M.O., Guterres: soluzione a due stati "non è un regalo ad Hamas"

New York, 17 set. (askanews) - Il Segretario generale delle Nazioni Unite Antonio Guterres respinge l'idea che una soluzione a due stati per Israele e Palestina sia un "regalo ad Hamas". "È un regalo al popolo palestinese che ha sofferto molto anche a causa di Hamas", ha affermato durante una conferenza stampa. Non spetta al Segretario generale dell'Onu determinare se nella Striscia di Gaza stia avendo luogo un genocidio, ha poi affermato Guterres, dopo la pubblicazione del rapporto delle Nazioni Unite sulla situazione nei Territori occupati.Poi ha respinto l'ipotesi del dispiegamento di forze armate Onu per proteggere i civili a Gaza: "Verrebbe respinta da Israele e credo anche dagli Stati Uniti, e non abbiamo gli strumenti per una protezione efficace dei civili, visto che quattrocento dei nostri dipendenti sono stati uccisi", ha concluso.
