00:00Yeah, so Planting Deck just kind of was just a bit of a silly idea really in the first instance
00:05because I thought it'd be cool to have a record shop that also sold plants and that was just a
00:10funny pun and then it kind of got stuck in my head and then a few years I got a bit obsessed
00:15with it and then a couple of years after that we eventually opened in the Imaginarium which is how
00:23I connected with Royer and since we've moved from that venue we found this wonderful new space at
00:31Dog House Bar and Bagel Shop on the top floor so we're really excited to reopen.
00:38It's a really really good space for a shop, it's probably a lot better than the Imaginarium was.
00:42It's a lot better, the space is a lot better, it's going to be really nice to continue the vibe of the
00:49the original place in a new venue where we're fully focused just on the record shop and the
00:55plant shop whereas before we were running a venue as well at the same time so yeah
01:00it's going to be a new focus and yeah we're really excited aren't we?
01:03Yeah.
01:04What can we expect here and in what way are you sort of collaborating with Dog House where you've now moved?
01:10Yeah so we work really well with everyone at Dog House and all of Stu's sites so there's 2 & 2,
01:17Wap & Take and Bridge End Social as well so he was using this space as a function room and now that
01:25he's got Bridge End Social it's got a much bigger function room space so he offers this space to us
01:30so that he can push that side a bit more and it's going to be the same kind of warm and welcoming vibe
01:36that we've always handed out at Plant & Dex so people can expect the same vibe in a nicer, more, what's the word?
01:48More comfortable, you can get a bagel and a pint.
01:50Yeah you can get a bagel and a pint while you're digging for records or while you're looking for plants.
01:54And what can we expect on Saturday grand opening?
01:57A big line up of a lot of like up and coming leads DJs and everything will be not like this,
02:06it won't be a mess basically, there's loads of new stock, plants as well as records.
02:11Yeah, some discounts on the day as well.
02:14Oh 20% discount on all plants and some records will be discounted as well.
02:19And just a celebration of the new chapter, yeah.
