he did roll out of the way, able to avoid the 6.30 by Jack Evans.
21:17He picks him up.
21:19Oh!
21:19Just a backbreaker.
21:20Now Christopher Daniels, he's going to show off a little bit of aerial expertise of his own.
21:25The best Moussala ever.
21:27He covers it in 1, 2, 3.
21:30That's all it took.
21:31Christopher Daniels puts away Jack Evans, but that's not to discount the effort,
21:36to discount the performance of Jack Evans, making a very, very impressive debut here.
21:41Thank you so much for watching.
