We ask Londoners about the damages of social media.

00:00Parental lock, yeah, like all that, because there's actually quite a lot of good functionality
00:04across a lot of apps already. And I think maybe it's just a case that parents have to
00:09get up to speed on some of that stuff and not just be kind of relying on the government
00:13enforcing such stuff. I think that's kind of where you get into the overreach discussion
00:19with government. I think parents probably need to take a bit more of the responsibility
00:23when it comes to that.
00:24There need to be some controls. I don't know about banning, but certainly they do because
00:28you know, they've been sort of young teens committing suicide by what they've seen online
00:35and that, and these groups. So yeah, there has to be some control. Yeah, I'm glad that
00:41my children, it was just about starting, but no, they didn't get involved with it because
00:47it is a worry for parents.
00:49Not allowing kids to use it during school, so they're not distracted from learning what
00:53they should be learning. I think it's really important.
00:57Social media has been the ruin of our young society.
