How do you feel about the raise the flags movement which has seen national flags raised lampposts across the country.
Transcript
00:01Well, in my opinion, the situation with the flags being raised, no problem with it at all.
00:06And to be honest, I think we should be more patriotic and more proud of being British.
00:12And I've got no real problem with it. If you go to other countries, if you go to France, go to America,
00:17flags everywhere, so why not in this country? Why not show our British pride?
00:22Well, Alcan St George became the patron saint of England when he was born in Turkey
00:27and was raised in Palestine, so that doesn't even make sense off the bat.
00:30But I don't understand how a flag's going to change anything. I don't know if people think it's patriotism.
00:35I've got one on my own house.
00:37There'll always be a minority, but I think, in general, it's the majority who are just saying, you know,
00:44well, I'm proud to be British. And I think it is sort of having a rolling on effect, actually,
00:50with the marches which we had at the weekend in London.
00:53You've got more in common with the person coming here than you do with the 1%ers making the decisions.
00:58All of us.
