00:00Welcome to the Dreamed Novel channel before starting to listen to the fun in this clip.
00:13Don't forget to like and comment. So that the admin will have the encouragement to continue
00:18making clips. Let's go listen. Hogwarts. I am such a model wizard.
00:25Chapter 451, Bill and Charlie for the next few days, Kyle stayed home in St. Catchpole Village,
00:33rarely venturing out. He usually spent his time doing homework or working in the attic with Fred
00:38and George, helping them make the little props they'd use for pranks. Occasionally, Cedric would
00:44drop by as well. Not only was Chris busy, but Mr. Weasley and Mr. Diggory had also been tied up with
00:51work. Fred and George had plenty to say about this, complaining that they now had to wake up
00:56two hours earlier every morning for breakfast. Percy seems quite pleased with all this,
01:02Fred remarked as he fiddled with a newly crafted firework in the attic.
01:07I think he'd be happy to live at the ministry full-time. George nodded. He started working
01:13in the Department for International Magical Cooperation. Just make sure not to mention
01:18anything about foreign countries unless you want a never-ending lecture. Does he discuss work with
01:23you at home too? Cedric asked, intrigued. I think that'd be kind of interesting.
01:30Cedric's father rarely talked about work, except when he'd had too much to drink.
01:36So Cedric usually learned things about his father's job only in those half-asleep moments.
01:40Work? Hardly, Fred said, rolling his eyes. I doubt the ministry would let someone who's
01:48just started out handle international magical affairs. And they're not interested in the bottom
01:53of a cauldron either, George added with a laugh. I never realized how much Percy's been obsessing
02:00over potions. The bottom of a cauldron? Cedric asked, puzzled. Percy's fixated on this lately,
02:08George explained with a shrug. Apparently, he's organizing some exhibition of thick-bottomed
02:14cauldrons and is busy picking out the right pieces for it. Maybe he'll end up heading the
02:19International Magical Cooperation Department thanks to that exhibition. Fred suggested.
02:25Or even the Minister of Magic. George added, grinning. Yes, since thin-bottomed cauldrons are such
02:32a serious issue, Fudge wouldn't know what hit him. Fred and George could always find endless
02:38amusement and discussion when it came to Percy. Luckily, we only have to put up with him for
02:44another month, Fred said, carefully placing a finished firework in the suitcase beside him.
02:50These fireworks would all turn into galleons one day, and they were quite attached to them.
02:55Time passed quickly in the cheerful atmosphere. Occasionally, Kyle would glance in the direction of
03:01London, wondering what was happening to Sirius. It had been more than half a month since they
03:06returned from the cave, and the only message Kyle had received was a short note from Lupin on the day
03:12they got back. Since then, he'd heard nothing from Twelve, Grimauld Place. I guess he's fine.
03:20Kyle thought. Lupin definitely wouldn't do anything too harsh, and as for the rest,
03:25Sirius will probably just tough it out. And so, the holiday flew by.
03:30Soon enough, the last day of July arrived, Kyle's birthday. Early that morning, a large flock of
03:38owls swooped in, delivering gifts from friends near and far. Among them was a reply from Sirius at
03:44last. He had sent a large package packed with all kinds of herbs. Almost everything available in
03:51Diagon Alley was there, mostly flowers and leaves, three of each type, with the poisonous ones wrapped
03:57separately, obviously Lupin's doing. Sirius would never be that meticulous, if it had been up to him,
04:04he'd likely have just bundled the herbs together in one big wrap. Besides, Sirius was still wanted
04:10by the authorities and couldn't go to Diagon Alley himself. Kyle grabbed a bag of Bertie Botts
04:16every flavor beans and started munching while he unwrapped the rest of the gift. Midway through his snack,
04:22he heard a rustling noise from downstairs. Looking out the window, he spotted four familiar red-haired
04:29figures. Fred was at the front, holding a huge cream cake. He looked up and grinned.
04:36Happy birthday, Kyle. Behind him stood George and the other two Weasleys.
04:42Charlie, Bill. Kyle said in surprise. When did you get back? Last night, Charlie replied,
04:51waving. We arranged to be here early. One second, Kyle said, putting down his half-unwrapped
04:58presents and hurrying downstairs to open the door for them. Happy birthday. Fred said, thrusting the
05:05cake toward Kyle, nearly landing it in his face. No doubt Fred had done it on purpose,
05:11just to startle him a bit. You're lucky mom's not here, or she'd be furious, Charlie said,
05:18pulling the cake back and moving in to give Kyle a hug. Happy birthday. Charlie looked even tanner
05:24than last year, with a fresh scar on his arm. Bill walked over, giving Kyle a friendly pat on the
05:30shoulder. Long time no see, Kyle, or should I say, Sir Order of Merlin. He smirked. When I first heard
05:40about the second class order of Merlin, I thought it was some old wizard with the same name. Too bad,
05:45you guessed wrong, Kyle laughed. Bill had changed the most. Since graduating, he seemed to have
05:53embraced a different style. His short hair had grown into a ponytail, and he now wore an earring
05:59with a small fawn-like charm. Dressed in a casual outfit, he looked more like a rock fan than a wizard,
06:05save for his dragonhide boots. Different, huh? Bill said, shaking his long hair. Maybe a bit,
06:14but not by much. Kyle wasn't surprised, Bill's character was well known to him. Mrs. Weasley,
06:21on the other hand, had made a habit of bringing her haircutting kit to the train platform each year.
06:26Kyle stepped aside, letting the group into the living room. Fred set the cake on the table,
06:33and Kyle went to fetch drinks. Do you want some wine? He pulled a bottle from the cabinet,
06:39eyeing Bill and Charlie. No, Mom wouldn't. Hold on. Charlie's refusal stopped short when he noticed
06:47the label. How old is that fire whiskey? Kyle held up the bottle. 150 years, it's written,
06:56written right here. It's real aged fire whiskey, a gift from the Romanian Ministry of Magic.
07:02Oh, in that case, I'll take some, Charlie said, licking his lips.
07:07Are you sure you won't get in trouble for bringing that out? Bill asked, raising an eyebrow.
07:14The best stock at the Leaky Cauldron was usually a hundred years old, and even that was rare.
07:18Not even a pocket full of galleons could convince Tom to part with it, let alone 150-year-old fire
07:25whiskey. No worries, Kyle assured him. My dad hardly ever drinks alone, and since it's been ages since
07:33we were all together, I'm sure he'll invite you and Mr. Weasley to join him for a drink at dinner
07:38tonight. I'm just starting the festivities a little early. Then I'll have some too, Bill said,
07:45conjuring a glass with a quick flick of his wand. Fred and George, eager to join in, conjured their
07:51own glasses, but Kyle, without a word, tossed them two bottles of juice. Hogwarts. I am such a model
07:59wizard. Chapter 452, Divergence Fred and George expressed their strong dissatisfaction with Kyle's
08:06preferential treatment, insisting that they were old enough to try the aged fire whiskey.
08:12Kyle, however, continued to ignore them. It wasn't until a few minutes later, when Bill lay sprawled
08:18on the floor, fast asleep, that the twins went quiet. They exchanged a look, shrugged, and nonchalantly
08:26resumed sipping their juice. They'd watched Bill go from drinking to not enough, and then simply sink
08:32to the floor as if he'd come over just to take a nap on Kyle's carpet. The whole process had been
08:37remarkably seamless, without even a pause, as if Bill had choreographed it. Charlie, meanwhile, was
08:45handling his drink just fine. As a dragon keeper, he was no stranger to strong spirits and had more
08:51experience pacing himself. He took a cautious sip of his fire whiskey and glanced over at Bill.
08:58Does he think he's drinking ale? He scoffed, amused at his brother's lack of restraint.
09:03Much like Fred and George never missed a chance to poke fun at Percy, Charlie and Bill had a similar
09:09sibling tradition. The difference was that Bill was generally sharper and could hold his own, always
09:15finding a way to retaliate. But right now, he was out cold, leaving Charlie to enjoy a small victory
09:21and a second sip of fire whiskey. Kyle brought out more candy and snacks, which included an assortment
09:28of treats he'd received as gifts. Everyone began snacking and chatting idly. At first, the conversation
09:36was light-hearted. Charlie shared tales from the Romanian Dragon Reserve, like the time a few reckless
09:42wizards tried to steal a dragon egg, only to be chased off by a roaring mother dragon, leaving them
09:47so terrified they'd begged the dragon keepers for help. He also mentioned the excitement whenever a
09:53dragon laid a new clutch of eggs. These weren't the kinds of stories found in textbooks, and Kyle
09:59and the others listened, captivated. In exchange, Kyle shared some of his own Hogwarts stories.
10:06Charlie was fascinated by his account of Professor Trelawney's dramatic predictions in third year,
10:11the basilisk incident, and the time Dementors had stormed the Quidditch pitch in his fourth year.
10:17It was hard for him to believe all that had actually happened.
10:21When I was at school, Hogwarts was never this exciting, Charlie laughed, shaking his head.
10:27Charlie was especially intrigued by the basilisk. As a dragon keeper, he shared Hagrid's passion for
10:34dangerous, large magical creatures and had become increasingly interested in anything as formidable as a
10:39basilisk. I'd love to see a basilisk one day, he said wistfully. Fred and George quickly waved their
10:47hands to dissuade him. The basilisk was a deadly creature that could kill with a single look.
10:53When they'd first heard Ron was involved in the incident, they'd been so shaken they'd nearly
10:58collapsed with worry, thankfully, it had turned out to be a false alarm. They didn't think curiosity was
11:04worth risking one's life. Fortunately, Charlie was only speaking in general terms. After all, you
11:11couldn't just decide to go and see a basilisk. Charlie put down his cup, stuffed a large piece
11:18of buttered toffee into his mouth, and shifted to another topic. Kyle, I heard from Fred that your
11:24Hufflepuffs have won the Quidditch cup four years in a row. Oh, it's all just luck. We only won because
11:31everyone else was being nice, it's really not worth mentioning, really, Kyle replied, modestly waving
11:37his hands. Fred and George looked slightly agitated, their jaws clenching. If Kyle hadn't been grinning
11:45so obviously, they might have actually believed him. Charlie glanced at them, puzzled. Didn't you say
11:52Harry got a firebolt? And you still lost? Fred and George took a resentful sip of their juice,
11:59looking resolute. We'll definitely win next year. Fred said firmly. You Hufflepuffs won't win five
12:08years in a row. George added. Well, you'll have to work hard, then, because it's going to be very
12:14difficult to take the cup from us next year, Kyle replied with a mischievous smile, raising an eyebrow.
12:21Charlie opened his mouth, as if about to say something, but then held back and changed the
12:26subject instead. Kyle, who do you think will win the World Cup this year? Ireland, of course,
12:33Kyle said without hesitation. No, Charlie shook his head. I think it'll be Bulgaria. They've got
12:41their lineup complete this year with Victor Crum, and they'll definitely be a top contender. Ha,
12:47only a seeker would root for Bulgaria, Kyle shot back, playfully. Quidditch is a seven-player sport.
12:54A talented seeker is important, but the chasers are the real core of the team. Oh. Charlie sat up
13:02straighter. Why do you say that? It's simple. Everyone's focused on Bulgaria adding Crum,
13:10but no one's noticed that they replaced one of their veteran chasers. The reason they gave in
13:15the daily Quidditch was that he was too old to work well with Crum. Ridiculous. A chaser just needs to
13:22score points, he doesn't need to be perfectly in sync with the seeker. Can't he just toss a quaffle
13:28over to Crum? Kyle snorted. Believe it or not, they're going to end up with their faces in the mud
13:34this tournament, unless Crum manages to catch the snitch before they fall 150 points behind.
13:40Only then will Bulgaria stand a chance. Fred and George nodded in agreement.
13:47They shared Kyle's perspective, especially after their own match against Hufflepuff.
13:52They now understood all too well the importance of chasers scoring consistently.
13:58If the score gap becomes too wide, even the best seeker can't save the game. At best,
14:04the seeker can only delay the inevitable, but without enough scoring strength,
14:08it's useless to prolong the game. No, I still believe Bulgaria will win,
14:14Charlie insisted. Ivanova is a very skilled chaser, and Dimitrov, though young,
14:19has already made a name for himself in international matches. He's as talented as Crum.
14:26You can't mean Dimitrov, the one Moran beat three times in a row during the qualifiers,
14:31Kyle said with a grin. Charlie blushed slightly but still stood his ground,
14:36firmly insisting that the Bulgarian team would come out on top. But with a one-against-three
14:42disadvantage in the room, it was hard to keep up the debate. Eventually, Charlie hoisted Bill,
14:48who was still sound asleep, over his shoulder and prepared to head back to the burrow.
14:53Bill's long ponytail trailed on the floor, helping to sweep up a few crumbs on the way out.
14:58That poor seeker, Fred chuckled once Charlie had left. He and George exchanged victorious high-fives,
15:06grinning. They had chosen not to return with Charlie, mostly because Percy was home on a day
15:12off and had been holed up in his room all morning, writing a report on leaking cauldrons and forbidding
15:17any noise. They'd barely been up a few hours and had already been scolded several times.
15:23It was much quieter here.
15:25Hogwarts. I am such a model wizard.
15:29Chapter 453, Top Level Box Bill slept soundly until evening, when he was finally woken up,
15:36but the process was a bit of a team effort. Fred and George came up with the idea, Ron fetched the
15:42water, Ginny passed the bucket, and Charlie delivered the final touch by splashing the
15:46entire bucket of cool water directly onto Bill's face. Even if Bill wanted to get angry,
15:52he wouldn't have known who to blame. Since Bill and Charlie were both home, and it was Kyle's
15:58birthday, Mrs. Weasley had been busy in the kitchen since noon, preparing a big, delicious dinner.
16:04Just as Kyle had hoped, Chris arrived with his bottle of 150-year-old fire whiskey.
16:09Mr. Weasley's eyes lit up when he saw the impressive number on the label.
16:15Unable to resist, Bill asked for a small glass, but this time he paced himself,
16:20sipping it slowly like Mr. Weasley. So instead of passing out immediately,
16:25he only collapsed onto the table near the end of dinner. Unfortunately, he did so just as Percy
16:31was taking a sip of his soup, splashing it all over Percy's shirt. Percy, displeased,
16:37pointed out that it was the shirt he intended to wear to work the next day.
16:42Even after Mrs. Weasley cleaned the soup stains off with a quick spell,
16:46Percy muttered under his breath as he returned to his room.
16:49If he's so afraid of getting dirty, he shouldn't have worn it to dinner, Fred commented.
16:55Maybe he thought Mr. Crouch would drop by, George added with a laugh.
17:00Mrs. Weasley gave both of them a light smack on the head, which quickly shut them up.
17:04But this little mishap didn't spoil the cheerful mood.
17:09After dinner, the younger ones who hadn't had any alcohol helped Bill up to his room.
17:14Meanwhile, Charlie had slumped over the table across from him.
17:18Ron and Ginny tried tugging and pulling at him for a while, but they couldn't move him far,
17:23so they settled on shifting him from his chair to the floor.
17:26A few gnomes even wandered over, curiously poking Charlie's face with their long, thin fingers.
17:32Go away.
17:35Ron shooed the gnomes off before he and Ginny dragged Charlie back inside to the burrow.
17:40The next morning, Charlie woke up with a vague, dull ache, feeling as though he'd been trampled by a dragon.
17:47And so, the days drifted by until mid-August.
17:51One evening, Mr. Weasley came home beaming with excitement.
17:54Did you get the tickets, Dad?
17:57Fred asked, his face lighting up.
18:01Oh, I have a surprise for you, Mr. Weasley said, pretending to sound disappointed,
18:06though he couldn't hide the grin on his face.
18:08A big surprise.
18:11He pulled out a stack of colorful tickets.
18:14Thirteen of them, and they're all for the best seats in the house.
18:18Fred asked in a hushed tone,
18:19What do you mean by the best seats?
18:22The top box, Mr. Weasley replied.
18:25We'll be right up front, sitting in the same row as the Minister of Magic.
18:30Oh, brilliant.
18:32Fred and George's faces flushed with excitement as they clapped each other on the shoulders.
18:38They'd assumed Mr. Weasley would, at best, get tickets for the regular stands,
18:43but the top box was beyond their wildest hopes.
18:45It was the best spot in the stadium, offering a perfect view of the entire field.
18:51Dad, how did you manage that?
18:54Ron asked in admiration.
18:57For some special reason, many people in the ministry couldn't attend the match,
19:01Mr. Weasley explained.
19:03So the Department of Magical Games and Sports gave Chris and me these tickets.
19:08This way, the top box won't look so empty.
19:11That's lucky.
19:13Ron said, unable to hide his excitement.
19:17But 13 tickets still aren't enough, Fred said, frowning as he did a quick count.
19:22There are nine of us in our family, plus Kyle's family, Harry, Hermione, Cho, Conna, Cedric.
19:30We're still short.
19:31Don't worry, dear, Mrs. Weasley said with a smile.
19:36I'm not much for those big, noisy events, so I'll give my ticket to Harry, and Hermione can have my other one.
19:43Same here, Chris said, chuckling.
19:46We have more important things to deal with than the World Cup, that's part of why the top box is empty to begin with.
19:52And Diggory already has a ticket, we ran into him at the Department of Magical Games and Sports.
19:59So, that leaves 11 tickets, Fred counted.
20:03The last two can go to Cho and Conna.
20:06Excellent.
20:07Fred and George high-fived again.
20:10With the ticket arrangement settled, the group went back to the borough.
20:15Mrs. Weasley began writing letters to let Harry and Hermione know.
20:18Hermione's letter was easy, she simply sent it off with an owl.
20:23But when it came time to write to Harry, Mrs. Weasley hesitated.
20:28She remembered that Harry's aunt and uncle despised anything to do with wizards, and sending an owl might offend them.
20:35Leave it to me, Molly, said Mr. Weasley, stepping forward with confidence.
20:40I know exactly how muggles send letters.
20:43They need these.
20:44He reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of colorful stamps.
20:50Just stick these on the envelope and drop it in the postbox.
20:54There's one just outside the ministry entrance.
20:57I've been wanting to try that for ages.
21:00Are you sure, Arthur?
21:02Mrs. Weasley asked.
21:04Just put it in the postbox, and it'll be fine.
21:08Trust me.
21:09I'm a professional.
21:11All right.
21:12Mrs. Weasley looked at the pile of stamps.
21:16How many should I put on?
21:18Mr. Weasley hesitated, then, with a determined look, said, put them all on.
21:24If there aren't enough, the letter might come back.
21:28Okay.
21:29Kyle watched as Mrs. Weasley began affixing all the stamps, covering nearly the entire envelope and leaving just a small square for the Desley's address.
21:37Actually, Kyle ventured, one stamp should be enough.
21:43If you put too many, it might look a bit suspicious.
21:47One stamp?
21:49Mr. Weasley asked in surprise.
21:52Kyle nodded, picking up a single ten-penny stamp.
21:55Yes, this one will do.
21:58Let's take the others off.
22:00Mr. Weasley quickly gathered up the extra stamps.
22:03They were part of his prized collection, and he'd felt a pang at seeing them all stuck on the envelope.
22:10Now he felt as if he'd reclaimed something precious.
22:13With the letter prepared, Mrs. Weasley clapped her hands.
22:17There.
22:19The tournament's on the weekend, so we'll pick Harry up Friday, and we'll be just in time.
22:23What if his aunt and uncle say no?
22:27Ron asked.
22:28He can't miss the tournament.
22:31Of course he can't miss it, Mrs. Weasley said.
22:34We're picking him up whether they agree or not, but it's only polite to pretend we're asking their permission.
22:41Hogwarts.
22:42I am such a model wizard.
22:45Chapter 454, Kanna's Reply Friday arrived, the day before the Quidditch World Cup.
22:50In the morning, a brand new car pulled into St. Catchpole Village.
22:55Hermione had arrived.
22:58Mrs. Weasley had offered to pick her up, but Mr. Granger had thought it was too much trouble,
23:03so he followed the address on the letter and drove Hermione himself.
23:07As a token of his appreciation, he brought along a bundle of oral care kits as a gift.
23:13Oh, what a beautiful car.
23:15Mr. Weasley's eyes sparkled as he admired the silver sedan Mr. Granger drove.
23:21Ever since Ron had lost their old Ford, Mrs. Weasley had expressly forbidden Mr. Weasley
23:26from buying another car, so now he could only enjoy them from afar, circling the sedan and
23:31even crouching down to inspect the wheel patterns.
23:35Mr. Granger was used to this kind of behavior by now and didn't mind, even handing Mr. Weasley
23:40the keys.
23:42After all, when he first encountered the wizarding world, he hadn't behaved much better himself.
23:48Mrs. Weasley came out and invited Mr. Granger to stay for lunch, but he politely declined,
23:53saying he had another appointment with a client later.
23:56Mr. Granger was a dentist, a profession Mr. Weasley found endlessly fascinating.
24:02After he left, Mr. Weasley took the oral care kits and went off to study them with great interest.
24:08Meanwhile, Mrs. Weasley called Ginny over and asked her to show Hermione around the borough.
24:15It was Hermione's first time seeing a wizard's home, and she was utterly captivated by everything.
24:21The atmosphere was so different from school, it all felt distinctly magical and homely.
24:27By afternoon, Cedric and Cho had arrived, adding to the group's numbers.
24:31As Fred and George noted, they had never seen the house so lively and crowded.
24:38Kyle had written a letter to Kanna, inviting her to join them, but when his owl, Ratten,
24:43returned, it brought only a short reply saying she'd meet them at the match site the following day.
24:49Along with the note, Ratten carried a small bottle of a bluish potion,
24:53a poisonous mixture commonly used to get rid of household pests.
24:56Around 5 p.m., Mr. Weasley prepared to pick up Harry.
25:01It was his turn, and he intended to make the trip while the others finished preparing dinner.
25:06Dad, can we come with you?
25:09Fred and George volunteered.
25:11They'd rushed back from Kyle's house the moment they heard that someone was going to pick up Harry.
25:16All right, Mr. Weasley agreed, but after a moment of thought, he added, no tricks.
25:23The family doesn't like wizards, and we don't want to get Harry into trouble.
25:27I don't think he could get into any worse trouble with them, Fred muttered,
25:31remembering their last encounter with the Desleys.
25:34Mr. Weasley didn't hear that, as he was busy throwing flu powder into the fireplace.
25:39He had arranged through the Flu Network Authority to temporarily connect the Desleys' fireplace to
25:45the Flu Network, specifically to pick up Harry.
25:49Although it was generally against ministry policy to connect Muggle fireplaces,
25:53Mr. Weasley had friends in the right places, including some at the Flu Network Authority,
25:58and the application was swiftly approved, for a brief 10-minute window.
26:02Knowing that Muggles used stamps for mail and that wizards used flu powder to visit,
26:06Kyle didn't know whether to be amused or horrified.
26:10Given the choice, he figured the Desleys would prefer an owl delivery over someone bursting out
26:15of their fireplace unannounced. But he didn't interfere, the designated pick-up time was 5 p.m.,
26:21and with less than 10 minutes left, they had little choice. Apparition might alarm the Desleys even more.
26:29Hurry up. We only have 10 minutes. Mr. Weasley called.
26:34As the flames in the fireplace turned green, he stepped forward and called out Harry's address,
26:404, Privet Drive. The green flames shot up sharply, and Mr. Weasley vanished.
26:47Fred and George followed closely behind, stepping into the fireplace one after the other.
26:53Ron moved to join them, but Mrs. Weasley held him back.
26:56Not too big a group, that family doesn't like wizards, she reminded him.
27:02Hearing this, Hermione, who had been excited to try the FLU network, held back as well.
27:08Five minutes later, Fred was the first to reappear.
27:12As soon as Fred walked out of the fireplace, he hurried over to Kyle, whispering excitedly,
27:16I tossed a bag of sweets when I left, and I made sure to leave one behind on purpose.
27:23At that moment, George and Harry arrived, emerging from the fireplace together.
27:28Did he eat it?
27:30Fred asked eagerly, reaching out to help Harry up.
27:34Yes, Harry replied, getting to his feet.
27:37But what was that?
27:39A balloon candy.
27:41Fred grinned.
27:42It was actually your idea, and we've been waiting all summer for someone to test it on.
27:48The small kitchen filled with laughter.
27:51Harry let out a sigh of relief, he had thought he'd blown Dudley up again when he saw him
27:56floating uncontrollably toward the ceiling, just like Aunt Marge last year.
28:01Harry looked around and greeted everyone.
28:04Charlie and Bill, curious to meet him for the first time, greeted him as well.
28:08They had only heard about the boy who lived and were eager to see him in person.
28:13But soon, the fire in the fireplace died down.
28:17Mr. Weasley hasn't come out yet.
28:20Hermione said nervously.
28:22Don't worry, Ron waved his hand, dad'll find a way.
28:26Ron hadn't even finished when a faint popping sound echoed, and Mr. Weasley suddenly appeared
28:32next to George, looking furious.
28:33This is no laughing matter, Fred, he scolded.
28:38What did you give that muggle boy to eat?
28:41I didn't give him anything, Fred replied with a wicked grin.
28:45I just happened to, accidentally, spill it on the floor, and he picked it up and ate it
28:49himself, so it's not my fault.
28:52If he'd handed the sweet back to me, nothing would've happened, right?
28:56You did it on purpose.
28:59Mr. Weasley snapped, knowing his son too well.
29:02You know he's on a diet, of course he'd eat it.
29:06Did he really fly?
29:08George asked eagerly.
29:10All the way to the ceiling.
29:13Mr. Weasley replied.
29:15Harry and the Weasley brothers burst into laughter again.
29:19This isn't funny.
29:21Mr. Weasley insisted, frowning.
29:24This kind of behavior damages relations between wizards and muggles.
29:28You shouldn't, it has nothing to do with him being a muggle.
29:32Fred interrupted angrily.
29:34It's because he's always tormenting Harry, George added.
29:38And that family won't even give him dinner.
29:41Exactly.
29:43Harry said earnestly.
29:45To make Dudley feel better about his own diet, Aunt Petunia gave Harry even smaller portions,
29:51often only a few miserable slices of grapefruit per meal.
29:55Dudley even stole food from Harry when he could.
29:57If it hadn't been for the food Ron and Hermione sent over the summer, Harry wasn't sure he'd
30:03have made it through the month.
30:05That's not the point.
30:07What you did was wrong, Mr. Weasley said, still irritated.
30:11They'll take it out on Harry, you're only causing him trouble.
30:14It's all right, Mr. Weasley, Harry shrugged, showing he didn't mind.
30:21His aunt and uncle would never change their view of him, especially after he'd accidentally
30:25inflated Aunt March last year.
30:27To him, this was just another chapter in a long book.
30:31Whatever.
30:33Hogwarts.
30:33I am such a model wizard.
30:37Chapter 455, Departure
30:39The arrival of their friends made the burrow even livelier than before.
30:44Everyone was laughing, shouting, and arguing, chasing gnomes in the garden or mock dueling
30:49over the tables late into the night until Mrs. Weasley finally sent them off to their
30:53rooms.
30:54The next day dawned early.
30:57Kyle was up at first light, dressed, and made his way to the burrow.
31:00The Weasleys seemed to have just woken up too, hair tousled, yawning, and looking only
31:06half awake.
31:08Darling, I was just about to wake you, Mrs. Weasley said, coming over with a tray of pastrami
31:13sandwiches.
31:15We're leaving soon, so have a bite.
31:18Kyle nodded and took a sandwich, glancing over as Mr. Weasley eagerly showed Harry the
31:23muggle clothes he'd put together for the day.
31:25What do you think, he asked.
31:28We need to blend in, after all.
31:31Do I look like a muggle, Harry?
31:34Harry smiled.
31:36Yes.
31:37Though the mismatched golf shirt and jeans were a bit off, they were passable enough for
31:41any muggle street.
31:43Why aren't Bill, Charlie, and Percy here?
31:47Fred asked as he munched on a sandwich.
31:50They'll apparate over, Mrs. Weasley said, placing a big pot of porridge on the table and ladling
31:55it into everyone's bowls.
31:58So they're getting to sleep in a bit.
32:00Fred muttered something, his mouth too full of sandwich for anyone to understand.
32:06Kyle sighed.
32:07He could apparate, too, but he was still too young to take the licensing exam, so he had
32:12to get up early and go with the rest of the group.
32:15Footsteps sounded in the hallway as Cho, Hermione, and Ginny entered the kitchen, looking pale and
32:21slightly disheveled, their hair resembling birds' nests.
32:25Ginny plopped down at the table, grumbling about the early wake-up call.
32:30Breakfast didn't take long.
32:32After gulping down porridge and sandwiches, everyone was ready.
32:36Time to go.
32:38Have fun, Mrs. Weasley said, glancing at her watch.
32:42I'll send Bill, Charlie, and Percy over at noon.
32:46With that, the group set off through the still dark yard, heading toward a distant hill.
32:52As they walked, Harry asked curiously, where's the Quidditch match being held?
32:57It's been a real logistical nightmare, Mr. Weasley sighed.
33:01With about 100,000 wizards coming to watch, we couldn't just pick a typical location.
33:07Imagine trying to cram that many wizards into Diagon Alley or Platform 9 and 3 quarters.
33:13So, we found an isolated swamp and have taken every possible precaution against muggles.
33:19The ministry's been working on this for months.
33:23So, how are we getting there?
33:25Harry asked.
33:27On foot?
33:28Of course not, Mr. Weasley replied.
33:32We're using a port key.
33:34It's a magical object that transports wizards from one place to another at a designated time.
33:40The closest one to us is up on the Stoatshed Hill, that's where we're headed.
33:44The journey was much longer than expected, and Kyle could hear Harry's breathing grow heavier,
33:49especially as they climbed Stoatshed Hill.
33:51When they finally reached the top, daylight had begun to break, and everyone was already
33:57feeling worn out.
33:59Mr. Weasley wiped the sweat from his forehead, panting, good, we're right on time, ten minutes
34:04to go.
34:06Yo, Arthur, a voice called out ahead.
34:09A man with a brown beard stood there, holding an old, moldy boot in his hand.
34:14Come quickly.
34:16We've got the port key, he called out with a grin.
34:20Amos.
34:21Mr. Weasley said, smiling as he strode over to greet the man.
34:26Harry and Hermione looked over as he introduced him,
34:28this is Amos Diggory.
34:31He works in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.
34:35And here's his son, Cedric, I think you all know him.
34:40Of course, they knew Cedric.
34:42Hi, how are you?
34:44Cedric greeted everyone warmly before moving to the end of the line.
34:49He spotted Cho and walked over, smiling.
34:52Cho, did you sleep well?
34:54It was all right.
34:56Just too early of a morning, she said, cheeks flushed from the climb.
35:01Cedric, clearly smitten, couldn't take his eyes off her.
35:05Tsk.
35:07Fred whispered to Kyle in mock disgust.
35:10Why isn't he looking at us?
35:12Are we invisible?
35:14At least to him, pretty much, Kyle said with a shrug.
35:18Ho ho, George snickered.
35:20I'd love to pop a balloon candy in his mouth, let him float all the way to the World Cup.
35:27Put in two more, Kyle suggested with a smirk, make sure he floats high.
35:32While they muttered about Cedric, the adults chatted nearby.
35:36That was a bit of a walk, wasn't it, Arthur?
35:40Mr. Diggory said, passing Mr. Weasley the old boot.
35:43It was the only spot nearby without muggles, Mr. Weasley replied.
35:49And you?
35:50We were up at two, Mr. Diggory said, rubbing his eyes.
35:54I'll be honest, I'd have preferred it if Cedric could apparate by now.
35:59But it's worth it for the Quidditch World Cup, can't miss it.
36:03Where are your seats?
36:05Top box, Mr. Diggory said proudly.
36:08Chris helped Ludo Bagman out with something a while back, and we managed to get the best seats.
36:15Only one ticket, though, so I let Cedric have it.
36:19No ticket for you.
36:20Mr. Weasley frowned.
36:23There were regular seats available, but I passed on them, Mr. Diggory said with a shrug.
36:28I've got other things to handle while most people are tied up with the World Cup, so I'll be busy anyway.
36:34Just keep an eye on Cedric for me.
36:36Of course, Mr. Weasley nodded.
36:39But I thought you were a fan of Quidditch.
36:42Oh, I am, Mr. Diggory said, his voice rising in frustration.
36:47But not this year's teams.
36:50Peru didn't make it to the finals, so what's the point?
36:54Mr. Weasley nodded, remembering that Amos was an avid Peru fan.
36:59They'd been knocked out by Ireland in the semi-finals, and it looked like Amos was still bitter about it.
37:04Mr. Weasley decided it was best to let the topic drop.
37:08Don't worry, Cedric's in good hands, he assured Mr. Diggory.
37:13Then he glanced at his watch and called out, one minute left.
37:17Hurry up, everyone, get in position.
37:20Just make sure a finger touches the portkey.
37:23The group, laden with large backpacks, managed to squeeze around the old boot Mr. Weasley held out.
37:30They formed a tight circle.
37:33Three.
37:34Mr. Weasley muttered, eyes fixed on his watch.
37:38Two, one.
