Rory McIlroy is 'under no illusion' as to how difficult it will be to retain the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.
Transcript
00:00History would tell you it's very difficult.
00:05There's a reason that in the last decade each Ryder Cup has went to the home team.
00:11We know how difficult it's going to be.
00:13We're under knowledge.
00:15I have complete confidence in Luke and his vice-captains and the team that they've put together.
00:22And I keep saying this, we have a massive opportunity to do something that not a lot of Ryder Cup teams say that they've done.
00:32I've been lucky enough to be part of one Ryder Cup team that won away.
00:36We've got a lot of people within that team, whether they're myself and Justin Rose that are playing.
00:42But then obviously you've got Francesco and Luke on a vice-captain side that were there, that played.
00:55So we have experience in knowing what it takes.
01:00But I think we all know it's going to be very, very difficult.
01:03And I don't want to speak on behalf of everyone that's on the team, but I would assume we're all very, very excited for that opportunity.
