00:00More than 100,000 people marched through central London on Saturday in an anti-immigration
00:07protests led by activist Tommy Robinson. Police said Robinson's Unite the Kingdom march were
00:14kept apart from a Stand Up to Racism counter protest nearby, attended by around 5,000.
00:20They need to stop illegal migration into this country. It's tearing us apart. You know,
00:28we've got people here, the veterans, our veterans that fought for us and for our freedom, lying
00:36on the streets with nowhere to go.
00:38I think the current government is a disgrace. It's taking away our liberties and making up
00:47things as they go along. I've never seen a government so disorganized.
00:52Meanwhile, the anti-racism counter-protesters marched towards the other end of Whitehall,
00:58the main route to Parliament.
00:59It's an education. I think we have to welcome everyone. The idea of hate has divided us and
01:08I think the more that we welcome people, the stronger we are as a country.
01:11Well, it's important to march for our freedoms. There's people who have marched before us and,
01:16you know, we want to be able to live in a democratic society.
01:20Some anti-immigration protesters violently attacked police, seriously injuring four officers with
01:26broken teeth, a suspected broken nose, concussion, a prolapsed disc and a head injury.
01:33At least 25 people were arrested. Immigration now tops Britain's political agenda, overtaking
01:39economic concerns as record numbers of asylum seekers arrive and more than 28,000 migrants cross
01:45the channel by small boat this year.
01:52And the question is, how are we going to receive this mission?
01:54It's a common issue.
01:55We've managed to switch off afront situation, a place in pied肉s,
01:57a place in a place in a place.
02:02Our needs to be a part of this mission.
02:05Our needs to be a part of this mission to walk through the corridor.
02:10We've managed to change and support them in a way up to the city.
