WATCH: U.S President Donald Trump says he’s ready to hit Russia with another round of sanctions, claiming the Ukraine conflict “doesn’t affect us because it’s not our soldiers.” He also revealed plans to speak with Vladimir Putin “over the next couple of days” and hinted at “interesting discussions” with certain European leaders. Trump predicts he will get the Ukraine war “settled,” but questions remain whether Europe will cooperate.

00:07You know, it's interesting. It doesn't affect us because it's not our soldier.
00:12It's such a horrible waste of humanity. So, no, I am not thrilled with what's happening there, I will tell you.

00:25Russia-Ukraine situation, we're going to get it done. I have confidence we're going to get it done.
00:31The Pressure, back on Russia. Russia had a pretty big attack on Ukraine over the weekend.
00:36Yeah, I know all about it.
00:37You have always said how good your relationship is with President Putin, but he's not really giving you anything that you want.
00:44Is that making you less trustful of him?
00:48Well, nobody was tougher in Russia than me. That has to do with the pipeline.
00:53As you know, Nord Stream 2 and lots of other things. But I'm not happy. I'm not happy.
00:59I'm not happy about the whole situation. You know, it's interesting. It doesn't affect us because it's not our soldiers.
01:06But they're losing now. I used to tell you 5,000. They're losing 7,000 between Ukraine and Russia.
01:127,000 soldiers every single week. It's such a horrible waste of humanity.
01:18So, no, I am not thrilled with what's happening there. I will tell you.
01:23I think it's going to get settled.
01:25So, I settled seven wars.
01:27This, I would have said, would have been maybe the easiest one to settle of all.
01:31But with war, you never know what you're getting.
01:34But we're going to get it. I believe we're going to get it settled.
01:37But I am not happy with them.
01:39I'm not happy with anything having to do with that war.
01:42It's just such a waste of great humanity.
01:44As of right now, what do you think is the greatest obstacle to a peace deal in Ukraine?
01:50As of right now, what do you think is the greatest obstacle to a peace deal?
01:54Well, we're going to see.
01:55I mean, we have some very interesting discussions.
01:59You know, Europe, certain European leaders are coming over to our country on Monday or Tuesday.
02:05And individually.
02:08And I think we're going to get that settled.
02:10I think we're going to get it settled.
02:11We have to.
02:14You can't lose.
02:15You know, when they're losing 5,000 to 7,000 soldiers a week for no reason, you have to get it settled.
02:22Of all of the wars, whether it's the Congo and Rwanda, they said it was impossible to settle.
02:29You look at every one of them.
02:31I mean, every one of these wars were impossible.
02:33I got every one of them settled.
02:35Seven of them.
02:36Seven.
02:36This was the one I really thought would be the easiest, but it's not.
02:40But I think it's going to get settled.
02:42Dr. Rwanda, when do you plan to speak to President Putin next?
02:46And what might second...
02:47Look, we're going to get it done.
02:52The Russia-Ukraine situation, we're going to get it done.
02:55I have confidence we're going to get it done.
02:58Think of it.
02:58I got seven done, all of which were impossible to do.
03:04If you look at any one of the seven, you know them.
03:07I don't have to go through them.
03:09Many of them were impossible.
03:10One was 31 years, 10 million people killed.
03:15One was 34 years, with 8 million people killed.
03:18How about the Congo?
03:19They lost 9 million people, and it went on for years with Rwanda.
03:25All settled.
03:26Everybody happy.
03:27The one that I thought would have been, for me, the easiest, because of Putin.
03:33I thought that would have been, it's not turned out that way, but we're going to get it settled.
03:38Are you ready to move to the second phase of sanctions against Russia or punishing Putin?
03:47How was your call with the Prime Minister?
03:57That's a big deal, that very unhappy hat.
03:58I thought that would have been a completelySerum for the first half years, and I thought dasP KYU was the hardest thing to make for sm Shahas.
04:15That's right.
04:15It's over.
04:16There are some for cancellations, COVID one is the hardcore thing that it was.
04:18There are some people that are still that much.
