00:00I am almost for last two and a half years training.
00:27We started in the year of 2022, we have 40 women officers from all three services and one Agnivir from army.
00:40We have different stages of selection over these two and a half years and we have a crew.
00:47We have a lot of training along the west coast of India.
00:52Our first longest voyage was from Mumbai to Seychelles and back.
00:58Our experience has been developed.
01:00We have different boats for training.
01:04Our training and determination have been very confident.
01:09We have all the best to the entire crew.
01:13You are going to be able to achieve the same 7,000 nautical miles.
01:17You will be able to achieve three days.
01:19What is your dream of this journey?
01:23Actually, I think that the realisation sets in.
01:28After three years of our hard work, we finally cast off our expedition.
01:35There is a lot of excitement and overwhelming feeling.
01:42Finally, that day has come where we are going to make history.
01:48So if you can pick 10 members from the team.
01:52There are only 10 people who have been composed of questions.
01:54So for that, what's your collaboration?
01:56What do you say to me?
01:58I'm sorry. I know how to understand.
02:00Like you cut the 10 people, you have 10 people.
02:07Every time you have a job, you have to take a job.
02:12Okay.
02:14Okay.
02:15Okay.
02:16Okay.
02:17Okay.
02:18Okay.
02:19Okay.
02:20We have 10 people.
02:24Our crew has 10 members.
02:28One of the officers should be able to take over the responsibility.
02:34Every officer should be able to take over that responsibility.
02:40All officers need training.
02:44This is not a distinction.
02:46If we have one officer, we have to take over those officers.
02:50It's a team effort.
03:04Thank you, thank you so much.
03:09Tell us about your training. When did you start training?
03:15Our first training was in 2022.
03:18We came in three batches.
03:19As I told you, 40-41 women officers were there.
03:22Total who participated and volunteered to go for this expedition.
03:28So, at various levels,
03:31we were doing three batches training.
03:47So, it was very basic.
03:50We were taking the class to take the water.
03:53How to get the water on the ground,
03:56how to get the torch,
03:58How to use, how to use, how to use the raft, how to use the life jacket.
04:05We started with our instructor's spoon feeding stage.
04:11Then we upgraded to a small dinghy boat, which can go two crews.
04:17We have a little bit of water, some water, how to drag the water.
04:23Then we went to 17 feet and 21 feet.
04:27Now is the time that we have come to a 50 footer sailing yacht.
04:30So the leap was not sudden.
04:33It was a very gradual and pre-planned training.
04:36I would rather say that from small to small to small to small to small to small to small.
04:42That is about it.
04:43Now finally, we are where we are today.
04:48So after this training, you are going to suffer 26 nautical miles, what are you feeling?
04:56The feeling is very, very weird.
05:00They say that you feel very different, you have butterflies.
05:06It's that kind of feeling.
05:07Because when we were here three years ago, we didn't think that we would go out and represent someone.
05:13We were here as a team and we were thinking that we are going to gain some experience, which is much more than your profession, which is much more than what you do in your daily routine.
05:23It was like it is a one of a kind thing that we will explore what is life about.
05:28The ideology was that on day one and it is now after three years that the ideology has, you know, totally turned.
05:36So we will go four countries, that is a different thing.
05:41But now we are not thinking about it.
05:42Now we have our target, our target is that we have to reach there.
05:47So we are not thinking about the destination, we are thinking about the journey and we have been planning and getting prepared for that journey that we have to do.
05:57So there is no input or embargo by the organization on us.
06:14They have been supportive and basically venturing out and, you know, women not only in Navy can do it.
06:27But given the opportunity to anybody.
06:29So that is what we are trying to prove here and that is what we are trying to show it to the world.
06:34That it is not that what you say, it is its work, so it can do it.
06:39If you have to teach someone somewhere and you have to sit at home, that can do it.
06:45So that mindset, that we are trying to do that, we are trying to do that.
06:51The whole idea of this Tri-Services was that only.
06:55Irrespective of the Navy domain or the Coast Guard domain, we are doing that and I am sure eventually that somebody is doing flying somewhere, some other service.
07:05So that is a very great thing and then the international relationships that will solidify and the way the countries host are.
07:18are, you know, Indian boats, not only boats, to the Indians, how the countries welcome you, the host you, is very good to see and it shows our relations with the international world, the country's relations.
07:33So it is very good to see that.
07:35I am the Tri-Services All Women's Circumnavigation Sailing Team expedition leader.
07:41I am the Tri-Services All Women's Circumnavigation Team leader.
07:49I am the Tri-Services All Women's Circumnavigation Team leader.
07:54I am the Tri-Services All Women's Circumnavigation Team leader.
08:04It's not a big deal.
08:07I think that my experience is a big deal.
08:11We use a tiller.
08:14We use a tiller as well.
08:17It's like you're going to cycle.
08:21You've got to make a Mercedes.
08:23We find the difference between the difference.
08:27We find the difference between the difference.
08:29With respect to the Namin Shikala,
08:32For example, when you need to harness a wind, the power of the wind, and your power of the wind.
08:39This is the challenge we have to learn from.
08:44The challenge is that we need to do three different services.
08:49We need to do different cultures.
08:51There is a different culture.
08:52There is an army culture, a force culture, and navy culture.
08:55There's three cultures, we need to do one team.
08:59We are going to put in the boat, because it is a different thing.
09:07We don't have a challenge, but we are facing a new challenge.
09:12We are going to start the expedition.
09:15We have a boat, waves, waves, and waves.
09:20We can help them, we can help them.
09:23We are going to have a lot of force in the air.
09:27We are going to have a lot of food in the air.
09:31We are going to have a lot of energy in the boat.
09:34We can help our active yourself.
09:37We are going to have a lot of hot water.
09:40We are going to have the food for a couple.
09:43I can help the food for instance.
09:47Especially if we are going to get cold water.
09:51We are going to have the energy to make our energy.
09:56So we have to work with energy and energy.
10:00So we have to include some of the challenges.
10:03What are the tasks that are in Australia,
