00:00Yeah, it was a bit weird. Basically, one of the band had a bit of a health scare, so we thought, well, let's do some gigs, you know.
00:10We've always been together, and we've always done albums through the years. I think it's our sixth one.
00:18But we thought we'd never really done a lot of gigs in the last sort of 20 years, so we thought we'd give it a go.
00:23We tested the water with Hebden Bridge, and, you know, we're just really pleased and surprised at how many people turned up and how good it was, you know, and the feeling was really, really amazing.
00:35So we've continued to do it, and on the back of that, obviously, we thought, well, you know, we're always writing songs. Why don't we do another album? And that's really where it led.
00:43Do those northern homecoming gigs, do they carry a different kind of energy compared to maybe abroad or around the country?
00:51Yeah, I think it's definitely, I mean, you know, there's pressure when you go to London, for sure.
00:56We always felt a bit when we were in Manchester that you were a bit under the mask.
01:00You get sort of, you have to deal with the kind of, I suppose, the music journalists, not that that matters to us anymore, but back in the day.
01:08But it's, yeah, it's more relaxed, you feel more comfortable, more at home when you're playing, you know.
