00:00Do you think Sheffield Council should be having its fountains running when there's a drought?
00:04I like to see the fountains running, but I would hope that it's all reused and it sort of moves around.
00:11It's not just fresh water being wasted all the time.
00:13Surely they've got some sort of regeneration of water scheme, because I do like to see the fountains working.
00:19I think that makes it peaceful, and I think for people in Sheffield that do want somewhere to sit,
00:24that have mental health problems or a stressful life, they can sit at the city of the water.
00:29In a city, and feel that they're somewhere in countryside, so I don't like to give a friend that I would hope there's some sort of regeneration of the water.
00:41Oh, during the drought?
00:44Well, it gets recycled, doesn't it? Because it gets pumped by coke, if you know what I mean.
00:49So there's only a certain amount of water, and it keeps getting reused, pumped by coke, big ones here, and them on floor.
01:02And, you know, if it's nice weather and that, the kids love running in and out of, you know, and what's come out of that ground and that, they love it.
01:13I don't think there's no wrong with that.
01:15I think, in theory, it's one rule for one and not the other, isn't it?
01:25But I do guess that in a few weeks we're going to get plenty of rain, so I can't see what the problem's going to be.
01:31Plus, the city needs to look open, doesn't it? Because at the moment it looks very shut, with all the roadworks, and it's just one big building site, isn't it?
01:43So, Sheffield needs any little bit it can, at the moment.
01:47Well, as far as I'm aware, the fountains in the Peace Gardens, it's recycled. It goes round and round and round, it's not wasted.
01:57It's just come to a tank and bump back up again. So, there's no problem, surely.
02:04Well, we always have a drought of some description. Any time we have a nice bit of weather for a long period of time, we seem to have a drought.
02:11But we are an island that's surrounded by water, so I'm pretty sure we can share it there.
02:16I mean, maybe not have it on constantly, you know, time is just right, you know, influx of when people are here and, you know, people are enjoying it, like families and the weekends and stuff like that.
02:25Maybe hold restrictions there, but, I mean, there's always a drought or we're getting flooded or something, or some description, so I'm a bit impartial on that.
