00:10Scaringly, it was a quick Google search for the technology of what's available.

00:15Hundreds of sites, when you type in deepfake, nudify into the Google search with your filter off,

00:24hundreds of sites appeared.

00:25It was just on our internet, not the deep dark web.

00:30For the victims, it is degrading and devastating.

00:34It even gives me the ick having to stand here in Parliament and hold up a photo of myself,

00:40knowing that it's not me, but that it looks exactly like me.

00:45And this technology is getting better and better every single day.

00:49This may not be limited to just celebrities anymore, or potentially politicians.

00:54This could be your child.

00:56This could be your colleague.

00:58This could be your friends, or anyone within your whanau.
