00:00So, Melania Trump, she put out a beautiful post reminding us of what is lost here.
00:07This was on X.
00:08She said, Charlie's children will be raised with stories instead of memories, photographs
00:13instead of laughter, and silence where their father's voice should have echoed.
00:19Charlie Kirk's life should serve as a symbolic reminder that compassionate awareness elevates
00:25family, love, and country.
00:27And you know, if you don't mind me just saying this, Lawrence, she also had, after the Butler
00:33assassination attempt, she wasn't talking about a president, he was talking about he's
00:39a father and a husband.
00:40So, we almost lost a father.
00:43Like, she humanizes it with the family and not with titles.
00:48Because he was a human being.
00:50And I think that's what the First Lady, I think we look at these politicians and you put them
00:54on a pedestal and these people, first of all, he wasn't even a person.
00:57He wasn't a politician.
00:58He was a dad trying to mobilize young people.
01:03And when you put it that way, these people have feelings.
01:05They have families.
01:06And you just robbed a young dad of those memories with his children.
01:12The Vice President of the United States, who was very close to Charlie Kirk, had this to
01:16say on X.
01:17When I became the VP nominee, something Charlie advocated for both in public and private,
01:23Charlie was there for me.
01:24I was so glad to be a part of the president's team.
01:27But candidly surprised by the effect it had on our family.
01:33Our kids, especially our oldest, struggled with the attention and the constant presence
01:37of protective detail.
01:38I felt this acute sense of guilt that I had conscripted my kids into this life without
01:46getting their permission.
01:48And Charlie was constantly calling and texting, checking on our family and offering guidance
01:53and prayer.
01:55Some of our most successful events were organized not by the campaign, but by Turning Point USA.
02:00He wasn't just a thinker.
02:02He was a doer, turning big ideas into bigger events with thousands of activists.
02:08And after every event, he would give me a big hug, tell me he was praying for me and
02:13ask me what he could do.
02:16You focus on Wisconsin, he'll tell me.
02:18Arizona is in the bag.
02:21And it was.
02:22I was in a meeting in the West Wing when those group chats started, lighting up people telling
02:28Charlie that they were praying for him.
02:30And that's how I learned the news that my friend had been shot.
02:35I prayed a lot over the next hours as first good news and then bad trickled in.
02:41God didn't answer those prayers.
02:42And that's OK.
02:44He had other plans.
02:45And now that Charlie is in heaven, I'll ask him to talk to the big man directly on the
02:49behalf of his family, his friends in the country he loved so dearly.
02:54You ran a good race, my friend.
02:56We got it from here.
02:57It reminds you of that scripture.
03:00When you come to the end of your life, you want God to say, you ran a great race.
03:03You ran the race.
03:04You ran it valiantly.
03:06And Charlie did.
03:07Charlie, what an impact at 31 years old.
03:09Where were you at 31 years old?
03:11You know, we didn't have an impact like Charlie did.
03:13God had his hand on his life.
03:15And now we know where he is.
03:16He's in heaven.
03:17His faith meant the world to him.
03:18And he was co-hosting Fox and Friends on the weekend of, what, a month and a half ago.
03:24So keep in mind, Pete Hegseth went on to work for the administration.
03:28And then Will Cain, 4 o'clock, was moved to the 4 o'clock show.
03:31So we had two open spots on the weekend show.
03:34And Charlie Hurt took one of those spots with Rachel Campos Duffy.
03:38And Charlie Kirk was filling in with Charlie Hurt.
03:42So they had this quiz, the Charlie versus Charlie quiz.
03:45Watch this.
03:46Which Charlie skipped class to do a news interview?
03:50Okay, that's definitely got to be Charlie Kirk.
03:52Oh!
03:54I mean, Charlie Hurt.
03:55Yes!
03:56No?
03:56Nice!
03:57It was you, Charlie.
03:58My first ever TV appearance, I skipped class to go on Fox and Friends.
04:02Really?
04:03Yep.
04:04So it all has come full circle.
04:05It's full circle.
04:06From guest to guest host.
04:08It was back when I was a senior in high school.
04:10It was all about launching the Students Against Cookie Inflation.
04:14You know, we were all about...
04:15Was it really about the cookie?
04:15It was about, like, three or four different topics.
04:18People can go back to the archives and get it.
04:20How have they found you?
04:21Oh, we reached out.
04:23We were relentless.
04:24I was like, hey...
04:24You were shilling yourself?
04:26Oh, 100%.
04:27Hey, you've got to have hustle.
04:28You've got to have grind.
04:29You've got to...
04:30You know what I'm seeing?
04:31You know why I'm getting all of these wrong?
04:33Because you two actually have so much in common.
04:35I don't know.
04:36I don't know.
04:36I don't know.
04:36I don't know.
04:37I don't know.
04:37I don't know.
04:38I don't know.
