00:00Who's actually playing for the 49ers?
00:01I'll give you a hint.
00:02It's not Brock Purdy.
00:03It's going to be Mac Jones this week,
00:04and maybe the extended version of Mac Jones over the next several weeks
00:08as Brock Purdy tries to work out those toe injuries and those shoulder injuries.
00:12A 7.5-point favorite for the 49ers has shrunken down to a minus 3-point favorite
00:18as the road team going up against New Orleans.
00:21I want to buy in on the Saints, but it's hard to understand this.
00:25You did get some competent football out of the Saints,
00:27but it's not just, oh, it's opening day and everybody's ready to play,
00:30and what do we see in week number two?
00:32I really feel like, Joe, I do want to take the Saints.
00:35I just don't know if I want to take the Saints at only getting three now.
00:40Yeah, it's kind of crazy, right?
00:42I mean, the 49ers, we all know have been dealing with injuries for now,
00:46two straight seasons here.
00:48So you lose Kittle, your quarterback is out,
00:50but unlike that last time you had a problem with Brock Purdy,
00:54you brought in a more than competent quarterback in Mack Jones.
00:59And you got to believe, aside from that,
01:01Shanahan is a offensive head coach and one of the better ones in the NFL.
01:07So you're not going to have Brock Purdy, right?
01:10But you're going to have a guy that they can absolutely execute the game plan
01:16with Christian McCaffrey, Brian Robbins Jr.
01:18They still are going to have success against this Saints defense,
01:23which, by the way, give up over five yards of carry
01:26to Cardinals running backs here.
01:29I don't know.
01:29Spencer Radler is going to be under duress with Robert Sala's defense.
01:33The 49ers still have way more talent and way more ways to beat this Saints team
01:38than the Saints have of beating the 49ers.
