00:00there was a time when Cadillac meant one thing your grandfather's car comfortable stately a
00:14symbol of old-school luxury it was a brand defined by its past but that's not the Cadillac of today
00:20not anymore this is the 2026 Cadillac Vistick and it's proof that Cadillac is not just reinventing
00:30itself but electrifying its future Cadillac is charging pretty hard into the v-space you have
00:38the compact optic the stylish Lyric and the massive Escalade IQ not to forget the uber luxurious stunning
00:44elastic sedan the Vistick it's kind of a baby Escalade a three-row SUV that sits right in
00:51the sweet spot the perfect mix of styling and luxury but let's have a closer look

02:27and here we go we are back in Vancouver um we had the Cadillac Vistick for pretty much a week
02:42and we drove around 1400 kilometers um city driving highway driving all of it so how uh how do I like
02:51it how was the experience um I do like it a lot um the first thing that I like is is the look the
02:57design because it looks like a Cadillac it looks like an SUV and with with that I mean it doesn't
03:03look like many of the um of of those EVs that have a little bit rounded design look a little bit
03:10like spaceship very different so I like that this definitely looks like an SUV and people are not
03:16immediately coming to you and go like oh I see you driving EV um I love the interior it's very spacious
03:23it's uh it's uh it has a third row if you need it you can flip it down tons of room it has a lot of
03:31extra little compartments and pockets here and there you can charge your phone so there's there's
03:36there's lots of room um the materials very very nice to the touch um exactly what do you expect from
03:43a luxury car right so it's all there um technology first thing sound system AKG um I think it is
03:54there are 23 loudspeakers in here including loudspeakers in the headrest and those things make make a huge
04:01difference it really gives you this um this experience of of being at a live concert the music surrounds you
04:09and and that is truly amazing the technology the screen everything is very intuitive um fast moving
04:15through um your little apps here and uh the fact that it has google built-in is a huge plus for me
04:23so used to google maps and you know being able to use google maps um to to plan my my route um to get
04:31recommendations uh where to charge the car is uh is a huge huge plus for me um the hands-free driving
04:38i was nervous i i'm not kidding here um so first day driving up my hands were always around the
04:47steering wheel and i was a little bit nervous so just in case you know that i never had to it it
04:53really worked it switching lanes and did everything just just worked perfectly and just gives you this
05:00ability to um to relax a little bit more enjoy the drive um so coming coming back today after a full
05:07week driving the car i would say 80 of the time hands-free driving was on and uh it just worked
05:14like like a charm i mean again it it you can relax more um with that i mean you still have to keep your
05:21eyes on the road um the car actually or the little camera whatever it it detects when uh when you're
05:27talking to someone or maybe check your your messages on your phone so you can do that it gives you an
05:33alert so keep your eyes on the road but you can still um relax so overall really really great
05:41experience um the one thing i i didn't like and it has nothing to do with cadillac has nothing to do
05:50with the mystic um it has to do with the fact that this is electric and i know it makes no sense but
05:57in a way it makes sense because i don't drive an electric car i do drive electric cars frequently so i i
06:04we get them for the magazine and you know for a day or two they're fully charged you don't have to
06:09charge them you enjoy you drive do the test drive return them so this was the first time where we
06:14actually had to where i had to uh plan a little bit and um figure out where to with the help of
06:20google maps where to charge it and you know we had a long weekend and i was nervous like oh my god
06:25there might be you know lineup and yes there was and um about the chargers you know they're slower
06:31ones they're faster ones and um that was my my my not just my main concern but it's it's the one
06:40thing that really bothered me because you know you want to get to where you want to go as fast as
06:45possible usually you might have an appointment or you might have kids in the car right and you
06:50know they're getting loud they're getting nervous they're getting stressed so if now you have
06:54like in our case 20 30 35 minutes that you have to charge the car and it could be that and that
07:01happened twice um that the charging station is somewhere outside there's no coffee house there's no
07:09mall there's nothing really you can do so it's it's it's pretty boring and so for for that reason
07:16but again i realize um technology um is is fast so in about a year or in two years you know it's most
07:24likely twice three times as fast and i also realize that people who have a a charger at home that for
07:31them it's it's it's it's a whole different experience you you plug it in the evening the next day
07:35it's all fully charged and it's brilliant and if you own an electric car you're used to all of these
07:40things and and i'm planning a road trip and so again it's it's just my experience my first time
07:47experience uh having an electric car as a daily driver for a full week and um however i must say
07:54when when i got my little receipts on you know sent to the phone charging the the car and i i saw the
08:00amount well that was a pleasant surprise so it definitely saves you a lot of money so would i buy
08:07the the cadillac vistic yes i would if i'm in the market for uh if the lyric is a little bit too small
08:15for whatever reason if the the escalate escalate iq is too big too massive this is right in the sweet
08:24spot it's it's a perfect size and uh i should mention the price tag so this is the base model
08:31they call it luxury and it is luxurious but it is the base model um this one has two options uh two
08:38extras the the one is the third row seat the other one is the black paint job so that that's all
08:44and it brings the price tag to a little bit more than 98 000 canadian which also means it's just shy
08:51off the hundred thousand dollars so there's no luxury sales tax on this car and that makes a huge
08:57huge difference and um big thank you to cadillac for for making this happen big congratulations to
09:05cadillac because i mean you guys created something that is very appealing that is very fun to drive
09:11the performance is amazing you know i think it's 3.7 something uh zero to 100 we couldn't test it
09:17with a stopwatch but it is it is darn fast so i i i do believe that so that is there's a lot of fun
09:25involved too and so cadillac is definitely reinventing themselves and there are a lot of cool cars coming
09:32the soleil that the big luxury roadster um i truly hope they build it um 2026 next year they will be part
09:40of formula one which is which is really amazing so congratulations and with all of that um having said
09:46uh uh yes cadillac is no longer your grandfather's car
