00:00A 1.5-metre crocodile gave villagers in Payalubo, Tanga Batu, quite a fright when it appeared along
00:08Sungai Payalubo's banks. Pantai Kundor representative Datuk Tumina Kadi said the reptile may have
00:15strayed due to flash floods and high tides, adding that the sighting is worrying as the
00:20river is a common spot for children and villagers. She said she had alerted the Melaka Department of
00:26Wildlife and National Parks to trap the crocodile after firemen first monitored the area. The
00:32reptile was sighted again on Monday and Perhilitan's team will continue monitoring and attempt to
00:37capture it as the river is not a natural crocodile habitat.
