03:26We've established some principles

03:29In terms of how we officiate

03:31In the Premier League

03:32And how we use VAR

03:33They sit around a high threshold for penalising contact

03:36It aids the flow and rhythm and tempo of the game

03:39We've also established a high bar for intervention with VAR

03:42In other words, if situations are not clearly wrong

03:45And the referee has made a call on the field

03:47That call will stand

03:48Or at least should stand

03:49And that's the message that we give to all of our VARs

03:51Particularly when we come to taking away goals

03:53That are so obviously such a crucial moment in the game

03:57We should only be taking goals away when the evidence is very clear

04:00That that's the only thing we can do

04:02And that's the guidance that we give to our officials

04:05In this situation, that guidance wasn't followed properly

04:09There was a misjudgment by the officials involved in the situation

04:12About how that contact happened between Muniz and Chalabar

04:17The officials got super focused on that contact

04:20Without looking at the full context of how it happened

04:22It happens when Muniz is in possession of the ball

04:25Controls the ball, turns naturally

04:27And brings his foot down onto Chalabar

04:29Who's moved his foot into a space

04:31Which the Fulham player has the right to put his foot into

04:35In that normal way

04:36So a misjudgment by the officials

04:38Obviously as always we take the learning

04:40We look at what we can do better

04:43To ensure we reduce these to a minimum

04:45But we've done really well in the last 18 months or so

04:48To reduce our involvement with respect to the referee's call

04:51Almost all of the time in the right way

04:54And as a result of that we've seen less interventions in the Premier League

04:58Than any other major league in Europe

05:01So we need to continue doing that

05:03We understand the importance of these decisions

05:04We understand that if we get it wrong like we did on this occasion

05:06The impact is significant

05:08And we're always, always striving to do better
