00:06A new nationwide survey just revealed the biggest weather fears across the U.S.

00:10And topping the list?

00:12Tornadoes, with nearly half of Americans naming them their worst nightmare.

00:16Tsunamis came in a close second, followed by earthquakes and hurricanes.

00:21But here's the shocking part.

00:23Most people don't actually feel prepared.

00:25Only 28% have a tornado plan.

00:27Less than half know the difference between a watch and a warning.

00:31And almost a third of the country has no disaster plan at all.

00:34Regionally, it gets even more interesting.

00:37In the Midwest, people are chill about tornadoes, but wildfires leave them uneasy.

00:42The West fears earthquakes, but is even more scared of fast-moving wildfires.

00:47Meanwhile, the Southeast sees itself as disaster veterans thanks to all those hurricanes.

00:57Eighty percent of Americans say they're more aware of severe weather than ever before.
