Federal, state and territory health ministers have agreed to an independent accreditation system for fertility providers in the wake of recent IVF scandals. The review was prompted by revelations fertility provider Monash IVF had twice transferred the wrong embryo to a patient. It is hoped the changes will lift the sector's standards.
