02:52Yeah, good matchup stylistically.

02:54You know, with all your experience in the ring and being a long-term analyst,

02:59when you size up a matchup like this, both the body types, the skill,

03:04the styles of the competitors as technicians, what does your eye go to right away?

03:08I mean, technically speaking, these are two of the most well-rounded superstars on the roster,

03:12male or female.

03:13Both have incredible backgrounds in multiple martial arts.

03:16They both essentially grown up in the wrestling business.

03:19And here they are at the pinnacle, ready to collide with essentially a mirror image of one another.

03:24This is a very, very exciting matchup.

03:26You know, I'm glad you bring up the subject of you grow up in the business,

03:29because you can see it with them.

03:31The skill, the fluidity, how everything is in sync and in motion.

03:36You get those 10,000 hours, those Gladwellian 10,000 hours, and it shows, doesn't it?

03:41Absolutely.

03:47Lyra Valkyria seems to be favoring her lower back, Joe, in the moments prior to this matchup.

03:52You've got to be curious if that's going to be a factor.

03:57You're going to be a factor.

04:14And we're opponent, accompanied by Raquel Rodriguez from the Rato, Texas,

04:23representing the Judgment Day, Roxanne Perez.

04:31Of course, she didn't waste any time once she was in the Judgment Day.

04:36BNM at top tier in the pressure cooker right to the Women's Tag Team Championship title defenses

04:42before losing the titles at SummerSlam back in early August.

04:46If you ask Roxanne Perez, she's exactly where she's meant to be.

04:49Steadily rising up the ranks of WWE.

04:53No doubt in my mind, a lot of gold in the future of Roxanne Perez.

04:57And the same has to be said for Raquel Rodriguez, who's had glimpses of greatness.

05:01She's had some great success in the Women's Tag Team Division.

05:04These are two very, very dangerous women who may become the foundation of the Women's

05:08Division as time goes on.

05:49Now there is the prodigy, Roxanne Perez.

05:52And of course, she was ringside a week ago right here on Raw, when Raquel Rodriguez defeated

05:58Lyra Valkyria.

05:59Lyra Valkyria fought valiantly and overcame momentarily the interference of Perez.

06:04But when you're dealing with the Judgment Day, you have to prepare for the entirety of the

06:09group.

06:10Valkyria would do her best to remove Rox from the equation.

06:14But as Lyra made the climb toward the top, the powerhouse of the Judgment Day, Rox, I'm

06:19sorry, Raquel Rodriguez delivered a Tejana bomb that nearly put Lyra through the center of

06:25the ring.

06:26So that was a week ago when we were in Milwaukee, now here in Springfield, Mass, as she goes

06:35up against Roxanne.

06:37Corey, prior to what we saw there at the conclusion of that match there in Milwaukee, there was

06:43a consistent and steady beating to the lower back of Lyra Valkyria.

06:48And we've noticed from the time Lyra made her entry, she's favoring her lower back, definitely

06:53still feeling the effects of the entire beatdown throughout the duration of the matchup, particularly

06:58the Tejana bomb that served as the exclamation point for Rodriguez.

07:02And look at this, two world-class grapplers, collar and elbow tie-up, pinning one another.

07:07Fantastic technical expertise on display in the early moments.

07:10That was the first thing you said to me when we talked about this matchup here and getting

07:13ready for Monday Night Raw.

07:15What a technical matchup this is, as you see the young forces right against the face, showing

07:22disrespect is Roxanne.

07:24But the back situation a week ago when she was strong, slams her down to the mat.

07:29It's not just that she has to watch out defensively and worry about her in the back, but the limitations

07:34it can have to your own offense, Corey.

07:36Absolutely.

07:36Anytime you suffer damage to your jaw, or whether it be your rib cage or your lower back, it's

07:40going to affect your offensive delivery as well.

07:43Your ability to strike, your ability to absorb punishment.

07:46Oh, pinning combination from Roxanne.

07:47Tremendous technical ability from the prodigy, who has earned the nickname.

07:55Nope, we were just talking about it, and you did see a moment ago as Lyra was reaching

07:58for her back.

08:01Baseball slide, and now the roll-up and a pinning combination and an arching bridge from Lyra.

08:08A little game of showmanship between both of these women, flexing their abilities, but that

08:13might have been to the detriment of Valkyria.

08:15Her lower back, only two minutes in or so, already looks to be a factor in a great decision

08:21by Roxanne to just bury a knee to the body.

08:23Remember what is coming your way.

08:26CM Punk and AJ Lee will be face-to-face with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch as we get ready

08:33for that mixed tag team matchup at Wrestlepalooza.

08:36Kick right to the small of Valkyria's back.

08:40Now it's becoming a target, isn't it?

08:41Absolutely, and you had to expect that when you're dealing with someone like Roxanne

08:45Perez, a student of the game, someone who studies her opponents night after night, but

08:50great leg sweeper in Valkyria, and a drop kick on the money.

08:53But there's a good example in the cross body, even before that as she hooks the leg, look

08:57at the putter in the way, she's wincing and reaching for her back in the midst of an offensive

09:02series of attacks.

09:03And when you're a competitor like Lyra Valkyria, who likes to rely on her speed advantage,

09:08an injury to the lower back, neutralize that, and Raquel.

09:11She got caught red-handed.

09:13Raquel Rodriguez just tripped her up, and she's out of here.

09:17Raquel is injected.

09:19She tripped her up when she was running the ropes right there.

09:22Meanwhile, a roll-up in the ring.

09:24Roxanne's got a roll-up, but the referee was distracted.

09:27And it's just a count of two.

09:30The distraction of Rodriguez may have backfired in that instance.

09:35Perez executed the roll-up.

09:36Jessica Carr was still busy paying attention to Raquel.

09:40Raquel Rodriguez thought she was helping out Roxanne Perez.

09:44She actually cost her right there.

09:46Here comes Lyra.

09:48Oh, Lyra!

09:49Two boots right to the face of the prodigy.

09:55And Valkyria fighting through the pain, looking to maintain her advantage.

10:00That force and velocity.

10:01Look at her even trying to take that step up back to the apron, wincing in pain.

10:06And now up top.

10:10Can she deliver here?

10:12Oh, tripped up!

10:13Oh, the back of her head!

10:13Oh, my God!

10:15And her lower back.

10:17Both the back of her head and her lower back.

10:19Coming down hard, and Roxanne jumps right on top of her.

10:22Things just went from bad to worse for Valkyria.

10:47All of that momentum coming off the top rope when you're not expecting it, Corey.

10:53Roxanne ripping up Lyra Valkyria, and it has turned this match greatly in favor of Perez.

10:58It's a testament to the skill level of Roxanne Perez, who is now targeting the back specifically.

11:04This is an agonizing situation for Valkyria, but one tiny opening is all you need to give

11:10Roxanne, and she will capitalize.

11:14Hooks the leg.

11:15Oh, and reaching out for that rope is Lyra.

11:19Now, this is going to allow Roxanne to settle into a bit of a slower pace, utilize her technical

11:24abilities, and pick apart the lower back of an injured Lyra Valkyria.

11:28It's always impressive to me how calm in the heat of battle Roxanne Perez has the ability

11:43to remain, particularly for such a young superstar.

11:46There's still so much for her to accomplish in this game, but she's already accomplished

11:50so much for such a young age.

11:51And does that speak to what you said earlier about when you gain that much experience as

11:57a teenager, training at this level?

12:00Again, I mean, time and again, just putting a bullseye on that back.

12:04Absolutely.

12:05I mean, you can take it all the way back to her days training under Hall of Famer Booker

12:09T.

12:09And Booker T is one of the best teachers in the game, and Roxanne is his star pupil.

12:13He will tell you that proudly.

12:14Look at this.

12:15Double jump.

12:15Moonsault across the back of Lyra.

12:18Lands it well, and look at that smile as she hooks the leg and goes into the cover, but

12:22able to kick out and get that left shoulder up is Lyra.

12:26And a smile like that from your opponent can really dishearten a competitor.

12:31If you're Lyra Valkyria and you look up and see Roxanne grinning from ear to ear like

12:35a Cheshire cat, it can do more internal damage, more psychological damage than any sort of offense.

12:41Roxy! Roxy! Roxy! Roxy!

12:45Perez trying to muscle up Valkyria.

12:47And she muscled her up from that position.

12:49Boom!

12:50It's Valkyria who counters in the backdrop, and she has a moment of opportunity.

12:57You can see the agony on the face of Lyra Valkyria doing her best to valiantly fight through

13:04the pain to stay in this contest.

13:08This may be the opening Lyra was looking for.
