01:32and 71% say medical expenses have skyrocketed.
01:35Even among those with insurance, 36% have reduced their doctor visits due to high out-of-pocket spending.
01:41For poorer families, the challenge is even greater.
01:44Limited awareness, high costs and poor access keep millions uninsured.
01:47On top of that, India's public healthcare system is stretched thin,
01:51with just 1.3 government hospital beds per thousand people.
01:54With initiatives like Aishman Bharat, India is working to make healthcare more affordable and equitable,
01:59including increasing hospital bed availability to 3 per thousand, the global standard.
