00:00Her stomach has got to be going upside down when you've got to sweat this guy in.
00:04All right, and with that, the anties are going up to 10,000.
00:07Blinds 40 and 80,000.
00:09And right now, back to Matt.
00:11Quick fold by him with seven deuce.
00:13That's his strategy, even though he hadn't caught any cards lately,
00:16is just to stay out of the way, let these two guys fight it out,
00:19where he can get a chance to play heads up with this title.
00:21160.
00:22And move up several hundred thousand more in real money.
00:24Well, the Houston Bandit with ace-10 this time.
00:28I'm going to make it 160 to go.
00:30I won't rob him.
00:31Because right now, normally I say, ship it.
00:36I won't rob the band.
00:38We'll see a flop.
00:39He's made the minimum raise here, Vance.
00:41And he's going to get called.
00:43Because Sohel is priced in, as we say, to make the call with the Queen A.
00:47Here comes the flop.
00:49I want a queen, comes right on the flop.
00:51How about Queen 8?
00:52It's come Queen 8-4, unbelievable.
00:54Sohel has flopped the top two pair.
00:57And Cornell is checked with just ace-high.
01:00Sohel is going to bet his top two.
01:02It's 250,000.
01:04Not going to play it slow.
01:06Sometimes the obvious way when you hit is to check it, play it slow.
01:10Cornell looked down there to see if he had the ace of hearts, I'm sure,
01:13which he does have, but he's still two hearts away from making a flush.
01:18He's going to call him with ace-high events.
01:23That's because of the style of this player that you make this call,
01:27thinking you may have the best hand with ace-high, believe it or not.
01:30Now the board pairs fours.
01:32Again, Cornell checks.
01:33Well, it's a disturbing card if you're sitting in Sohel's seat.
01:37You've got top two pair your opponent called.
01:39You're afraid he's got bottom pair.
01:40Might have made trips, but you're going to bet anyway.
01:42You're just not going to give him a free draw where he can make a straight
01:45or a flush to beat you.
01:46He's bet 400,000.
01:50Cornell with really not much of a hand at all.
01:54As the cards lie, he would have to catch an ace on the river to win this pot
01:57to make aces up, but if he calls here because he thinks ace-high
02:02could very well be the best hand.
02:04He knows this guy's capable of bluffing and making a lot of plays.
02:08They play a lot together down in Houston.
02:11Here they are at the final table on the World Poker Tour.
02:14Battling out for the over 900,000 first-place prize,
02:17and Cornell has made the call here.
02:20Let's see if he can get lucky.
02:25He's going to need it, and no, it's a jack of diamonds.
02:27No help for Cornell.
02:29And again, he checks the ace-high.
02:31Sohel has got the Queens up, and he's going to fire here,
02:41with Queens in age 600,000.
02:44He just wants to punish the Houston Bandits some more.
02:48This has turned into a massive pot.
02:52Well, that's the only thing Cornell can beat,
02:55is a stone-cold bluff.
02:57Of course, he knows Sohel is capable of making such a bluff.
03:01Well, once again, Sohel gets up and leaves the table
03:09before the action is complete,
03:11something I don't think they should allow.
03:13Cornell does look good on TV, buddy.
03:33Now Sohel is out there laughing and giggling.
03:36Cornell is just contemplating what to do.
03:40There's a huge pot out there.
03:44Does he want to put another 600,000 in?
03:49Tell me what you have, and I'll tell you what to do.
03:54Um...
03:58Can I phone a friend?
04:05James, let the man use his lifeline.
04:07Whatever he wants.
04:08I said, let the guy use the lifeline.
04:11He has to flop.
04:12Sohel, Sohel.
04:13Wow, he's made the call with the ace high.
04:15He's not going to like it.
04:17And just because Sohel is such a crazy player,
04:19that bluffed so many times,
04:21he got paid off for an extra million on 4th and 5th Street
04:25because of his style of play.
04:27This guy, I'm Rui Pelek, has coached successful pros that have made millions of dollars.
04:37And now he's bringing that expertise to you.

04:55One of the ones to watch on the World Poker Tour this season,
04:58and the first time we've had a one to watch at a final table.
05:01Action is on him now.
05:02Yep, Mike Scarbo is folded.
05:04Got to attack the big cheese.
05:06Oh, boy.
05:07He said, I'm going to attack the big cheese who's in the big blind.
05:09He raised with the King Jack here.
05:11Makes it 13-5.
05:12Eric Seidel folds, and now...
05:14Raising chips.
05:15Look at this, the big cheese.
05:17Tom Marchese with just a 10-7 offsuit.
05:20Is he going to get fancy?
05:21Yes.
05:22Very peculiar raise by Tom Marchese.
05:25This is the short stack versus the big stack.
05:29It's not often you raise a huge empire when they've got position on you.
05:33But he's going to be called.
05:35So William Reynolds has called his friend.
05:38Got 10-7 up against King Jack.
05:40Here comes the flop.
05:42Oh, and look at this.
05:43Two pair, 10s and 7s.
05:44How do you do that?
05:45And an open and straight draw for Reynolds.
05:48It's a dirty board.
05:49We can see some fireworks here.
05:51Tom Marchese, the big cheese from Jersey.
05:53He makes the continuation bet, 32,500.
05:57I'm all in.
05:59Oh.
06:00Well, William goes all in.
06:01It's quickly called by Tom.
06:03Look at these two guys.
06:05Wow.
06:07Getting saucy with the 10-7 and flopping two pairs, the big cheese way.
06:11I got some two pairs.
06:13You just slammed it on your three-flop.
06:15Oh.
06:16Who three-pats 1.4 million?
06:19That's what I was thinking.
06:21The Milkman has a big draw here, Mike.
06:25Uh.
06:26Combination of any two face cards will win the pot.
06:29Where the Milkman is now the five of diamonds comes off.
06:31This gives William a flush draw as well as the open and straight draw.
06:35Well, Tom Marchese knows it's never easy.
06:38All right.
06:39He's playing that junk hand of 10-7.
06:41Can backfire.
06:42Will it here?
06:43No, it doesn't.
06:44It's good for Tom Marchese.
06:45He has done it.
06:46His hand's gonna hold up.
06:47Well, 10 of hearts comes off.
06:49Gives Tom a full house.
06:50He's counting at his chips.
06:51Well played.
06:52Siding with preflop.
06:53He has doubled up.
06:54The big cheese succeeding right there.
06:56Taking out his buddy, at least in that hand.
06:58The cost from each others here today for big money.
07:03All right.
07:04Well, this time William Foles.
07:06Eric Seidel also out.
07:08And it's back on Tom Marchese.
07:10Just a jack-eight of hearts.
07:12And he's gonna raise with it after winning the last pot.
07:14But the local Mike Scarborough with an 8-7 is gonna make the call.
07:19Let's see what happens.
07:21Wow.
07:228-7-4.
07:23Great flop for Mike.
07:25But Tom has flopped a flush draw.
07:27So, actually good flops for both players.
07:30Tom's gonna bet the flush draw.
07:31Remember, he won a pot earlier by making the semi-bluff.
07:34When he had a flush draw and a straight draw.
07:36Only bet 17-5.
07:37Now look at this.
07:38Scarborough is not gonna raise with his big hand.
07:40He's also not going out, Vince.
07:42He's got the top two pair.
07:43He's trying to trap his man into betting some more.
07:45There is.
07:46No help there for Tom Marchese.
07:48Tom is reaching for more chips.
07:5026-5 for Tom Marchese.
07:52Now the guy with the real hand.
07:54The local from Cincinnati.
07:56Only 30 minutes away from Lawrenceburg.
07:58Boy, he's gonna push.
07:59He's gonna make it 77-5.
08:01What will the big cheese from Jersey do?
08:06He's got the flush draw.
08:08Just doubled up.
08:09Does he want to gamble?
08:10Perhaps hit this.
08:11You can see his facial expression there.
08:13Of agony.
08:14He's gonna lay it down.
08:16Nicely played by Michael Scarborough.
08:18Oh, man.
08:19Wanted to see that river coming.
08:21I gotta take a look at the wonder cam.
08:23You're so curious, Vince.
08:24You always gotta know.
08:25Oh, the six of hearts.
08:26Tom Marchese would've hit the flush.
08:28He would've doubled up again, Vince.
08:29Crazy times on the World Poker Tour.
08:32Quit the car business to do exactly what he's doing here tonight.
08:35Play big-time poker and he's doing it well.
08:38Actions on him.
08:39He quickly mucks a king and a diamond.
08:40It's kind of surprising.
08:41Very surprising to muck that in a three-handed poker game,
08:44especially when you're the chip leader and you're on the button.
08:48But the Matador with a pair of threes.
08:51He's gonna pop it up a bit.
08:53Makes it 90,000 to go.
08:56And Frank's got the suited connectors, the 5-4 diamonds.
08:59He wants to see a flop, so he makes the call.
09:01Yeah.
09:02Some little cards.
09:04Now look at this, Vince.
09:06We've seen Carlos do this several times at this final table.
09:08He's betting 150,000 before the cards even come up on the flop.
09:11He doesn't know if they're gonna help him or not.
09:13Well, the flop is 5-4, Deuce.
09:15Carlos has flopped an open end straight.
09:17But look at this.
09:18Frank has the top two pair.
09:19And he has Carlos in bad shape right now.
09:21This could get very interesting.
09:23Carlos has bet in the blind 150.
09:26Now what will the tank do?
09:28All in.
09:29Frank coming back over the top.
09:30Well, he's going all in for nearly 800,000.
09:33And Carlos quickly calls him.
09:35We've got a bullfight here.
09:37Well, Frank turns up the top two pair.
09:41Carlos turns up the open end straight draw.
09:45Come on.
09:4610 outs.
09:47Yeah.
09:48Carlos says he has 10 outs.
09:4910 outs.
09:50Right time.
09:51That means four aces, four sixes, and two threes.
09:53Those are the 10 cards he's talking about that he can win the pot with.
09:56He needs one of them now.
09:57The tank plunging away.
09:59Out in front.
10:00Will he stay there?
10:01Here comes fourth straight.
10:03Oh, the 8 of diamonds comes off.
10:05Now that's a bad card for Carlos because it takes three of his outs away.
10:09Two outs.
10:10The 8, 3, and 6 of diamonds are no good for Carlos anymore.
10:12So all of a sudden, his outs have shrunk to seven.
10:15Frank the Tank in a great position to double up.
10:17Oh, but the three of hearts comes off.
10:19The matador out draws Frank on the river, and that's going to do it for the 22-year-old
10:24poker pro out of Syracuse, New York.
10:28Frank the Tank imploding before our very eyes.
10:32Out in third place, but he is going to pick up 167,000.
10:35This guy.
10:36I'm Murray Peleg.
10:37Has coached successful pros that have made millions of dollars.
10:41And now he's bringing that expertise to you.

10:58The final six we are witnessing here tonight.
11:01Let's go to the table on the former lawyer Alex Gomez, quickly folding his hand.
11:06Now to the 21-year-old Justin Smith.
11:08Got the 10-8 of hearts, but lets it go.
11:10Alec Torelli out as well.
11:12And now Faraz Jaka.
11:14Raised.
11:15Also known as The Toilet, has a king-10, and he's going to raise.
11:19Yeah, bets 100,000.
11:21Eric Seidel with two nines.
11:23He's going to just call.
11:25Doesn't re-raise with the two nines.
11:27And the Swede Christopher Sonson with a jack-six.
11:31Quits right there, so we have two-way action.
11:33Going to the flop.
11:35And it's action between the two chip leaders at this final table.
11:42Flop comes king-10-3.
11:44What a flop for Faraz.
11:46Eric checks the two nines.
11:48Faraz now with the top two pair.
11:51Just a thing of beauty for The Toilet.
11:56Now, will he bet it?
11:58Yes, he does.
11:59135,000.
12:01Well, you have to bet in case your opponent's got something like a queen-jack.
12:04You just don't want to give him a free card to beat you.
12:06Eric ought to be disappointed with that flop with just the nines.
12:11Look at this.
12:12What is he doing here?
12:13He's raising, Vince.
12:14He's going to take a stab at a bluff.
12:17Well, he's going to try to represent that he's got a king in his hand and just hope his opponent
12:21would throw something away like a pair of 10s or even a pair of jacks in this situation if he had them.
12:25Seidel making it 375,000 to go.
12:29Unfortunately for Eric, his opponent's got top two pair and is not going anywhere.
12:33It's just a matter of how he's going to play the hand from here.
12:38And with the possible straight and possible flush out there, most players would just come right back over the top of Eric right here with the top two pair.
12:45How much did he strike the hand with?
12:48Oh boy, he's got Eric mumbling to himself.
12:53Does not want to hear that.
12:58So Faraz trying to walk the dog here, as we say, does not re-raise.
13:03See if Eric will keep betting at this hand for him.
13:07Four hearts comes off on the turn.
13:09That no apparent help to anybody.
13:11Yeah, great card for Faraz.
13:14And Eric, let's see if he keeps up the shenanigans.
13:17Oh, don't do it to yourself.
13:20Seven.
13:21Oh, 700,000 with just the nines.
13:25Well, the reason Eric is betting here is because his opponent didn't re-raise him,
13:30which you thought he would have done if he had ace-king or even king-queen in that spot, most likely.
13:34As it is, Eric might put him on some type of draw hand, whether it's a flush draw or a straight draw,
13:40so therefore trying to chase him away here with his two nines, but that's not going to work.
13:46Nobody's getting away from the top two pair here.
13:49Not at all.
13:50You cannot get away from this hand.
13:5295% sure you're well out in front.
13:56Well, again, Faraz is just going to call with the kings and tens.
14:03And this causes concern for Eric, as you can see.
14:06Going to try the trap and trap.
14:08River card coming up.
14:09No help.
14:10Perfect card for Faraz, the toilet.
14:13Eric raised him on the flop, got called.
14:18Bet on the turn, got called.
14:20Now he's going to check on the river.
14:22And that is just one big white flag right there imploding before our very eyes.
14:29Well, this is the biggest pot of the night so far, and it's the two chip leaders that are clashing.
14:38And now Faraz is going to make a value bet of $500,000 now.
14:42That is not a big bet at all, folks, into a pot that's got over $2.4 million in it.
14:47And now you're sitting in Eric Seidel's seat, and you're saying, wow, there's $3 million sitting out there on the table.
14:53It's going to cost me $500,000 to make the call.
14:56Could my opponent possibly have a flush draw or a straight draw, or my two nines are the best hand?
15:00This is just a debacle for Seidel.
15:03Oh, man.
15:04He could lose three bracelets for this play.
15:08He's got instinct just off here.
15:11Goes to show you even the best of the best can misstep.
15:15And let's see if he can lay it down.
15:17No.
15:18Eric Seidel is going to pay him off.
15:19Oh, boy.
15:20Faraz Jaka with a clean sweep right there.
15:23Eric Seidel said this is going to be a tough final table tonight.
15:26He thinks it's the toughest in the history of the world poker tour.
15:29And right now he's saying to himself, geez, if I keep making mistakes like that, how am I going to win this thing?
15:35He's getting some chips out.
15:37He just calls.
15:38Does not raise in first position.
15:40Limps in with the ace-10.
15:42Jeff Forrest, his first time ever playing a WPT event.
15:45He's next to act, and he's going to fold.
15:47Thomas Marchese out as well.
15:49And now it's a round to the ice cream man, David Inselberg, who has an attractive queen-jack of clubs.
15:55He's going to make the call.
15:56Yep.
15:57Starman out.
15:58And motion with a pair of sixes.
16:01Check.
16:02Not going to raise.
16:03Three-way action.
16:04And the flop comes queen-jack eight.
16:06What a great flop for the ice cream man.
16:08Flopping two pair queens and jacks.
16:09Mosin's going to check with his pocket sixes.
16:10Nikolai has bet 70.
16:11I'm on.
16:12David the ice cream man going all in.
16:13Mosin goes away.
16:14And now it's back around to Nikolai.
16:15He's got the relay he's up against by far the tightest player at this table.
16:18Because Nikolai has a two-way straight draw.
16:33Will he get stubborn and make this call?
16:36All right.
16:37Deal.
16:38As you said Vince, I believe this is a stubborn call.
16:40That's not what I wanted to say this.
16:43I don't like this play Vince, and I say that because he's gambling against him.
16:46play events and I say that because he's gambling against the tightest player at the table.
16:51Four diamonds comes off, Nikolai shaking his head.
16:54Did not help him, David the ice cream man, one card away from doubling up.
17:00Just gotta dodge a kangaroo nine and he does so as an ace comes off, for the oldest guy
17:04at the table, 43 year old David Anselberg takes the ice cream stick to his nose and
17:09wins the fight.
17:10Well on that hand he did.
17:12Wait for the table to Vanessa and this time she's gonna look down at a king ten offsuit.
17:20Well she's gonna say aggressive here it looks like if she caps her cards using an indication
17:26someone's gonna play a pot and indeed she is she raises to 250,000 with the king ten.
17:32John Racer can't pick up any cards lately he folds but Andrew with a huge hand ace queen
17:40of diamonds.
17:41Once again he and Vanessa are gonna play a pot here at least temporarily.
17:49This is a powerful hand in a four handed poker game and he's gonna raise it.
17:53Makes it 700,000 to go.
17:55Antonio gets out of the way.
17:57Call.
17:58And Vanessa is gonna stick around makes the call.
18:00Well she wants to see a flop here Vince.
18:02Don't know if she's getting a little stubborn but she's just trying to beat this guy so bad
18:06cause he's taken so many chips from her so far.
18:09And look at this two pair top two pair for Andrew on the flop ace queen three.
18:14So Andrew's flopped the top two pair.
18:16Vanessa is a good shot straight throw.
18:18There you see Kirk Morrison who's come back to watch this final table.
18:22Sitting along with another good player Robert Williamson.
18:25So it's on Andrew.
18:27Huge hand and he's not gonna play it slow.
18:29He's gonna bet.
18:30Gonna make the continuation bet with the top two pair here.
18:33Just don't wanna give your opponent a free card where she could catch a gut shot to beat you.
18:37Or if she had a small pair make trips to beat you where they're gonna bust you on the turn.
18:41Well it's 700,000 and Vanessa cannot take the heat.
18:45Well she had a gut shot straight throw.
18:47Just didn't wanna put in 700,000 to try to catch a jack.
18:50And Andrew Robles extending his chip lead here at the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic.
19:00We'll see you next time.
19:01We'll see you next time.
19:02Bye.
