00:05All of a sudden, my dog's getting attacked.
00:09In the video, you can hear Shirley screaming for help as her dog Sparky cries.
00:14She tried fighting off the pit bull.
00:16I had my cane. I started beating him with a cane.
00:18And when that didn't stop the big dog from attacking 14-year-old Sparky,
00:22Shirley, who weighs only 91 pounds, decided to bite the pit bull.
00:26I just had my hands in his mouth, I was trying to open his mouth,
00:29and I couldn't do it because I wasn't strong enough.
00:32So I leaned down and I bit him on the back of the neck.
00:35Suddenly, the dog stopped when its owner arrived.
