00:00Special Forces. Can you guys believe that you signed on to do this?
00:06No, I did not.
00:09Yes, I have been actually wanting to do it since season one, so I'm happy we got the opportunity,
00:14to be honest. I love it. Did you have to do some convincing with Jessie? Of course. How'd you get
00:19her on board? Well, she was my only way in, so I had to, yeah, I mean, we went back and forth
00:26after we got asked whether it made sense or not, but it really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
00:31to do some like really extreme like bucket list type things, so to do it together was actually
00:38really fun and just a whole different experience because we've never done anything to that degree,
00:42obviously, but just to kind of like rough it and, you know, be kind of tested mentally and physically
00:48and just kind of have that support system was awesome. Yeah, he was asked season one
00:56and season two and, um, it just didn't make sense, you know, the timing of it all. And then
01:01they asked again this past season, but they had a different dynamic. They wanted another married
01:07couple. And so he was like, come on, let's just do it. Let's go do it. And I, I have never had
01:15interest in doing something like this. And so it was just a moment of like, what is this serious?
01:21Like you really think, you know, but, uh, yeah, we, we did it. Would you have never signed up if you
01:29two couldn't do it together? I would have never done it. No, it's just not anything I've ever
01:36wanted to do. You know what I mean? Like it makes sense that he wanted to do that. He's,
01:40he's like a big old man that, that likes to clearly get rough and tough. He's done it his whole life.
01:45And so his whole career. And so for me, I just didn't really think about it, but I will tell you
01:50my personality, like saying no already felt like I had failed. So I felt like I needed to say yes,
01:58because I knew I would have that feeling in my stomach of you failed by already saying no to this.
02:03This had to have been the most unique experience that you two could probably ever go through.
02:09Talk to me about the training together and going through that together. How did you two
02:13support one another and what were some of the challenges that you two faced?
02:17Well, leading up, I mean, we found out maybe less than 10 days, uh, before the show kicked off.
02:23So there was no training. Um, but no, when we got there, like I said, we really haven't done anything,
02:29uh, in this world together. You know, I played professional football and like I had my locker room
02:35and it kind of got to experience, you know, just the challenges that come with training,
02:40uh, with sports, but like to, to have the dynamic to really be together and go through, like I said,
02:46just some of the most extreme things that you can do, um, was unique and fun. And like now
02:52having perspective and looking back kind of debriefing at all, it's like,
02:56she is really tough and she is like, got a lot of grit and, you know, um, it just kind of showed me
03:03a lot of her personality. I knew that she was capable of doing it, but like to really, to really,
03:08yeah, big time to like the living conditions were awful. The food was awful. Like the whole
03:14experience was really hard, you know, they didn't make it easy. Um, and so you get used to maybe
03:20accustomed to a certain lifestyle. So, you know, just being in that environment was like, this is,
03:25this is like nitty gritty, but dang, this is a lot of fun to kind of see just the success of getting
03:31through every day together.
