00:00Hi, we're Midnight Fuzik.
00:02You're watching GMW Highlights.
00:12It's okay. It's okay.
00:14Fun fact is that I'm afraid of this.
00:17Why are you exposed?
00:19Okay, that's my fun fact. I'm afraid of this.
00:21Yeah, it's okay. I can confirm that.
00:25Next, Daos.
00:26Daos, aksiden kereta banyak kali lah.
00:28Eh, banyak sekali eh.
00:30Eh, aksiden 2 kali lah.
00:32Tapi, mangsa kena langgar.
00:34Ha, mangsa kena langgar.
00:36So, kalau kau tengok kereta dia memang kamek lah.
00:38Kamek habis lah.
00:40Kita tank lah.
00:42Tapi dah ketuk, okay lah.
00:44Adrian, dah banyak kali tukar color rambut lah.
00:46Color kereta ke lah.
00:48Color kereta.
00:50Bukan color je, nama kereta.
00:52Tukar ke.
00:54Dia tak fun dulu.
00:56Dia tak fun langsung.
00:57Dia tak ada fun fact dulu.
00:58Betul.
00:59Itu benar lah. Itu benar. Guilty.
01:01Usually dia yang lambat lah.
01:03Betul.
01:04Saksi, saksi.
01:05Dia suka lambat.
01:07But my hands lost his dreams on fire.
01:12Eh, nah, pula.
01:13Ya, pula, ni nak pukul fuzik.
01:14Dengan permukaan dari sekolah merengah lah.
01:17Di masa selepas kita, kita pernah masih 14.
01:18Eh, no, maaf, 13 tahun.
01:19Dari masa 1 masa itu.
01:20Saya dengan Adrian.
01:22Kami terima kali jumpa di sekolah.
01:23Dan kita tahu bahawa, kita adalah dua memang kita sangat suka musik.
01:27Dan kita pernah suka musik yang sekarang.
01:31I think that we start the band for fun actually.
01:35We don't even know how to blow up or to have our own concert that we have this year.
01:45This thing started off as a hobby.
01:53The meaning of music is a mix of two words.
01:58It started off as football and music because it's the two things that we like to do during midnight.
02:04It's a fusion of music.
02:08But originally, football and music because it's the two things that we can do.
02:14Until this day.
02:16The idea is that we have to brainstorm.
02:20The time is that we are playing FIFA.
02:22So, the music is coming.
02:28The idea is a mix of a lot of things actually.
02:32Sebab kitorang minat music ni memang we were into alternative rock.
02:37And also, 80s ballads juga.
02:40It ranges from The Strokes to Michael Jackson.
02:44So, it's a mix of a lot of genres into one.
02:48But, for now, the music that we put out earlier this year is memang kitorang ikut E-blat.
02:54I would say The Strokes.
02:56I take monkeys punya type of sound.
02:59But then again, kitorang akan tukar sound to it.
03:02It won't just stick to one sound.
03:03I think we will always keep changing kitorang punya sound.
03:06Because we are just music lovers.
03:09So, there are a lot of things that we can explore.
03:12We will try to explore.
03:13If I was local, Hujan.
03:16I would say Hujan was my introduction to band music in Malaysia.
03:22I think we all can agree with Fugo.
03:34That's our latest inspiration, Fugo.
03:37It's the same.
03:38I mean like Hujan, Fugo, Sweet Ass.
03:41And all these local bands, they're all doing their own thing.
03:45And kitorang pun, we see them as inspirations.
03:48It's like they want to follow their own song or whatever.
03:52But more to see where they are in the industry.
03:56You know?
03:57They have success.
03:58So, we also want to achieve the same things as them.
04:02I have to mention the band, Sintiasu.
04:06Golden Mammoth.
04:08It's very underrated for psychedelic rock.
04:13And I don't want to listen to their new song.
04:18I'm not afraid to go.
04:22I don't know.
04:23Because at the time when we wrote that song,
04:26we were just experimenting with different sounds
04:30that we didn't do before.
04:33Which is something a bit more overdrive heavy on the guitars
04:39and more effects on the vocals.
04:41I think Moda Soperandi's single was the one that kicked off the whole EP.
04:46And then came Residue.
04:48And then one more time.
04:49And then Upside Down.
04:50So, I think it was quite a smooth process.
04:54But at the same time, it was a bit random.
04:57Like, we wanted to try that sound at that point.
05:00And we all liked it.
05:01And it sounded great.
05:02And it's also something that we've always wanted to do.
05:05The sound that we wanted to achieve.
05:07And that's it.
05:09I think the backstory of Residue is just about
05:18I think navigating my way through life and like growing up.
05:21And like being 24, 25.
05:23I think this is the age that you, what you say, frontal lobe developed.
05:29Whatever.
05:30So, I'm starting to feel that.
05:35And feel like my frontal lobe is developing.
05:38The words that I speak about or like the topics that I speak about in Residue
05:43has a lot to do with my self-reflection and growing up.
05:50And I think it's like a reminder to myself to refer that song as the saying
05:57that people always say to me, which is one door closes and another opens.
06:01So, if you read the lyrics in that song, you can dissect.
06:06That's what I'm trying to tell the listeners.
06:09This is where my life is at right now.
06:11And if you can relate to it, you can relate to it.
06:13But it's like a mind opening song for me.
06:16Like, okay, I'm already big.
06:19So, I have a lot of responsibility.
06:21I have a lot to protect myself.
06:23I have a lot to protect myself.
06:24I have a lot to protect mental health.
06:25Stuff like that, you know?
06:26For us, when we write the lyrics, we don't have a expectation.
06:33For this EP, when we wrote the individual song,
06:37we don't have to think that this song will be more than this song.
06:41And the reason why we write is that we want to try to make a song
06:46that we don't usually do.
06:48And we want to try to get that sound.
06:50And we just want to share the music with us.
06:52So, we're still thankful and very grateful that Residue and Modus Operandi
06:58was received well by you all.
07:01Yeah.
07:02Give some love to One More Time and Upside Down.
07:05Because I feel like it's still underrated in the EP.
07:08Okay, so idea for Forevermore ni,
07:19actually it's our dream to play this venue, ZAP KL,
07:24and at the same time, headline our own solo concert.
