Oura CEO’s favorite interview question: Which office product are you?

Oura CEO Tom Hale shared his favorite interview question for job candidates at Fortune Brainstorm Tech.

00:00I have a couple questions that I love and I'll just share them with you.

00:03So question number one is, if you had to be one of the four Office products,

00:06Microsoft Word or Google Docs, Sheets or Excel, PowerPoint or Slides or Email,

00:15Calendar, which is I think Google Office or Outlook, which one are you?

00:20And the thing is, the answers that you get all the time are crazy

00:22because people don't know how to answer.

00:24They're like, well, which one?

00:25How do you mean?

00:25And what you find out is like, what's the white light at the center of their soul?

00:28Are they really like more into making long documents by themselves?

00:31Or are they like, let's get out there and do a PowerPoint presentation?

00:34It can tell you a lot about someone.

00:35So the way I ask that question is really designed to give someone a platform

00:39to talk about themselves and to be authentic about who they are.
