00:05Hi everyone, it's Hailey, and today I'm going to be talking to you guys about our new addition to our Rode family, the peptide lip shape.
00:14I'm so, so excited about these. I have been teasing them for the longest time, and now you can finally get your hands on them.
00:20I wanted something for the lips that gives the same kind of contour effect that you do on other parts of the face.
00:26I wanted it to be a lip shaper without having to be so precise as a lip liner.
00:31You can go outside the lines, you can kind of be more messy with it, which is why we created the smudger on the other end.
00:37And the smudger is to help you blend it in, also clean it up a little bit however you see fit, so you don't always have to use your finger.
00:44We have 11 shades to choose from so that you can find one that will complement your natural lip tone.
00:49The name of it is shape, and when you think about shape, I think about moving your body, and we have lift, press, bend, lunge, twist, et cetera, et cetera.
00:57Some of the ingredients that are in our peptide lip shape that I really, really love are palmitoyl tripeptide 1, which is the peptide in our formula, and fenugreek extract.
01:06What both of those ingredients do is it helps give the look of fullness to your lips immediately and over time.
01:13Something that's really important at Rode is that we continue to make these interesting hybrid products that have skincare benefit to them.
01:20And I also want to know that what I'm using on a day-to-day basis for parts of my makeup routine are also giving me a skincare benefit.
01:27This was another product similar to our pocket blush, something that's easy to throw in your pocket, throw in your purse, perfect addition to your makeup bag.
01:34I'm going to get into some of the shades. I'm going to start with Shade Press, and I just get a little messy with it, and I overline my lips like that.
01:46And also what's nice, too, is you can get in on the corners. You can kind of fill in where you want. Sometimes I go in on the center like that.
01:53So I'm just going in with the silicone smudger, and you can see that as I start to smudge it in like this, it really just kind of like melts in with my natural lip color.
02:05The next shade I'm going to go in with is Balance, one of my favorite shades. That is a really beautiful caramel brown shade.
02:12I feel like for just that everyday contour, this is a really, really beautiful color.
02:19Going in with the smudger, you can totally use this on its own with a lip.
02:25You can use it as the contour step and then go in with your favorite liner for more precision and definition.
02:32I'm going to talk through one more of my favorite lip combos, and I'm going to use the shade Twist.
02:38And this one is a really beautiful warm taupe color.
02:42And you can see, as I'm even applying it, how it just gives you that contoured look around the lips and around the mouth.
02:49And you see how not precious I'm being about it. I'm just getting in there. I'm going. And if I've got to clean it up, the smudger.
03:00I'm going to take the Pocket Blush in Piggy, and these are good for cheeks and lips.
03:06And I'm going to just go in to the center of my lips.
03:09Just blend it out.
03:14This is a lip combo I've been doing for a while that I'm obsessed with.
03:20I do really love the look of a pink lip in the center and then a neutral lip product on the outskirts.
03:27As you can see, my lips look fuller and contoured.
03:30I am so obsessed with this product. I'm so glad it's finally part of the Rode family and now can be part of your makeup family as well.
