00:00And the Immortal Man, do you both survive to the end?
00:03Don't forget though, yeah? Yeah?
00:05Does he survive? Does he die at the end?
00:08Jay, mate, congratulations again on this movie.
00:10We've spoken already, I've told you how much I enjoyed it.
00:13But nights like tonight where you actually get to take to the car for it,
00:16you're side by side with this cast who I'm sure you're very close to
00:19during the making of this movie.
00:20It kind of puts things into perspective a little bit, I guess, doesn't it?
00:24Reminds you how privileged you are to be like
00:26where you are and the stories that you're telling?
00:28Oh, of course, man. These are the most important stories.
00:31And personally, the stories that I love,
00:33these groundbreaking, heartbreaking, emotional topics
00:37that we're trying to show on film.
00:41You know, mental health is a very sensitive topic
00:43and, you know, it's important to talk about.
00:46How difficult was it as a film to make for you?
00:48Because you always say, like actors say,
00:50they have to plunge their own depths.
00:52Like the characters aren't just the characters on the page,
00:54but it's a little bit of them as well as what you see on screen.
00:57And you had to kind of go to a place in this
01:01that was sometimes quite difficult to watch.
01:03Yeah.
01:04So how has that been for you kind of creatively?
01:07Was it sort of something you're excited to do every morning
01:11or was this you were at war with yourself
01:14to get what you put on the screen?
01:16I felt like the escapism was very freeing to play shy.
01:21So personally, like, I did enjoy it,
01:23but, you know, it doesn't take away with the tasks at hand that I have.
01:28But also it's just like a lot of resource.
01:30So like talking to my dad because he was working
01:33in these alternative educational units.
01:36The book, which is just incredible to me.
01:39Like, Max is a genius.
01:40Tim Meilens as well, Tim Meilens,
01:43the conversations that we had.
01:45And, yeah, look, I've been saying it today,
01:47but I just felt so safe with these boys.
01:50And, you know, when you have safety,
01:51you feel like as an actor you can just go anywhere.
01:54And if you go too far, they can just bring you back.
01:56Yeah.
01:56You know?
01:57And you're side by side with one of the most lauded actors
02:01on screen today, Cillian Murphy.
02:04Not just in this, but in the Peaky Blinders movie
02:06that is coming up.
02:07You can't tell us too much about it.
02:09But talk me through this experience working with him at the moment.
02:12What have you gleaned from working with him so far
02:16and the way he operates and the way he conducts himself
02:18and the way he approaches the work?
02:20What have you soaked up as an actor
02:23over the course of these two fantastic pieces of work?
02:26Well, one fantastic piece of work,
02:27and I'm going to assume the Peaky Blinders movie is a banger.
02:29I think he's just like a curious and passionate human being.
02:33I think he really loves what he does.
02:36And one of my favourite moments was just like
02:38when I'd see him behind the monitor
02:40and just seeing what he's nitpicking at.
02:43But then also just an amazing scene partner,
02:45a very giving person.
02:47The most important thing for me is just how human he is.
02:49You know what I mean?
02:50It's like with everyone in this,
02:52it's like you leave your egos at the door
02:54because we're telling something that is very honest.
02:56and if you have any of your ego in front of you,
02:59we're not going to be able to be as vulnerable as we like.
03:04So, yeah, man, very grateful.
03:06The guys looked out for me this last year
03:08and I can't thank him enough.
03:10And the Immortal Man, do you both survive to the end?
03:13Can I give a...
03:13Bob, get there, yeah?
03:14Yeah, did you survive?
03:15Did you die at the end?
03:16Bob?
03:16Yeah, no matter what...
03:17I'll go out, I'll catch you then.
03:19Bye, mate.
03:20Thanks, bro.
03:21Take care.
