Raj Chengappa, Group Editorial Director (Publishing) of India Today Magazine, delivered the welcome address at the India Today Conclave South 2025, describing the South as one of the most vibrant regions of the country. He noted that the six southern states, with only 20% of India’s population, contribute nearly one-third of the nation’s GDP, calling the region the true economic powerhouse of India.
