00:00Once we landed, it's also just a feeling of like, wow, we're home.
00:04You know, even before you're actually at your house, you're on the planet and that feels like home.
00:19During the summer last year, you know, we were learning more and more how the testing was going
00:24and we're starting to see the writing on the wall that we probably weren't going to get all the answers,
00:28the T's crossed, the I's dotted, to making sure that everybody felt good about us getting back in the spacecraft and coming home.
00:35And as that was coming to play, we knew the next ride to get home would probably not be until, you know, next year, 2025.
00:43The technical side, I didn't have all the details.
00:46We didn't, you know, how could you while you're up there?
00:48So I was just guiding my husband in the right direction so he could be at peace with what was happening.
00:53When we undocked from the space station, you know, there was this, it's just a little bit to process, right?
01:01OK, we've undocked. OK, we have about 17 hours before we land.
01:05And then I was mentioning earlier to some other folks in the middle of the night, the engine started firing.
01:10And it's a different profile than other spacecraft I've been on.
01:13So it lowers the orbit.
01:14So we landed and once we landed, it's also just a feeling of like, wow, we're we're home.
01:20And just seeing everybody when we landed and in particular, my husband came on board and we just sat there.
01:25It was just like, it's good to see you.
01:27You know, I know I owe him a lot of shoveling, a lot of dog walking and things like that, too, since I was gone.
01:34But, you know, that's that's that's marriage.
01:37I think I might turn the next chapter of life and retire from here.
01:43It's hard to say that our word, but we've done our part here.
01:46You know, my whole career was the beginning of the International Space Station, building it, seeing it up and operating it and seeing the fruits of its labor going to the next thing that we'll be doing.
01:57And I feel like it's a it's a good door to close and and move on as this next group of astronauts can do all that.
02:04And it's time to enjoy family and friends and spend a little more time with my mom and my husband.
