01:00We have our own language, we speak Samoans.
01:03We have seven different islands in the Polynesian Culture Center.
01:06We also have seven different cultures and seven different languages.
01:10So we don't understand each other.
01:13That's why we have to speak English.
01:16So if you have any questions, talk to me.
01:18Because all of us work here, we're all from Samoa.
01:21And I see some friends from Japan here today.
01:23Japanese, where are you?
01:24Yeah, there they are.
01:26Konnichiwa.
01:28Yeah, Korea.
01:31Anybody not from Korea or Japan?
01:38Thank you for coming.
01:39There's a lot to do and there's a lot to see.
01:44Samoa is still controlled by chiefs.
01:47Chiefs make the rules and they tell you what to do.
01:49So whatever they say, we do it.
01:51So it's good to meet you.
01:52The people of Samoa are known as the happy people of Polynesia.
01:58So ladies and gentlemen, we are the happy people.
02:04So please be happy.
02:05Are you happy?
02:07Yeah!
02:08Me too.
02:10Japanese, are you happy?
02:12Yeah!
02:14Japanese.
02:15How many of you here that have been to Samoa?
02:20Anybody have been to our country?

02:27Okay.
02:28That's the airport.
02:31Give him a hand, everybody.
02:32He went to the islands and visited Hong Kong.
02:34And I'm going to Samoa.
02:36Everything is still the same in the islands.
02:38When you look over here, you see these open houses.
02:41In Samoa, we can build as many as we want because we don't need permits.
02:43We also grow our own food.
02:46We don't pay tax.
02:47We're the happy people.
02:50If you have no place to stay, this is yours.
02:53If you want to meet the chief, look for the big one.
02:55If you want to see the family, there's a family hut to my left.
02:59When you're hungry, we have the pizza hut.
03:02That's the cooking place.
03:03It belongs to the men.
03:05In Samoa, we men do the cooking.
03:07Ladies don't cook in Samoa.
03:09It's still part of the culture.
03:11Do you like that, ladies?
03:11Then please move to Samoa.
03:16Because we men are moving out.
03:19Every day we cook, we use the crabbed oven.
03:21Climbed trees, get coconuts.
03:23Make fire by rubbing sticks.
03:26Every day.
03:28That's why I ran away.
03:30Come here to get more educations.
03:33Someday I'll go back and change it.
03:35Take a microwave oven.

04:05Very simple.
04:06It takes about five and a half hours.
04:08So, let's get going.
04:12This is how we do it.
04:26We rub sticks all day long.
04:29On rainy days, we don't eat.
04:33Then we go to McDonald's.
04:41I hate this job.
04:50Are you making movies?
