00:20I have also approved the provision of a tiered medical allowance for GOCC employees,
00:35depending on the capacity, of course, of the GOCC.
00:44Further, for GOCCs that implemented CPCS-1,
00:49the increases will retroact to 1 January 2025
00:54upon receipt of their authority to implement from the GCG.
01:00So as we celebrate these milestones,
01:03let us also recognize that there is much work still left to be done.
01:08My challenge to our GOCCs is to invest in modern technology,
01:12simplify our processes,
01:14and cut down on red tape so that every Filipino enjoys easy,
01:19fair, and dignified access to the services that they deserve.
01:24For the rest of the bureaucracy,
01:26our job is to ensure that the dividends of our GOCCs
01:29will redound to better services.
01:32We need to spend these funds with utmost transparency and accountability.
01:37Public trust is our most valuable currency.
01:42Once lost, rebuilding it becomes far more difficult.
01:47These funds should promote genuine reforms
01:49that uplift the quality of life,
01:52reach the vulnerable,
01:54and leave a lasting contribution for the generations to come.
