08:25In the Garden of Eden, when God promises that the woman's offspring will crush the serpent's head,

08:31he is speaking of Jesus.

08:33When Abraham raises the knife to sacrifice Isaac, and God provides a lamb,

08:39it is Jesus being announced as the Lamb of God.

08:42When Moses lifts up the bronze serpent in the wilderness to heal the people,

08:47Jesus said,

08:48As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,

08:51so must the Son of Man be lifted up.

08:54When David writes in Psalm 22,

08:57My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

09:01These are the words Jesus would cry out on the cross.

09:04The revelations of Jesus in the Scriptures are like a golden thread

10:49When you read about the Samaritan woman,

10:52do you imagine Jesus talking to you at the edge of your own pit of loneliness?

10:57When you read about Jesus calming the storm,

10:59do you ask Him to calm the storms in your heart?

11:02Three months later, she returned unrecognizable,

11:06radiant at peace,

11:08with an intimacy with Christ that shone through her eyes.

11:11The difference?

11:13She had transformed her reading into encounters.

11:15Every morning, when she opened the Bible, she knew she would talk to her best friend.

11:21This is the experience with Jesus in reading that transforms lives.

11:25When you read about Jesus healing blind Bartimaeus,

11:29you cry out,

11:30Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me too.

11:34When you read about Him feeding the 5,000,

11:36you recognize that He can meet all your needs.

11:40The Bible ceases to be an ancient book

11:43and becomes a bridge of direct communication with heaven.

11:46Every promise is for you.

11:48Every comfort is for your situation.

11:51Every victory described, there is a victory available for your life.

11:55And when that happens,

11:56you discover that interpreting the Bible

11:59is much more than an intellectual technique.

12:02Jesus said,

12:03My sheep hear my voice.

12:06I know them, and they follow me.

12:08Learning to interpret the Bible

12:10means developing spiritual sensitivity

12:13to hear the voice of Christ

12:15speaking through the Scriptures.

12:17It is much more than hermeneutical technique.

12:20It is intimacy with the author.

12:23When you have a close relationship with someone,

12:25you can identify their voice

12:27even in a noisy environment, right?

12:30Likewise, the closer you get to Jesus through the Word,

12:33the easier it becomes to recognize

12:35when He's speaking to you through a verse.

12:38This doesn't mean we can interpret the Bible any which way.

12:42Scripture has clear principles of interpretation.

12:46The Bible explains itself through the Bible itself.

12:49Clearer verses help us understand more complex passages.

12:53Context always governs meaning.

12:55But beyond technique,

12:57there must be a spiritual connection.

12:59Sometimes you may read a passage dozens of times,

13:02but on a given day,

13:03in a specific situation in your life,

13:06those verses come alive

13:07and speak directly to your heart.

13:10This happens because the Holy Spirit

13:12is the true interpreter of Scripture.

13:15A thorough Bible study

13:16combines heart preparation,

13:19contextual knowledge,

13:21comparison with other passages,

13:23and dependence on the Holy Spirit for revelation.

14:13to think according to human standards,

14:15fear, anxiety, materialism, competition.

14:31act as divine seeds planted in the soil of your mind.

14:35Where there were once thoughts of defeat,

14:38now there are promises of victory.

14:41Where there was once fear of the future,

14:43now there is confidence in God's sovereignty.

14:46Where there were once feelings of rejection,

14:48now there is the certainty that you are loved unconditionally.

14:52It doesn't happen overnight, but it does happen.

14:56Every time you meditate on a biblical promise,

14:59you strengthen your faith.

15:00Every time you declare a truth from Scripture over your life,

15:04you replace lies with eternal truths.

15:07God designed your mind to be shaped by His truth.

15:11Just as water always finds its way

15:13and transforms the landscape it passes through,

15:16God's Word has the power to completely transform your thought patterns.

15:21That's why Jesus said,

15:23You will know the truth,

15:25and the truth will set you free.

15:27It's not just intellectual information.

15:29It's life-changing revelation

15:31that frees your mind from mental and emotional prisons

15:34you may not even know exist.

15:36And this transformation of the mind

15:38prepares your heart for something even deeper,

15:41real intimacy with Christ.

15:43Intimacy isn't built through sporadic encounters.

15:47It grows through daily conversations,

15:49small moments, and shared confidences.

15:52This is exactly how learning how to have intimacy with Christ

15:56through the Bible works.

16:02When you read about Jesus weeping over the death of Lazarus,

16:06you discover that He is moved by your pain.

16:16When you read about Jesus forgiving the adulterous woman,

16:20you understand that there is no sin greater than His grace.

16:25When you read about Him washing the disciples' feet,

16:28you realize that He is not a distant God in heaven,

16:31but someone who bends down to serve you with love.

16:35This growing intimacy completely changes your perspective

16:39on prayer, worship, and the Christian life.

16:42You're no longer trying to please a stern judge.

16:45You're talking to your best friend.

16:47You're no longer performing religious rituals.

16:50You're cultivating a real relationship.

16:53The Bible as a path to Jesus becomes as natural as breathing.

16:58You wake up in the morning thirsty for the Word,

17:01not out of obligation, but out of longing,

17:04like someone who's in love and wants to read every message

17:08from their loved one over and over again.

17:11And you know what's most beautiful.

17:13The closer you become to Jesus through the Scriptures,

17:16the more He reveals Himself to you in everyday situations.

17:20You begin to see Him working in your life,

17:23speaking through circumstances,

17:25answering prayers in ways you hadn't noticed before.
