00:00Well, from reports and particularly our own correspondence, things are tightening around the man who they think is the assassin.
00:09They are trying to catch him for killing conservative icon Charlie Kirk at a college event in Utah yesterday.
00:17It's not still been 24 hours and the FBI is moving quickly now with some details and evidence that they picked up in the last hour or so.
00:25And it's revealing this morning that images of the shooter exist and you can see those images on your screen right now.
00:34If anyone has any information on this person of interest, please contact the FBI.
00:391-800-CALL-FBI and we'll get that up on all of our social platforms immediately.
00:46Authorities are saying they have been able to track the suspect's movements and have recovered the high power rifle officials say they believe the shooter used in the attack.
00:57The FBI is confident it will be able to catch this person.
01:01Sources close to Fox News also confirm investigators are looking into what appears to be messages that are written both on the gun and the shell casings.
01:10Recovered by authorities just in the last like 35 minutes or so.
01:14Bill Malusian has that part of our story.
01:16The content of those messages, though, is still unclear.
01:19At least they have not revealed them to us in the wider media.
01:22This is Outnumbered.
01:23I'm Harris Faulkner here with my co-hosts, Emily Campagno and Kayleigh McEnany.
01:28Also joining us today, Laura Trump, host of My View with Laura Trump, and Lawrence Jones, co-host of Fox and Friends.
01:35First, let's go to CB Cotton and get the very latest at Utah Valley University.
01:41CB.
01:43Hi, Harris.
01:44Well, multiple sources have told Fox News about the messages that appear to be left behind on both the ammunition and firearm recovered from the scene of Charlie Kirk's assassination.
01:55So far, the FBI, as you mentioned, has declined to comment on this.
01:58But what the agency is saying is that they've got lots of good video of the killer's path on this campus.
02:07We have tracked his movements onto the campus, through the stairwells, up to the roof, across the roof to a shooting location.
02:14We do have good video footage of this individual.
02:18We are not going to release that at this time.
02:22Agents say the shooter got on campus less than an hour before assassinating 31-year-old Charlie Kirk,
02:29who was visiting Utah Valley University in Orem, which is about an hour away from Salt Lake City.
02:34The FBI says the gunman blended in well on campus and appears to be college-aged.
02:40Agents say he wore all-black tactical gear as he fired off the fatal shot from about 200 yards away towards the stage,
02:48where Kirk had just started answering a question from someone in the crowd.
02:52After the shooting, the suspect ran off into a neighborhood, according to FBI agents,
02:56who say they found a high-powered bolt-action rifle in a wooded area.
03:00Other clues were also left behind.
03:05Investigators have also collected footwear impression, a palm print, and forearm imprints for analysis.
03:14The FBI is also asking for anyone with photos or videos to please share those with the agency.
03:21And moments ago, the FBI also released a new photo saying this could be a person of interest in this case.
03:28I know our show producers are going to work diligently to share that image with our viewers.
03:32Harris, back over to you.
03:34Yeah, and we are putting up that image of the person of interest, CB, right now, and we will continue to do that.
03:40They are looking for the public's help now.
03:41They have obviously tightened their net around the suspect,
03:46and the public can be of immediate help just in cutting the timeline.
03:49They are going to get this guy.
03:50800-CALL-FBI, and the image that you want to keep, that we'll keep up on the screen as long as possible, is there, too.
03:57We're also, and I'm kind of saying this to you, but also asking our team wider who's listening to flood our social media with this.
04:03All platforms are outnumbered right now as well.
04:06Lawrence, you, well, none of us slept last night, but you were up on the air earlier than anybody here on the couch.
04:13And this day has gone rapidly different than maybe some people had thought, and it's in a very good way.
04:21We're getting more information.
04:22We might be close to getting the suspected assassin.
04:26Well, earlier this morning, there was a lot of trepidation, for me in particular,
04:31even though a lot of people that I know and love and respect work at the FBI, that we hadn't got a photo,
04:36because that's the first step right here.
04:39Injustice is identifying who this person is so they can stay in trial before the peers of this country with a jury.
04:49And now we have that photo, our imagination, based on the person who they targeted, Charlie Kirk,
04:55and since he was given a political speech, and since they didn't fire at the crowd, but they fired directly at his head,
05:02we knew it was political. Now we've got the shell casings and other ammo that have political messages there.
05:10So we're getting closer and closer.
05:12I just hope that we're all zooming in, all law enforcement.
05:15You've got to get this guy.
05:18Charlie was a representation of a movement of young people in America.
05:23And I don't care if you agree with his politics or not.
05:26We can't have that in this country.
05:28You know, part of the excitement, too, around Charlie, and I was sharing last hour,
05:33in the state of Arizona, he was being talked about in circles of people who were decades older than he.
05:39Can't wait until he becomes governor.
05:40Like, people saw the trajectory of this young man.
05:44But part of the conversation was, could he bring the youth vote?
05:47Because young people may get activated and motivated, but until they go to the polls, that's the big difference.
05:53And he apparently could do that.
05:55Yeah, he did do that.
05:56I'll tell you, as the former RNC co-chair, we worked very closely with Turning Point USA.
06:02What Charlie was able to do is really miraculous.
06:05When you think about the fact that he didn't finish college, he dropped out of college,
06:08yet his goal was to mobilize these students to really change the tenure on college campuses.
06:15And he was able to do that.
06:17We saw a huge shift in young voters, this election in particular, especially with young men.
06:24Charlie played such a huge role in that.
06:26I don't think you can ever overstate it.
06:28I said this last night on Jesse's show, but I believe that Donald Trump probably wouldn't be president right now without the assistance of Charlie Kirk.
06:36What he has done and his legacy, I think, is even too big to comprehend right now.
06:43The void and the hole that will be left is enormous.
06:47And I'm just hopeful, as someone who cares about this country and the forward progress of this country, that someone is able to pick up where Charlie left off.
06:57Turning Point USA is such an important organization.
07:01I'm personally very grateful for everything he did, all the work he did.
07:05And you can't go to one of those events without palpably taking in how impactful Charlie Kirk was.
07:12Yeah, you know, I want to get your response in part to what Laura is saying, because what she's talking about is more than a movement.
07:18It's a complete political shift.
07:20If you get a whole new generation of voters who have the kind of bravery to speak out that that he embodied.
07:28Yeah, Laura saw it firsthand at the RNC.
07:30I saw the data online today.
07:33A 44 point shift in Gen Z men over two years.
07:37How did that happen?
07:38Charlie Kirk.
07:39That happened because of Charlie Kirk.
07:41And when I look at that image on the screen, I know we have to show it.
07:44I know how important that is for law enforcement purposes.
07:46But I have rage in my soul when I see that individual.
07:49And I want to tell that person, and I hope someone does convey this to this person someday, somehow.
07:55Charlie had a light in him, a special light.
07:58And you might have thought you extinguished that light, but boy, did you not extinguish that light.
08:02You set a raging fire that is here to stay, and it is a fire that is going across the world when you took that young man's life.
08:10I just want to share quickly some texts I got, because I've already shared my personal history with Charlie.
08:15These are texts I got from people who didn't know Charlie.
08:16One mom said, back to school night last night, was shocked and upset.
08:20He promoted free speech.
08:22He listened respectfully to dissenters.
08:24A mom from across the nation sent another text.
08:27I would find clips.
08:28I'd show them to my three sons.
08:30They would almost debate Charlie back.
08:31I was teaching them to have civil discourse.
08:34A father, I did not realize what voice he had with my kids and young people.
08:38Jim Jordan called me last night.
08:40He said his grandchildren say he is the Rush Limbaugh of their generation.
08:44And Chip Roy, this morning, shared with me a Bible verse his son sent him.
08:47And I think this just sums up Charlie and sums up this moment.
08:501 Corinthians 15, 58.
08:53He said this,
08:54Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm.
08:57Let nothing move you.
08:58Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord,
09:00because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
09:04Charlie's labor was not in vain.
09:06And you, on the other side of the screen, you lit a raging fire.
09:08A Christian believer, an angel among us versus the devil.
09:13It is a spiritual warfare right now.
09:15Let's hear from Charlie Kirk a little bit.
09:17Let's watch.
09:21I go around universities and have challenging conversations,
09:24because that's what is so important to our country,
09:29is to find our disagreements respectfully,
09:32because when people stop talking, that's when violence happens.
09:35I've never seen someone do this.
09:36Well, it's a growing trend,
09:37because people like me are facing violence, assaults.
09:42The left.
09:43The left.
09:43Yes.
09:44The campus Antifa.
09:45I've been stormed out of restaurants.
09:47I've been assaulted publicly.
09:48Multiple death threats.
09:49Okay.
09:50So what's your goal in all this?
09:51There's more people that agree with me
09:53than some people would actually believe,
09:56and they come out of the woodwork when I do stuff like this.
09:58We record all of it so that we put it on the Internet
10:00so people can see these ideas collide.
10:02When people stop talking, that's when you get violence.
10:04That's when civil war happens,
10:06because you start to think the other side is so evil
10:08and they lose their humanity.
10:11Such an incredible legacy that he himself said
10:14he wants to be remembered for his courage of faith.
10:17And that's all wrapped up with him unequivocally
10:21and at every opportunity advocating for peace
10:24and the civil discourse.
10:25Four years ago, someone asked about
10:27if political violence was ever justified,
10:30and he said it is incumbent upon us
10:32to exhaust all peaceful options.
10:35And there was a figure larger than life
10:37that represented so much saying,
10:39I've got death threats.
10:40I've been assaulted in public.
10:41It is heartbreaking that there was a success
10:44to one of those measures.
10:45That bullet did not just take Charlie Kirk's life.
10:48It pierced a movement.
10:49And I thought the same thing, Laura.
10:51I wondered, in this huge void,
10:54in this larger-than-life shoes to fill,
10:57who will step up?
10:58And then I realized that Charlie's legacy
11:00is empowering these millions of Americans
11:03that have been empowered with,
11:06charged with, and inspired by the concept
11:08that civil discourse and engaging, thoughtful listening
11:12and simply robust debate is the way to move forward
11:16because we are all Americans at one time.
11:18And what breaks my heart in this moment
11:20is the loss, the loss for this nation,
11:23the trajectory he was on,
11:24and also that he did everything right.
11:27He did everything right, which was to espouse
11:29the benefits of peaceful, robust discourse.
11:33He was doing it all right.
11:34Even his fiercest critics applauded him for doing that,
11:37and yet he paid the ultimate price for it.
11:40Well, again, we need your help.
11:43The FBI is trying to identify the whereabouts
11:47of this person of interest.
11:49So please look at your screen right now.
11:51And again, we are putting this across
11:53all of our social platforms.
11:54So even during the commercial, check it out.
11:57Authorities say this guy is connected
12:00to the Charlie Kirk assassination.
12:03The FBI tip line now, 1-800-CALL-FBI.
12:08Tributes from both sides of the political aisle
12:12actually are coming in now for Charlie Kirk
12:14as we remember his impact across the globe.
12:20To all the Gen Zers watching this convention
12:23on TikTok right now,
12:24I have a message just for you.
12:26We're going to choose success.
12:29We're going to choose to put the future
12:32of Americans first.
12:34We together are going to do the work
12:37to save America.
