Masters and Sim investigate when a young boy is attacked in an area known to be frequented by rent boys. Arresting their prime suspect proves to be the catalyst for a much bigger problem, when suspect Ravi Shah accuses DAC Roy Pearson of being part of a paedophile ring. However, when Sim organises a raid on the home of known pimp Julian Hargreaves, she fails to uncover any proof of his involvement. Meanwhile, Nixon is determined to nail Hugh Wallis for the abduction and rape of her daughter, but all her joy at nailing her old boyfriend is quashed by seeing what the questions are doing to Abi. Elsewhere, Harman tries to break things off with Scott Burnett after revealing prime suspect Greg Campbell has been charged with the murder of his wife Karen, but temptation proves too much for the pair

00:04I'm arresting you for kidnapping, you don't have to say anything about it, it may harm you
00:13defense if you do not mention my question, something you might finally call, anything
00:16you say may be given evidence.
00:30All right, mate, all right, try not to move, honey, where's the ambulance, please?
00:39Sierra Oscar from 158, can you confirm that the ambulance is on its way, please?
00:43All right, not long now, we'll soon have you out of here.
00:45Let me up, I've got to go.
00:46No, you're not in a fit state to go anywhere, what's your name?
00:49It doesn't matter.
00:50Do you know who did this?
00:51No one.
00:53Just leave me alone, I'm all wrong.
00:55Hey!
00:57What on earth were you thinking, snatching Abby like that?
01:00My daughter is accusing Hugh Wallace of kidnapping and rape.
01:03Well, that's only now, after you've put goodness knows what inside her head.
01:05You know me better than that.
01:08Peter Baxter's only man for kidnapping Abby, and now she's saying it's you?
01:11Yes, he staged the whole thing.
01:14So she lied on a police statement.
01:16She could be done for perverting the course of justice.
01:18She didn't know what she was doing, she was completely under his influence.
01:22Why would Hugh do this?
01:24For revenge, because I rejected his advances.
01:27Hugh told me himself I had to learn what it was like to lose someone.
01:33None of this makes sense.
01:35It's a psychotic mind game.
01:38Please, Jack, don't let him get away with this.
01:42Well, I hope you're telling the truth, Sam.
01:45Or you're out of a job.
01:46When you say that Hugh kidnapped you, what exactly do you mean?
01:52Do you mean when you were kidnapped and held in the lorry container?
01:57No.
01:59I agreed to that, to get back at mum.
02:02I see.
02:05And afterwards, as I understand, you willingly went to stay with Hugh at his house, yes?
02:12Yeah.
02:13So, are you saying now that he imprisoned you there?
02:17Yeah.
02:18I don't mean by locking me up or anything.
02:24Just by the way he controlled things.
02:26Okay.
02:27So, how often did you go out on your own?
02:30Only once or twice.
02:32He preferred it if I went out with him.
02:34Did you have your own phone?
02:38Hugh accidentally broke it.
02:41There was no point in getting it fixed, and he said I could always use his.
02:44And what about visitors?
02:46Did you have any visitors to the house?
02:48Why not?
02:52He said we didn't need anyone else.
02:56Abby, when did this physical relationship start?
03:02I don't know, a couple of days after I got there.
03:04Did you agree to it?
03:10Abby?
03:12I wasn't myself, I was confused.
03:14What do you mean?
03:14He was really kind to me.
03:20He gave me everything I could ask for.
03:24Felt loved.
03:26In a romantic way?
03:27Did you, did you want a physical relationship with Hugh?
03:41I wanted someone to love me.
03:43It's okay.
03:44It'll all be all right.
03:55How can it be?
03:58I'm carrying his child.
04:00It's a boy doesn't want to know.
04:11He can't be more than 15.
04:13Yeah, but they're always getting to scraps at that age.
04:15I think this is a bit more than that.
04:17I think those toilets are notorious for cottaging.
04:19Let's see what CRD reckon.
04:20If we must.
04:21Well, sorry, it's not a sexiest family liaison.
04:27Yeah, well, I don't think I'm cut out for that anyway.
04:29Well, what's brought this on?
04:31I get too involved.
04:32Yeah, we've been trained to deal with that.
04:34Yeah, I know, but...
04:35Honey?
04:36Honey?
04:38I kissed Scott Burnett.
04:41I had to tell him his wife's body had just been found.
04:44Yeah, and I'm sure snogging him must have helped him out no end.
04:46It wasn't like that.
04:47It was awful.
04:48He was so upset.
04:49His wife's only been dead a week.
04:51Yeah, I know, I know.
04:52It's terrible.
04:53I can't face seeing him again.
04:55Well, you're going to have to.
04:56If nothing else, just to apologise for your appalling unprofessionalism.
05:00I didn't mean for it to happen.
05:02Look, you'll have to sort this out.
05:03I'm going to have to tell the D.I. you've compromised your position.
05:06You meant to be a mate.
05:08I'm your acting sergeant.
05:09You put me in a really tricky situation here.
05:11Oh, my heart bleeds.
05:20Go for it.
05:21I think Samantha was right all along.
05:25Hugh does seem to have some kind of control over Abby.
05:28What about the rape allegation?
05:29Well, Abby believes that she was too confused by her feelings for Hugh to give proper consent.
05:36What does the doctor say?
05:37Well, there's no signs of physical trauma.
05:43Do you two believe all this?
05:44Yeah, I do.
05:45Unfortunately, it's Abby's word against Hugh's all the way to court, isn't it?
05:49And is Abby up to it?
05:51Not in her present state, no.
05:53I mean, there is another possibility in that we get Abby certified as mentally unstable and thereby incapable of giving consent.
06:01No way.
06:02No, the ordeal would be even more damaging for the girl.
06:04She's been through enough already.
06:05Then, the best we can hope for is a confession from Hugh.
06:08Who made the call?
06:13Anonymous mail.
06:14Passerby?
06:15Cruiser, more like.
06:16I mean, those toilets are well known.
06:18You wouldn't risk going near them unless you fancied what was on offer.
06:21Might explain the boy's reluctance to talk.
06:23Yeah, someone out there's got a nasty temper.
06:25He's in a bad way.
06:26Gov?
06:27Make it quick, Jo.
06:28I've got a meeting with MIT.
06:30Any chance of borrowing Susie?
06:31The young lad's been badly assaulted in Bevan Park toilets.
06:34Are they homophobic?
06:35I don't know yet, but Susie's child protection experience could be useful.
06:39Go on, Gov.
06:40He's only a school kid.
06:42I've had nothing but neighbour disputes all week.
06:44Okay, you insist.
06:46Honey, the Karen Burnett investigation's been stepped up to murder.
06:50MIT would probably appoint the wrong family liaison.
06:52Thanks for all your hard work.
06:53Sir.
06:55Well, that's one problem solved.
06:57Yeah, what's the other?
06:59Have you told Steve yet?
07:00We'd have gone to Samantha and Abby a whole lot sooner without you holding out on where they were.
07:08I'm sorry, but I couldn't help thinking Hugh was taking us all for mugs.
07:11Well, it doesn't matter now, because I'm about to interview him about the rape.
07:14Gov, look, you threw me off the case yesterday, but after Sam, I know Hugh better than anyone else.
07:18Let me assist, please.
07:19Well, he can help search his house for any clue to his relationship with Abby.
07:22Well, Peter Baxter surely is the key to this.
07:24How?
07:25All the evidence we found that put Baxter in the frame.
07:27He must have set him up.
07:28All right, get around to Baxter's flat so he can find.
07:31And you better want crown prosecution.
07:33Peter Baxter could be an innocent man.
07:36Could be.
07:41Abby is adamant that you cut her off from the outside world.
07:45Abby was free to come and go as she pleased.
07:49She chose to stay with me.
07:53Sir, when did the relationship become sexual?
07:55After the Baxter kidnap.
08:01That, um, ordeal brought us close together.
08:06Abby's now saying that it was you who staged the kidnap.
08:13What was her state of mind after the incident?
08:17Considering everything that had happened, she was coping very well.
08:21She almost died in that container.
08:23If you're implying that I took advantage, I didn't.
08:32You're a 50-year-old, highly educated man.
08:35She's a 17-year-old susceptible girl.
08:38I mean, as a psychologist, you must see how that looks.
08:42Abby came on to me.
08:45But you didn't resist?
08:47No.
08:49I didn't want to resist.
08:53By that time, I'd fallen in love with her.
08:56And did you ask Abby if she consented to sex?
08:59No.
09:00No.
09:02Not in so many words.
09:03Given her obvious vulnerability, don't you think that would have been wise?
09:08Abby and I are in love with each other.
09:11All right, and perhaps the timing wasn't sensible.
09:17But she's having a child now.
09:22I...
09:22I just want a home.
09:25You located Dears, Nixon and Abby at Baxter's flat.
09:29How did you know they were there?
09:31I guessed.
09:32It is my job.
09:37Sam's been on a mission to prove to everyone that Baxter's innocent.
09:45And it's working, isn't it?
09:54Gov, what's happening?
09:57He was insisting that the relationship was consensual.
09:59And you believe him?
10:02Hey, I've got to keep an open mind.
10:05Look, your colleagues are falling over themselves to help you.
10:08Phil even put his job on the line for you yesterday.
10:11But we still haven't got a hope, have we?
10:13Well, the kidnap allegation is not looking good.
10:17But there's a chance with the rape.
10:20If we could show that Abby was incapable of giving consent to sex
10:23by proving she's mentally unstable.
10:25Oh.
10:25If you don't want a psychiatrist brought in, I completely understand.
10:30Well, she was mentally unstable.
10:31Hugh as good as brainwashed her.
10:34It could be tough on Abby, though.
10:35I mean, especially with her being pregnant.
10:38I know.
10:39I know.
10:40Well, let's leave that as a last resort.
10:43And do all we can to find another way.
10:47He won't win this.
10:48I won't let him win this.
11:09Perry's been less than candid with us.
11:11Really?
11:12The warden said the argument started out here
11:15and that Perry knew the other person involved.
11:17An Asian lad, apparently.
11:19What were they arguing about?
11:20The warden doesn't know.
11:21They took the row into the toilets
11:23and he went off on his lunch break.
11:25Was it definitely Perry?
11:26The time of the assault and description will fit.
11:29Apparently, Perry and the other boy hang around here a lot.
11:32Usually on more friendly terms.
11:34Oh, we're talking love with Tiff.
11:36Whatever.
11:37Certainly isn't the yarn he's been spinning.
11:38How is she?
11:43She's bearing up, but you look really tired.
11:45You should go on and get some rest.
11:46No, I'm fine.
11:49Tell me honestly, OK?
11:52Is Abby fit enough to pursue this?
11:55She certainly wants to.
12:00Ask her about a psychological assessment.
12:04You sure?
12:06Yeah.
12:07I mean, I'll have to clear it with the DCA,
12:09but absolutely sure.
12:12If Abby agrees, do it.
12:16OK.
12:21I told them other cops.
12:23I don't know who it was.
12:26They grabbed me from behind.
12:28Perry, do you know an Asian lad
12:32who hangs around Bevan Park?
12:34No.
12:37We believe you were seen having an argument with him
12:40shortly before you were assaulted.
12:42Please, my mum's going to be here soon.
12:44She'll be here any minute.
12:46We understand how awkward this is for you, mate,
12:48but we need your help.
12:50We have to know if this is a private incident
12:52or whether some nut is on the loose.
12:57Did your friend do this to you?
12:58Why?
13:13I thought we were an item.
13:16He was just using me.
13:19How long have you known him?
13:22About a month.
13:23What do you mean?
13:29At the park.
13:32I knew gay blokes hung around there.
13:37I was curious.
13:41Ravi chatted me up
13:42and we got it together.
13:48What went wrong?
13:54Perry, if Ravi did this to you,
13:57he's a nasty piece of work.
13:59Don't let him get away with it.
14:03What were you arguing about?
14:05Ravi took me to this party the other night
14:15at this smart flat
14:19on the other side of the park.
14:23He was giving me booze and pills and stuff.
14:27What happened?
14:27He, um...
14:34He wanted me to have sex
14:37with some other blokes.
14:41Old guys.
14:43Disgusting.
14:45What did you do?
14:47I bolted it.
14:50And when I met up with Ravi today,
14:53I told him I didn't want none of it.
14:55What did he say?
14:56He said I'd get used to it.
15:02I don't want to get used to it.
15:07I just want him.
15:13Hugh has now been interviewed
15:14about your allegations.
15:19Did, um...
15:21Did he ask about me?
15:24He expressed his concern, I believe.
15:26The bad side's not his fault, really.
15:32He's had quite a lonely life, you know?
15:35I can't believe she's defending him.
15:38Abi, are you absolutely sure
15:39you're prepared to go through with this?
15:41Mum said he deliberately set out
15:42to destroy our lives.
15:44I know this is hard,
15:45but what I'd like you to do
15:46is focus on what you want.
15:48I can't.
15:49I can't.
15:51I've hurt Mum so much.
15:54Your mother wants what's best for you.
15:56I promise you.
15:59I want him to go on trial and to be sorry.
16:02It's going to be very hard to prosecute you
16:04without any evidence.
16:06I mean, it may help
16:07if we could show in some way
16:09that you were mentally fragile
16:11while you were in the relationship.
16:14How?
16:14You'll have to be assessed by psychiatrists,
16:17and it could be quite an ordeal.
16:19Lots of difficult, possibly painful questions.
16:22Now, are you prepared
16:23to do that, Hally?
16:24I guess.
16:29She doesn't know what she wants.
16:34It's no good, is it?
16:37She's suffered enough.
16:38So have you.
16:54All right?
16:59Let's go home, sweetheart.
17:01I can't.
17:03I've got to see a shrink.
17:05It's too much for you, Abby.
17:08But you want to get Hugh.
17:09You want a result.
17:13What I want is for you to be well.
17:17You and the baby.
17:22Come on.
17:24Thanks, Romani.
17:35Apartment 64 is owned by Julian Hargreaves.
17:37Right.
17:38About once a month,
17:39there's a stream of blokes
17:40coming in and out of there.
17:41I heard the same.
17:42The neighbours have made a few complaints
17:44about parties,
17:44but we didn't take any further action.
17:46Maybe we should set up an oboe.
17:48I doubt the DI's generosity
17:50will stretch that far.
17:51I'll work on him.
17:53You do seem to have a way
17:54with Mr. Manson.
17:55Comes with years of practice, that.
17:57Oh, yeah.
17:58Not like that.
18:00He was my governor
18:01back in Stafford Row.
18:04And?
18:06And nothing.
18:07Rather you than me.
18:09He's got far a chance
18:10for blood, that one.
18:13I'm not giving up,
18:14even if Sam is.
18:15Well, we'll have to find
18:16something quickly.
18:17We can't hold Hugh much longer
18:18without any charge.
18:19Mr. Sam said Hugh
18:20let himself in here yesterday.
18:22But no key was found.
18:23Yeah, but he knew
18:23Baxter's routine inside out.
18:24He must have been
18:25watching him from somewhere.
18:27Look, excuse me, love.
18:27We're investigating
18:28a suspected burglary
18:29here yesterday afternoon.
18:30Oh, Mr. Baxter's.
18:31I thought he was inside.
18:33Did he see anything?
18:34No, I was at the laundrette.
18:36Have you seen anybody
18:36hanging around here lately
18:37watching this house?
18:38Oh, nobody dodgy.
18:39I would have rung you not.
18:40What about a tall,
18:41white, balding man?
18:42Professional looking,
18:43about 50.
18:44Sounds like the bloke
18:45that rented the flat,
18:46number nine.
18:47Living here?
18:48Are you sure?
18:49I ain't seen him for weeks.
18:51Thanks, love.
18:52Right, get to bring
18:53Hugh's case down now.
19:05Heath, it's a description
19:06of Ravi's shell.
19:07Let's pull him.
19:15Excuse me, sir.
19:16Mind if we have a word?
19:25Oi!
19:27Oi!
19:32Do you see Master's on Hill?
19:33We just want a little chat.
19:37OK?
19:39Come on, mate.
19:41Use that,
19:41you really will be in trouble.
19:42I'm breaking it, man.
19:43Get in there!
19:45Come on, sir.
19:45Come on, Robbie!
19:50Try this one.
19:53Oh, God.
19:54Must have to keep
19:54every lock-in candy, then.
19:56Yeah, well, he's got
19:56lots of wine.
19:57Yeah, bingo.
19:57Bingo.
19:57Bingo.
19:58Well, at least the key
20:17proves that Hugh
20:18was watching Baxter.
20:19Gov!
20:20We'd better get this place
20:21sealed off.
20:22Power, Sammy.
20:22Right, well, you'd better
20:26get searching.
20:28Here you are.
20:29Tip it out of this.
20:41Hey, look.
20:43This junk now's got
20:44Baxter's name on it.
20:45This must be his rubbish.
20:47So what's Hugh doing
20:47with Baxter's stuff?
20:49There was a bottle
20:49with Baxter's DNA
20:50found at the container.
20:52He must have stolen it
20:53from the rubbish
20:53and planted it there.
20:57Look at this.
20:58We've got a SIM card.
21:00Are you going to regret this?
21:01Oh, keep quiet.
21:02I don't know
21:03what you're dealing with.
21:04Let me guess.
21:04Another nice,
21:05wheelie thug.
21:06I've got people
21:06on my side, yeah?
21:07I'm going to tire up
21:08the chain,
21:08the new, sweetheart.
21:09Oi, come on,
21:09that's enough.
21:10Top cop.
21:11Can't get enough of me.
21:12In my pocket is...
21:13Oh, yeah?
21:14Huh?
21:15What rank?
21:16Piece of blood?
21:16He's got his own office
21:17down Scotland Yard.
21:19That rattle your knickers,
21:20does it?
21:20Get in!
21:23So what numbers
21:24have you got on the phone?
21:25It's just two numbers.
21:26Sam's mobile number
21:27and, well,
21:28it doesn't look
21:28like a phone number to me.
21:30That doesn't mean
21:31anything to me.
21:32It could be
21:33some sort of code.
21:34Well, Hugh's obviously
21:35keeping it safe
21:36for some reason.
21:37Could well be
21:37another map reference.
21:38Yeah, it looks close
21:39to the number
21:40that led us
21:40to the container yard.
21:41This could be a clue
21:42to another location.
21:43Well, Hugh wasn't
21:44expecting us
21:44to find the flat,
21:45let alone the sim card.
21:46Okay, try this.
21:47Look.
21:48Longitude,
21:4951 degrees,
21:5132 minutes,
21:52zero north.
21:53Mm-hmm.
21:55Latitude,
21:56zero degrees,
21:57three minutes,
21:57zero west.
21:59So what's there?
22:00It's a brownfield site
22:01next to the river.
22:03I thought we'd leave there.
22:05Nothing, Gov.
22:07Hugh would not
22:08use the same method twice.
22:09He'd see that as lazy.
22:10Well, the numbers
22:11must be a reference
22:12to something.
22:14Let me talk to Hugh.
22:15Shouldn't you be
22:16at home with Abby?
22:17She's fine.
22:18She's with Romani.
22:19And I need to do this.
22:22Okay.
22:26For the tape,
22:27I'm showing Dr. Wallace
22:28a set of keys.
22:30Do you recognize
22:31those keys?
22:33You already know them,
22:34Mike.
22:36Can you explain
22:37why they can turn
22:37a front door key
22:38to a flat in Rottal News?
22:43No comment.
22:45The flat is across
22:46the road from
22:46Peter Baxter's.
22:48Can you explain that?
22:51No comment.
22:52A SIM card
22:53containing the number
22:54513200300
22:57was recovered from there.
23:00So what do
23:00these numbers mean?
23:03I've no idea.
23:05Give it up, Hugh.
23:07We all know
23:09what this is about.
23:10Do we?
23:12Jealousy.
23:15That's rich.
23:17You may have thought
23:19you wanted me
23:19all this time,
23:21but actually
23:21you really can't
23:22stand me, can you?
23:24And even though
23:25you were my mentor,
23:27you can't bear the fact
23:28that I actually
23:29finished a book.
23:32I believe it's
23:33the content
23:34that matters.
23:36Content.
23:36You mean a book
23:39based on
23:39investigating a serial
23:41killer isn't
23:42academic enough?
23:44Depends on the
23:45means of research.
23:47This is research
23:48to you, isn't it?
23:50And I'm your base
23:51material.
23:54You'd be vain
23:55enough to think so.
23:56You wouldn't go
23:57to all this trouble
23:58without keeping
23:59some sort of record,
24:01some sort of testimony.
24:02If you're so sure,
24:09prove it.
24:12It stinks in here.
24:14I can't breathe!
24:16I mean it!
24:17Get me out of here!
24:19You're listening,
24:19I can't breathe!
24:21Listen!
24:22The duty solicitor
24:23is on his way.
24:24He'll be interviewed
24:24as soon as he arrives.
24:25You wait till I tell
24:26my bloke!
24:29Still don't believe
24:30me, do you?
24:31Does it matter
24:31either way?
24:32He's top-notch.
24:34Whatever.
24:36His name's
24:36Roy Pearson.
24:38Doesn't mean
24:39anything to you.
24:39Susie,
24:47the brief's arrived.
24:49Oh, good.
24:50Something up?
24:54Yeah.
24:56You know the bloke
24:56Ravi keeps banging
24:57on about?
24:58Don't tell me
24:59he exists.
25:01Very much so.
25:04The deputy assistant
25:06commissioner
25:07Roy Pearson.
25:09D.I. Manson's
25:12father-in-law.
25:27Yeah, I hit Perry.
25:28But he came at me first.
25:30I was defending myself.
25:31What was the fight about?
25:33Perry's got a thing
25:34about me.
25:35I'm spoken for, right?
25:37What happened?
25:38Perry wouldn't take
25:39no for an answer.
25:40I told him straight.
25:42He lost it.
25:43You assaulted him
25:43pretty badly.
25:44I can take care of myself.
25:46Because you're gay
25:47or because you're a rent boy?
25:49I ain't neither.
25:50I'll do what I have to do.
25:52We understand that
25:53the owner of apartment
25:5464 in Calico Street
25:56holds parties involving
25:57the prostitution
25:58of underage boys.
25:59I thought we were
26:00here about the blade.
26:01You'll be charged
26:01with possession.
26:03Lucky for you,
26:05Perry doesn't want
26:05to pursue the assault.
26:07It's a sensible move.
26:09Are you willing
26:10to help us
26:11with other inquiries?
26:16Nope.
26:17Okay, Mr. Shah.
26:19You'll be appearing
26:20at Canley Magistrates
26:21tomorrow morning.
26:23However,
26:24as you claim
26:25to have no fixed address,
26:27I'll be recommending
26:28it to the custody sergeant
26:29that you spend
26:29the night here.
26:30You're winding me up.
26:33Nope.
26:36Hugh's left a record
26:37of this somewhere.
26:39I know he has.
26:41But is there a link
26:41to these numbers?
26:43Could be some kind
26:44of book reference.
26:45Okay, what about Shakespeare?
26:46Hugh left the players
26:47a clue before, right?
26:49Well, what's that
26:49got to do with the numbers?
26:50Well, players have got
26:51scene and line numbers,
26:52haven't they?
26:53I think it's a reference
26:55for Hugh.
26:56Maybe a reminder
26:57as to where he's
26:58left the record.
26:58Sounds like a long shot
27:00to me.
27:02Right.
27:05Okay.
27:07My home.
27:10Hugh's home.
27:12Baxter's flat.
27:14And the container yard.
27:16So what are you doing?
27:17Hugh's a geographical profiler.
27:19There might be a link
27:20with these locations.
27:21Right, Cheetham Road.
27:22What's in that area?
27:24There's a swimming pool
27:24halfway down.
27:26Okay, a locker number.
27:27No, the number's too long.
27:28On the corner of
27:30Tarmar Street,
27:31there's a Royal Essex bank.
27:32Security deposit number.
27:36Let's get the DI
27:37to agree to a search.
27:39You're joking, right?
27:40Why not?
27:40Until we get evidence,
27:41we don't need to mention
27:42the Roy Pearson link.
27:45I can't do that.
27:46Well, what would you rather do?
27:48Drop the inquiry?
27:48Susie, what is it with you
27:54and the DI?
27:57Hey, I don't break confidences.
28:01It's nothing.
28:03Well, it obviously is something.
28:06I owe him, all right?
28:10Susie!
28:10How?
28:11Back at Stafford Row,
28:17the rest of the team were guys.
28:20I had to work twice as hard
28:21to cut it.
28:23A couple of cases
28:24were going wrong
28:25and he sorted it for me.
28:27That was his job.
28:31Look, Joe,
28:32it's more than likely
28:33that his father-in-law
28:34is using rent boys.
28:35I owe Neil honesty
28:38if nothing else.
28:40All right.
28:40How about taking it
28:41to the DCI?
28:43Hmm?
28:43Giving him the headache.
28:48Gov,
28:48we got him.
28:49So what have you found?
28:51Well, we were right.
28:51The number was
28:52for a deposit box.
28:53Inside that box,
28:54there was a manuscript
28:55detailing every event
28:56from the framing of Baxter
28:57to seducing Abby.
28:59I'll let Sam know.
29:00Good work, Phil.
29:01Thanks, Gov.
29:01Sam?
29:07What is it?
29:08What did they find?
29:09A manuscript
29:09recording everything
29:11that Hugh has done
29:11to you and Abby.
29:14So,
29:14you've got the pleasure
29:15of informing him.
29:17There is no pleasure, Gov.
29:19Too many pieces
29:20to pick up.
29:26Honey,
29:27have you been all right?
29:29Yeah,
29:29I'm just a bit tired
29:30to be honest.
29:31The family liaison
29:32taken out of you?
29:32No,
29:33I'm not on the case anymore.
29:34Karen Burnett's body's
29:35been found.
29:36Yeah,
29:36I know.
29:36It was there.
29:37Looks like she was
29:37hit over the head
29:38with a wheel brace.
29:39Yeah.
29:40Things got a bit weird
29:41with Mr. Burnett.
29:43It was all really emotional.
29:44Yeah,
29:44it would be.
29:47We kind of kissed.
29:51See,
29:51I didn't know
29:51what to do.
29:52It just happened.
29:53Honey,
29:53we've only just
29:54started going out.
29:55I know.
29:55I'm sorry.
29:56I'm sorry.
30:01For all we know,
30:02Ravishar's
30:03Payless Alarm.
30:04Well,
30:05he didn't pluck
30:05Roy Pearson's name
30:06out of thin air.
30:07No.
30:07Do you know
30:08the DAC, Gov?
30:11There's some truth
30:11in it,
30:12isn't there?
30:13I've heard rumours.
30:15So,
30:15what grounds
30:15have you got
30:16for a search?
30:17Crimin reports
30:18of young boys
30:18involved in
30:19disturbances
30:19at the address
30:20and Perry Maddox's
30:22statement about
30:22a recent party.
30:24Horn,
30:24booze
30:25and wall-to-wall drugs.
30:26Right,
30:27get a warrant.
30:32What,
30:32is that it?
30:33It's over.
30:35Steve.
30:36How could you
30:37kiss a bloke
30:38whose wife's
30:38just been murdered?
30:39It wasn't like that.
30:40It was really intense.
30:41Part of the work
30:42is getting close.
30:43Not that close.
30:44Look,
30:44the lines got blurred.
30:46Yes,
30:46I was meant
30:47to be supporting Scott,
30:48but he also
30:49had to win his trust
30:49to get information.
30:50I've messed up
30:53as usual.
30:54I so badly
30:55want me to be
30:56good at this.
30:58You're trying
30:58too hard,
30:59probably.
31:01It won't happen
31:01again,
31:02I promise.
31:03Now on,
31:04I will be
31:04the consummate
31:05professional.
31:07Your problem
31:07is you're
31:08just too nice.
31:09And you're
31:10the most
31:10understanding
31:10fella a girl
31:11could have.
31:11Hurry up,
31:12everyone.
31:13All right.
31:16This is our target.
31:17Number 64
31:18Calico Street.
31:20This manuscript
31:23detailing all
31:25your actions
31:26was recovered
31:28at Royal Essex Bank.
31:30Do you recognize it?
31:35For the benefit
31:36of the tape,
31:36Dr. Wallace
31:37did not reply.
31:39Dr. Wallace,
31:40you will be charged
31:41with the kidnapping
31:42and rape
31:43of Abigail Nixon.
31:44you chose the wrong
31:45subject to study
31:46this time.
31:49I wouldn't say
31:50that.
31:53You may have
31:54had the thrill
31:54of seeing me
31:55half destroyed,
31:57but you'll pay
31:57a heavy price.
32:00Abby's child
32:00will always be mine.
32:02You'll never see it.
32:05Don't tell me
32:05you're now up
32:06for playing granny.
32:08You could hardly
32:08cut it as a mother.
32:10Abby and I
32:11have never been closer.
32:12Thanks to me.
32:13Right,
32:13that's enough.
32:19Abby will come
32:20back to me.
32:22No court in the land
32:23will let you
32:24anywhere near.
32:25You're out of
32:28our lives
32:28for good.
32:30I'll make
32:31damn sure
32:32of that.
32:43What's all this?
32:44Uh,
32:44briefing for the
32:45search,
32:45gov.
32:46What search?
32:47It's cleared
32:47with the DCI.
32:48Said you were tied
32:49up with MIT.
32:50Honey,
32:51change of plan.
32:53Scott Burnett
32:54wants you back
32:55as his family
32:55liaison officer.
32:57But I'm on this
32:57search now.
32:58Well,
32:58this is a priority.
33:00Karen's lover,
33:00Greg Campbell,
33:01has been charged
33:02with her murder.
33:02MIT want you
33:03to inform Scott.
33:05Greg?
33:06Scott's best friend.
33:07Well,
33:07anyway,
33:08MIT are going
33:08to be watching
33:09you like a hawk,
33:09so don't let us
33:10down,
33:11eh?
33:19Honey,
33:19where are you
33:21going?
33:22The DI's put me
33:23back on the
33:23FLO job.
33:25Great.
33:25I know,
33:26but I have to
33:27tell Scott Burnett
33:28that a man's
33:28being charged.
33:30What?
33:30Steve,
33:31I have to.
33:32It's my job.
33:33Yeah,
33:34I know it is,
33:34but...
33:34Maybe it's a good
33:35thing.
33:36It'll give me a
33:36chance to do it
33:37differently this time.
33:38Everything's right.
33:40Well,
33:41the man does
33:41need your sport,
33:42I guess.
33:42Just know
33:43kissing him
33:43to make him
33:44feel better,
33:44all right?
33:44OK.
33:44OK.
33:45OK.
33:45Tune in,
33:56Hargreaves.
33:57This is the
33:58police.
33:59Open the door.
34:01DC Simms,
34:01Sunhill.
34:02I have a warrant
34:02to search these
34:03premises.
34:12What on earth's
34:13going on here?
34:14Everything you
34:15need to know
34:15is in here,
34:16sir.
34:26Honey.
34:28I'm so relieved
34:29you came.
34:30Come in.
34:33Go right through.
34:35How are you?
34:37Oh,
34:38great.
34:39It still hasn't
34:40sunk in,
34:40really.
34:40Firstly,
34:44Scott,
34:44I'd like to
34:45apologise for
34:45my actions
34:46yesterday.
34:48Actions?
34:48It was
34:48completely
34:49unprofessional
34:50and I can
34:50assure you
34:51totally out
34:51of character.
34:53Harley,
34:53if you're
34:53talking about
34:54the kiss,
34:55that's my
34:56fault.
35:00That's why
35:00I wanted you
35:01to come back.
35:02you're
35:06feeling
35:06terrible.
35:08Don't be
35:09silly.
35:10You're
35:10in mourning.
35:11I'm the
35:12one who
35:12should have
35:12had more
35:13self-restraint.
35:15I've got
35:21something
35:21really
35:21difficult
35:22to tell
35:22you.
35:25Greg
35:25Campbell's
35:25been
35:26charged
35:26with
35:26Karen's
35:26murder.
35:33We'll need
35:34to check
35:34under the
35:35floorboards.
35:35These
35:36floors are
35:36solid.
35:37Any
35:38other storage
35:38space?
35:39No.
35:40My
35:40dreams
35:40in the
35:40bathroom
35:41to me.
35:41If I
35:42knew what
35:42you were
35:42looking for,
35:43perhaps I
35:43could help.
35:44All right.
35:45We believe
35:46you're
35:46holding
35:46parties
35:47involving
35:47drugs,
35:48indecent
35:48photographs
35:49and the
35:49prostitution
35:50of
35:50underage
35:50boys.
35:52Nonsense.
35:53We'll
35:53also need
35:53your PC
35:54or laptop
35:54and your
35:55mobile phone.
35:56I don't
35:56have a
35:56laptop and
35:58my mobile's
35:58broken.
35:59Nice bit of
36:00spring cleaning,
36:00Mr. Hargraves.
36:02I'm in the faintest
36:02idea what you mean.
36:03We'll just have
36:04to check today's
36:05CCTV.
36:12Scott,
36:12are you sure
36:12this is the
36:13right time to
36:13be doing this?
36:14Yeah.
36:15Karen stopped
36:16being my wife
36:16the moment she
36:17slept with that.
36:17These are still
36:18your memories.
36:23Who's that?
36:25I'm Greg's
36:25ex.
36:26I split up
36:26last year.
36:29Greg always
36:29wanted what I
36:30had.
36:30Same house,
36:31same car,
36:33same wife.
36:37I just,
36:38I don't
36:40get it.
36:42Why did Karen
36:43ever see
36:44in him?
36:48Greg told MIT
36:49that Karen had
36:50ended the affair
36:50that night,
36:51so she chose
36:52to be with you.
36:53If she'd have
36:53come back here
