A 39-year-old man is in a critical condition after being shot by police in Brisbane. Police were attending a house fire at Wynnum west when a man at the scene was shot by officers. He's been taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition with a wound to his abdomen. It took eight fire crews around an hour to extinguish the blaze. There are no reports of other injuries. The police ethical standards command is now investigating.
